In the process of doing a job that Olly finds "boring", he spots a rare fish and convinces Beth to abandon the job to take chase. This leads to all kinds of trouble (although ultimately Olly does document his fish!)
Olly accidentally breaks some fragile coral that Uma has warned him to be careful of. Rather than admitting to the mistake, Olly just stays silent and hopes the issue will go away.

Then Skid obtains a powerful prototype magnetic device from Shankley - which he immediately misuses - and he soon finds himself covered in all things metal, including Olly! Now the Olly and Skid MUST cooperate to get themselves out of this mess!
While on assignment in the Kelp Forest, Olly confront a "sea monster" - the giant octopus of Kraken fame. As it turns out, he's a pleasant fellow and would like to keep his existence a secret. Olly promises not to tell anyone - but his duty as a research sub is to report new findings. Should he keep his promise? Or tell Doug?
Olly and Beth are training for their deep sea diving certificates, something Skid proudly lords over them since he is already certified. But when Skid is damaged while taking Doug down into the Deep Trench, Olly and Beth must pool their knowledge and their courage to mount a rescue.

Olly and the gang rescue Grandpa Claude, a very old lobster, from a lobster trap. They learn that he is about to celebrate his 100th birthday and work to deliver him to the fiesta celebration being thrown on his behalf! But it won't be easy!
Beth has a plan to warn her friends about an upcoming storm, but inadvertently fails to warn Ranger. This results in Ranger and his herd of squid being scattered everywhere! Now Beth must recruit the help of her friends to round them back up again.
Diver Doug has to leave SURF for the day and soon a struggle for leadership ensues. It ultimately results in Skid and the subs dropping a crate of electric eels, and teamwork must be applied to retrieve the creatures before Doug returns home.
Olly and Suzy discover they can "water ski" together. Before long, it has become an obsession for Olly and he neglects his work. But when his lack of attention results in a dangerous situation for Beth, he quickly realizes that "balance" is an important lesson in life.
When Ranger organizes a rodeo and asks everyone at SURF to participate, Skid feels left out. He doesn't have the hi-tech tricks of Olly, Beth or Uma, and he can't do acrobatics like Luseal. But on the day of the rodeo Skid discovers that his skills as a transport vehickle are badly needed, and might single-handedly save the rodeo.
While helping Ranger herd his squid, Olly develops a strange "oil leak." Beth uses her problem solving skills to uncover the source of this mysterious oil leak.
Craving a change, the subs and Uma swap the tasks they've been assigned by Doug. Each soon finds the new task really tough and would love to swap back. But both sides are too embarrassed to ask!
Olly and Beth are given an assignment to photograph as many of the rare species on Diver Doug's chart as possible. Olly is determined to find them ALL. So when Skid offers him a photo of a rare spotted sea cucumber, Olly takes it - and the photo turns out to be a fake, since spotted sea cucumber only exists in a distant ocean.
Brandt's "home" - the current shell on his back - is broken in an accident. His friends go out of their way to find him a new home and make him feel better.
Ranger needs move his squid to "greener pastures" and Beth asks to join him. Olly is less enthusiastic about going - he thinks it will be boring. But Olly discovers that, if you open yourself up to new experiences, you just might learn a thing or two.

Submarine D is coming to SURF and Olly and Beth will perform three simple demonstrations to show their competency. Olly is so excited that, during the demonstration he messes up by trying much too hard. It turns out that Sub D did the exact same thing during his first important demonstration!
Doug leaves the subs in charge of babysitting an adorable, but mischeivous baby octopus. When the chance to do something more fun comes up, they pass off their responsibility to others.
Olly and Skid go on an expedition to find the legendary Lost City of Gold. But what they find instead is a whole lot of trouble!
When Olly loses his confidence, Beth exaggerates the truth a bit to help bring him back up to full power!
Luseal gets a bit too competitive trying to show off her acrobatics. She gets some jet boosters from Shankley and uses them to enhance her performance. But she runs into trouble when she loses control of the boosters.
Skid has the one shell that Olly needs to complete his beloved shell collection. Olly would do anything to get it - including anything Skid asks of him. But Olly only needed to give Skid some respect.
The subs and Uma exchange tales of adventure and Skid wants to be part of it. So he starts making up acts of heroism. Then, when he actually DOES perform an heoric act - no one will believe him!
Suzie Seaplane delivers some material for a ship salvage project. Impatient to get home to a birthday party, she takes off without refueling and finds herself caught in a storm and out of gas! She sinks to the bottom of the ocean and must be recovered using the salvaging skills that Olly and Beth have just learned.
Olly gets into trouble when he tries to emulate his hero, Sub D, by going out into a thick fog to save Suzy. But his hero, Sub D saves the day!
Uma breaks one of her "legs" and is confined to a small raft beside Shankley until her new part comes in. She is bored to tears! So Beth and Olly do their best to cheer her.
Suzy is practising her take off and landing skills for a competition that afternoon. Determined not to get pushed around by a little sea horse, Suzy ignores Ranger's advice to avoid taking off over the Kelp Forest, and gets herself tangled in the fronds. When Ranger manages to rescue her, she realizes that she shouldn't have judged Ranger by his size.
Olly and Skid are sent to retrieve a piece of an underwater geyser chimney, and Skid has a great time fooling around and playing in the area while Olly works. But when Olly gets in trouble, Skid stops his goofing and pulls through to help his friend.
Ranger's cousin Shane comes to town and the two seahorse are seriously competitive! This ultimately results in them being lifted into the sky by a balloon - and neither will be the first to "chicken out" and let go of the string!

Skid and Brandt find some sticky stones and, along with Beth and Olly, uses them as construction blocks. They're all in for a big surprise when the sticky stones turn out to be fish eggs - from a sharp-toothed barracuda!
Safe harbor is invaded by non-native jellyfish. And when the jellyfish begin interfering with the local ecology, it's up to our gang to return them to their proper home.

Ranger's overly competitive cousin Shane comes to town and sets up a squid ranch of his own. But he soon finds out the squid he's chosen are Giant Squid - and they can really cause some problems!
