Jocelyn gives viewers a first hand account of last weekend's exciting Crafts Fair where she won first prize for her cheese sculpture, "Cheddar Squirrel Right Before Dawn." Jocelyn is still on cloud nine after the glorious opening gala for her new gardening book. Roland tells a harrowing story about a near death experience, which can be found in HIS new book, Roland Schitt's Past Life Experiences. They welcome special guest and head waitress at Cafe Tropical, Twyla, who justifiably shows off her impressive doll collection. A "Funny or Die" Exclusive Webisode.
David is embarrassed by a childhood issue that resurfaces, and when Patrick is so understanding, it only makes David spiral further. Johnny, Stevie, and Roland attend a viewing for a motel nearby, but it quickly becomes clear there was a mistake. Alexis helps Moira join social media, and while at first resistant, once she gets the hang of it, Moira can’t seem to get enough.
After Johnny is rejected for a bank loan, he and Moira resolve to pursue Bob as an investor for the new motel. Meanwhile, Alexis and Ted struggle with long-distance, and it’s proving to be especially difficult to find time to chat on their anniversary. David helps Stevie with a job interview for a local airline.
Alexis plans a local premiere for the "Crows" movie, and everyone in town wants to make an appearance on the red carpet. David tends to Patrick who has gotten his wisdom teeth removed, and Patrick announces some unexpected ideas in his slightly-sedated state. After her short-lived stint with Larry Air, Stevie makes a big career decision.
Moira and David sample wine at Herb Ertlinger’s vineyard and accidentally get a bit tipsy. Meanwhile, Johnny attempts to have "the talk" with Patrick, but it’s proving to be difficult when Patrick is so invested in a baseball game. Alexis brings Stevie, Twyla, Ronnie and Jocelyn to a bizarre fitness class.
Johnny and Moira treat themselves to a night in the Presidential Suite at the new motel, but soon discover other people had the same intention. Alexis is pleasantly surprised by a visitor but struggles with the news they’ve unloaded. David and Patrick ready themselves for their engagement photoshoot.
Johnny becomes overly involved in Alexis’s romantic life, making an already difficult time worse for her. After discovering her car covered in eggs, Moira learns she offended the townspeople by disparaging Schitt’s Creek in an interview with People magazine. Jocelyn helps out David and Patrick at the store and proves to be a top-notch salesperson, much to David’s annoyance.
Moira’s former "Sunrise Bay" producers show up with big news, while Alexis binge-watches old episodes of the soap and discovers some dirt. Alexis gives Moira advice on how to proceed, leaving Moira feeling conflicted. Meanwhile, the new motel is proving to be a money pit for Johnny, which has him worried about paying for David’s lavish catering bill for the wedding.
