But he gets news from his physician that he only has two weeks to live and the only way to save him from the devil is to perform good deeds until it's time.
Boss Hogg unleashes his "secret weapon" against the Dukes: his college-educated nephew Hughie Hogg comes to Hazzard with some dirty tricks and schemes to frame Bo and Luke into prison. The episode contains an extensive demonstration of the then-new video cassette recording technology (which will be at the heart of Hughie's scheme to video-record the Dukes confronting Boss at the bank) ... which seems to be just the thing to finally put Bo and Luke away for good, but just be careful not to get the tape too close to Cooter's giant magnet.

When Bo is on his way to go boar hunting, Rosco chases him but he has an accident and gets amnesia. Boss Hogg takes advantage of him by claiming to be his father so that Bo will make a moonshine delivery to a big buyer in Chickasaw County.
A pair of jewel thieves comes through Hazzard County and while confronted by Boss and Rosco, they make a getaway in the General Lee. This makes Boss think the Duke boys are a part of the gang and also, when the loot is found in Rosco's patrol car by Flash (who retrieved them), Rosco is fired when Boss thinks he's in on it too.
Boss throws a big celebration for Stonewall Jackson day so that he can steal the General Jackson historic sword and sell it to a big buyer and pin it on the Dukes. The Dukes' cousin Jeb Stuart joins the chase in this episode.

Bo and Luke find stolen diamonds that were dropped out of a hijacked plane and the thief follows the Dukes to the farm claiming to be a reporter. Also, Boss Hogg finds out about the diamonds and tries to get his hands on them by sending a phony FBI agent out to get them.
Boss Hogg is offered top dollar for the Duke farm to a beer distributor and in order to get his hands on it, He has Rosco pretend that he got whiplash while chasing Bo and Luke so he can sue them for the farm.
A pretty drifter named Mindy Lou overhears Boss and Rosco talking about stealing motorcycles, repainting them and selling them for the upcoming Tri-County motor cross. So Boss orders Rosco to arrest her but she gets away and is found by the Dukes - who try to help her. Johnny Paycheck performs at the Boar's Nest.
When Boss fires Clarence Stovall, an old crony of the Dukes one day short of being eligible for his pension, not thinking straight, he steals $30,000 out of Boss Hogg's bank. But the Dukes, knowing that he'll be in big trouble try and find away to put the money back without being spotted.
Boss Hogg is in a jam when a state investigator is coming to Hazzard to inspect the county ledger - since he's been dipping into the public till. But luckily for Boss, it's Sadie Hogg Day - the day that women run Hazzard in different positions - and he fixes it so that Daisy becomes the honorary county treasurer so that he can frame Daisy for embezzlement, so that the missing county funds will be Daisy's problem, not his.
Rosco inherits 10 million dollars and spends it like crazy: on a Rolls Royce patrol car, a new wardrobe and he even speaks his mind freely to Boss. He then hires Jason Steele, a big-time, mean bounty hunter to frame Bo and Luke into prison.
Rosco swindles Boss out of everything he owns but out of the goodness of his heart, lets Boss earn some money by hiring him as his deputy. Meanwhile, Uncle Jesse is in a coma after searching for the varmint Steele, who Bo and Luke are fuming against. Late in the episode, Rosco's attorney returns, announcing that an inaccurate will had been read, and that Rosco inherited just $10 from his uncle. Rosco runs out of excuses when Steele conveniently shows up to demand his $100,000 payoff for framing the Dukes (with a phony General Lee).
A pair of fur thieves comes to Hazzard to sell Boss Hogg their stolen mink coats. But when they lose one of them on the highway, Boss short changes them the price. Determined to get the coats back for his loss, he plans on breaking into the storeroom through a hole in the wall at Cooter's Garage while his girlfriend charms Cooter.
Boss Hogg is very anxious to win the Hazzard County "Drag 'n' Fly" contest. But the only thing standing in his way is the Dukes and the General Lee. So when Luke is slightly injured, he has him hypnotized to get rid of the General Lee no matter who tries to stop him, which works too well.
Boss Hogg is upset when he is told that the state probation supervisor is coming to Hazzard to see how a good a job he's doing. In an attempt to impress him, Boss frames Bo and Luke for passing a bad check. Meanwhile, When Daisy thanked Cletus very closely for letting Bo and Luke off from a ticket - for once, Cletus thinks that Daisy loves him and acts very peculiar and loses his badge over it.
Hughie Hogg sneaks back into Hazzard County and eventually talks Boss into not kicking him out of town - for what he did last year. This time, he plans on taking over Cooter's garage and tearing it down to build the "Hoggominiums" that Boss always wanted.
Boss Hogg is arrested after Rosco thinks that he robbed his bank. Because of old debt owed to Boss, Jesse signs away the Duke farm to go his bail. But Boss just used this to pull a scam, jump bail and swindle the Dukes out of their property.
Boss is excited about the Mickey Gilley charity concert at Hazzard Square. Not because of the music, but because of profit. He is working with record pirates who are making illegal recordings of the concert. However, when confronted by the FBI, they getaway in the General Lee framing Bo and Luke.
Boss Hogg needs Jesse's moonshine recipe to sell to a dealer. But since Jesse isn't just going to tell him, Boss hires a crooked magician to frame Bo and Luke for stealing the orphanage money. He then asks Jesse for his moonshine recipe for the release of Bo and Luke.
Jesse's old crony Hector, who just got out of prison, is after Boss for stealing his land. Meanwhile Rosco and Cletus use phony radar guns, and Bo and Luke accidentally destroy one. So Boss has Bo and Luke framed for destroying county property.
Boss has a scam running through the mail for phony properties. But when an investigator comes to Hazzard, Boss frames Miz Tisdale for mail fraud and the Dukes hide her out at the farm.
Boss has a casino running in Hazzard County while a state gambling investigator is under way. So he frames the Dukes for possession of illegal gambling devices real good. But when he is accidentally injected with truth serum, he runs off at the mouth nothing but the truth - and gets himself into so much trouble.
Rosco loses his diary on the Duke farm which contains all of Boss' schemes he's made and when Jesse is about to deliver it to Boss and Rosco, Two crooks - which Boss Hogg swindled steal it and try and blackmail Boss with it - and Bo and Luke are accused of being a part of their gang.
A gorgeous new deputy comes to Hazzard to escort a prisoner to trial. But getting too suspicious, Bo and Luke investigate her and suspect that she is a phony.
Daisy is offered a job to race on the NASCAR circuit for Molly Hargrove, a retired driver. But she got a loan from Boss Hogg, who hires two crooks to see that she can't pay it and offer part of Daisy's contract to him. Also Molly didn't tell them that she was thrown off the circuit for reckless driving.
A group of armed robbers take over the Boar's Nest with the Dukes, police and Boss Hogg hostage, so that they can evacuate the town by pulling off a false evacuation notice, and rob an armored truck when it arrives. So the Dukes try and think of a plan to stop them before it's too late.
The annual Tri-County beauty and talent contest is underway. It consists of beauty, racing, and mechanical ability. Daisy's opponent happens to be Melanie Dubois, the girlfriend of the Boss of Chickasaw County, who pays Boss $10,000 to make sure that Melanie wins but that doesn't stop the Dukes.
Bo and Luke find a bag full of stolen credit cards that two thieves stashed. When Boss gets his hands on it, he plans on selling them and framing the Dukes for it. Meanwhile, Lulu, in the Hazzard's Equal Rights Society, tries to take over half of Boss' businesses and ends up selling Rosco's car to Sheriff Little - containing the stolen credit cards.
Rosco and Cletus go on strike when Boss refuses a raise and overtime payments. And Boss hires some crooks to rob the TV stores and frames Bo and Luke for it. He then tricks Jesse into being the temporary sheriff to arrest Bo and Luke.
A prison car that is escorting two escaped convicts has an accident and they escape. They go to the Duke farm and take the Dukes hostage, along with their mortgage money, which causes Boss and Rosco to come to the farm and foreclose, and get caught up in it.
Bo and Luke have left Hazzard to full fill a life long dream of racing on the NASCAR Circuit. Boss is so happy about it, that he unleashes his ultimate secret weapon: The mean green machine, monstrous vehicle to rip off the bank in Capitol City, and plan to steal $100 engraving plates from an armored truck that's suppose to pass through Hazzard county. But he's unaware that cousins Coy and Vance Duke have returned to Hazzard after 6 years to help uncle Jesse run the farm and are on to his shenanigans, and driving around in the General Lee. Also, Enos returned to Hazzard and is back on the force.
Boss Hogg swindles newlyweds Jeb and Carrie Morton into buying a worthless piece of land next to the Duke Farm. So the Dukes try and help them by scamming Boss by making it look like they've found gold on their property and the Morton's property and struck it rich so that Boss will buy back the land.
Boss hired two crooks to rob the jewelry store and Coy and Vance are very suspicious about them and go and investigate while being chased by Cletus and Enos. But when Boss sends Rosco to arrest Coy and Vance, he refuses because he wants to be good so that he will be elected "Lawman of the Year".
While delivering a shipment of antiques to some friends, Coy and Vance are hijacked by a couple of Boss' henchmen. But they didn't known that a runaway orphan was stowaway in the back of the truck and saw the whole thing. She ends up going back to the farm and has crush on Coy, which slows down the Dukes looking for the hijackers.
Boss double-crosses the Bosses of a few neighboring counties and their out to get him. The Dukes let him hold up on the farm until Vance plans to expose them by tape-recording their scheme. Mel Tillis performs at the Boar's Nest.
Boss frames Coy and Vance by putting a hot license plate on the General Lee. But Boss calls off the chase when he is told that his daddy is coming to Hazzard who is supposedly a Good Samaritan - but his driver robs them.
Vance's old girlfriend comes to Hazzard to see him but is chased by crooked politician's associates who are trying to kill her after she witnessed the Senator's embezzling. . But The Duke try and convince her to go report it to Senate Crime Commission.
Boss opens up an illegal horse-betting saloon in Rapahoe County and uses the Dukes' phone line to frame them. But the Boss of Rapahoe County is not happy being cheated out of her county's money.
A pair of crooks is after Enos' footlocker that he and the Dukes picked up at the bus depot from California that contains a handful of emeralds - unbeknownst to Enos.
Boss Hogg's phony insurance policies are thrown right back at him when con artists Ward and Lavinia pull a phony car accident at Bottomless Lake. But to make matters worse, Coy is afraid of driving since he was sideswiped during the accident and he believes he killed Ward.
Boss Hogg is trying to get his hands on the General Lee to sell to two crooks that need it. But when they try and steal it, they get caught. So Boss challenges Jesse to a game of pool - Ridge runner style - and wagers the General Lee. Even though Jesse's a better pool player, Boss has some dirty tricks up his sleeve.
Boss has Coy, Vance and Daisy framed and sends them to Chickasaw County where they are arrested by Sheriff Little so that he can go ahead with his master plan and hires two crooks to scuba-dive down to Soggy Marsh and unburry 5 million in stolen bonds.
When Rosco is up for re-election, Boss has no trouble supporting him until his devious nephew Hughie Hogg returns to run for sheriff and blackmails his uncle into helping him by showing evidence of a crooked deal he made.
Boss tries to use the mean green machine again but it gets stolen by the original crook who try and rob the Hazzard Emporium for all the gold. But when it breaks down, they kidnap Cooter to fix it and hold for insurance.
A mobster named Calloway is out to exact revenge on "the fat water buffalo" (Boss), for sending him to prison on his testimony. To thwart Calloway's plans to have Boss killed, the Dukes and Lulu announce that Boss has died and stage a phony funeral so that Calloway will back off. But then Calloway arrives at Boss' "funeral" to make sure his old enemy really is dead, forcing the Dukes to come up with another plan to foil the mobster's plans.
Coy falls for a shady motorcycle stunt driving woman who turns out to be one of the crooked cops hijackers that has been robbing people. When Vance finds this out, a fight between Coy and Vance has Coy leaving the farm.
The Russians' gymnast team comes to Hazzard and a defector named Natasha escapes and hides out at the Duke farm while Boss helps the Russian gymnast leader find her.
Uncle Jesse is blinded while trying to foil a robbery. But the robbers won't rest until Jesse's dead. So they go to Hazzard to track him down while Coy, Vance and Daisy decide to hide their sitting duck uncle at Boss' house.
Bo and Luke return to Hazzard after great season at the NASCAR Circuit and they won but they wanted to come home - which is ok since Coy and Vance have to leave Hazzard to take care of a sick relative. Meanwhile, Boss plans to foreclose on Cooter's garage - after Cooter owes a balloon mortgage payment - so he can put up a new shopping center.
Bo and Luke become big brothers to a young boy who steals the General Lee, hubcaps, etc. But Bo and Luke try and point him in the right direction. Meanwhile, Boss hasn't been eating lately because he hasn't found a crooked deal in quite some time.
Boss Hogg forecloses on the Duke farm and a bunch of other farms to sell the land to a big developer named L.S. Pritchard. But what he don't know is that she plans on using Hazzard to strip-mine coal.
Bo and Luke have been very over-protective towards Daisy ever since they've gotten back. So Daisy decides to move out for a while. But on the way, she is kidnapped by the son of a dirty moonshine dealer of Boss' and taken back to their place in the hills for a shotgun wedding.
After a confrontation between Lulu and Boss, Lulu moves out and is invited to stay on the Duke Farm. Later three crooks kidnap her and demand a ransom.
The Dukes have a new visitor, A baby whom her mother hides in the General Lee while she is being pursued by he father-in-law's henchmen who are trying to get the baby back to her legal guardian - paternal grandfather - who hates "country bumpkins." Meanwhile, due to a cut in the county budget, Rosco and Enos have to ride around on horses.
When Rosco chases the Dukes, he drives into a pond and then is kidnapped by a man who underwent plastic surgery to look just like him (also played by James Best). But when the townsfolk all think Rosco is dead, the ringer shows up in town to be there when the armored truck arrives - and rob it.
Luke's brother, who he thought was dead all these years, comes to Hazzard to see his family. He was a boxer who is being chased by crooked gamblers who bet everything the owned against him in a fight that he won in the first round. Now they want to kill him.
When Bo and Luke are late for a probation appointment, Boss tells them that he'll let them off the hook if they coach his pee wee basketball game and win against an undefeated team which Boss bet on. But the star player is debating on whether or not to play.
The Beaudrys (from "Daisy's Shotgun Wedding" (522)) return to Hazzard to swipe Boss Hogg's still since their's blew up. But to get Boss out of the way, they frame him of sabotaging Jesse's car in the old timer's race when his car flips over. Rosco throws Boss in the slammer while the Beaudreys steal Boss' still.
Bo and Luke help an orphan boy who just recently lost his parents by getting him a dog from the pound. It turns out to be a basset hound that was kidnapped from John J. Hooper's dog show for a ransom and got away when the kidnappers came to Hazzard. But the kidnappers mistake Flash for the other dog.
When Daisy and Lulu get back from a trip they took to New Orleans, they pick up the wrong suitcase at the airport that has a stolen diamond necklace in it. But the thieves follow them back to Hazzard and threaten to kill them unless they give them back the necklace.
After getting back from a Marine Corp. reunion, Luke chases a beautiful woman who robbed a jewelery store in Capitol City. But his identical twin sister is with Bo on the road for an alibi which causes a rift between Bo and Luke.
An escape convict, whom Enos testified against, is out to get Enos, but he keeps wearing different disguises and they can't tell it's him.
Daisy fills in for Hazzard's crop-duster when he is injured and crop-dusts certain fields. But Boss Hogg has two crooks mix lye in the mixer that ruins his crops so he can sue for the damages.
A young woman comes to Hazzard to see Cooter, who happens to be his daughter that he's never met. But she thinks Cooter is very rambunctious who is working with the Dukes to stop new landowners from dumping toxic-wastes in Hazzard.
An investigator comes to Hazzard tracking down a photo of Daisy Duke thinking that she's the long-lost granddaughter of millionaire Carter Stewart - who is offering a big reward for anyone who finds her. So Boss has Daisy hypnotized into thinking she is the granddaughter, but other heirs don't want her to return and are trying to kill her.
Bo and Luke chase armored truck robbers through Chickasaw. But Sheriff Little mistakes the Dukes for the robbers and the only eyewitness who can vouch for them is Artie Bender - the local artist who Boss just declared legally dead so he can sell his paintings to pay off his bills.
Country star Candy Dix, Luke's old girlfriend from the Marines, comes to Hazzard to do a concert and to see Luke. But he must save her from her managers who are trying to kill her to pay off a gambling debt with her life-insurance policy.
Bo and Luke are offered to race on the circuit again for the daughter of a racketeer J.J. Carver. But since they vowed not to go back they turn him down, until a Federal Agent offers them to work undercover to get enough evidence to put Carver away for a long time.
Bo and Luke uncover the evidence for Carver's conspiracy plan but they get their cover blown - thanks to Boss and Rosco, who think that Bo and Luke are making gambling deals.
Boss' devious nephew Dewey - who is Hughie's brother - comes back to Hazzard after many years, pretending to be dying and tries to cheat the townsfolk out of $100,000 and frame Jesse for it.
Nervous Norman, a neurotic crime boss comes to Hazzard County and loses his little black book, accidentally picked up by Daisy, containing all his crooked deals. so Norman is after Daisy - who decides to hide out at Enos' place.
Fed up with the honest deputy Enos ruining Boss and Rosco's schemes, they promote him to a civilian job and replaced him with a crooked deputy who plans on Flooding Hazzard County by opening up the Hazzard dam unless Boss gives him all the county funds.
Boss Hogg is in a stew when he learns that Lulu is going to cash in bonds that Boss had already cashed in on and replaced with fake bonds. So Boss must get rid of them somehow but Lulu changed the combination of her safe. So Boss hires a pair of fortuneteller con artists - who just framed Daisy for stealing the Boar's Nest receipts - to get the combination of the safe from Lulu and get rid of the fake bonds.
When Jonas Jones, a good friend of Cooter's, is framed for hijacking, Cooter takes the rap for him but the Dukes dig into this and track down Jonas to find the real hijackers.
It's been 8 years since the Dukes got the General Lee and we see the story of how they got it. When it was originally used as a getaway car for some gold dust thieves and Bo and Luke got it from a junkyard because they needed a car to race in.
The Dukes' old friend Waylon Jennings comes to Hazzard with his mobile museum to use as a charity exhibit. But Boss hires two crooks to steal it and sell it back for a ransom.
Luke drinks some pond water that a truck accidentally spilled some genetic drugs into. This makes Luke character change a great deal. He becomes a total jerk, badmouths Bo, Daisy, and Jesse, harasses every girl at the Boar's Nest and eventually plans to rob Boss' bank.
A couple of thieves bring an advanced robot - that they stole for a ransom - through Hazzard County and Boss decides to buy it off them, fires Rosco, and make it the new sheriff: Robot P. Coltrane.
Boss swindles the Dukes into thinking they won a bunch of prizes at the Capitol City Department Store. All the prizes turn out to be stolen. However, Boss Hogg gets a bump on the head, later on, gets amnesia and becomes a nice gentleman - temporarily.
While a Hollywood production company is shooting a movie in Hazzard, the star almost has a car accident and the Dukes save him, and when the producers see how they saved him, they offer the Dukes a part in the movie and get to go to Hollywood for a while - but Boss and Rosco must go with them.
While driving through Osage, the most feared county around ruled by the mean Colonel Claiborne, Bo and Luke end up on a chain gang in the Osage Road Prison - which is the first step of Claiborne's plan to get Boss down there to swindle him out of everything he owns.
Boss Hogg finds a piece of paper from his great grandfather Thaddeus that Jesse's great grandfather Jeremiah signed over the Duke farm. Confused as ever, The Dukes find their great grandma's diary and they tell the story about the events leading up to it from the 1800's.
Cale Yarborough comes to Hazzard to see a sick boy in the hospital who is about to go in for surgery. But he and the Dukes ends up getting mixed up with bank robbers.
Boss Hogg masterminds a plan to knock a boxcar off a train containing valuables by hiring three crooks to hook a remote control up to a car to knock off the boxcar. But when the car they use is wrecked, they steal the General Lee to use it for the remote control.
Escape convicts come to Hazzard. One of them is out to settle a score with Luke because he sent him to prison in the Marines. Sheriff Little was put in charge of the investigation and the convicts force the Dukes to let them escape and end up driving the General Lee through a forest fire.
When a group of armored car robbers steals the armored car by lifting off the ground with a helicopter, the Dukes are blamed for the crime. But when Bo and Luke are apprehended, they strike again. Knowing that they're innocent, Boss and Rosco let the Duke boys escape so that they can do Rosco's dirty work and catch the robbers.
Boss' great uncle Silas Hogg had recently died and left in him a bunch of money in his will to give to charity at his discretion. Knowing that Boss won't give the money to charity, The Dukes set up some gadgets and make it look like Silus is haunting him into giving the money to charity.
Hughie Hogg returns to Hazzard with his ultimate plan to cheat Boss out of everything he owns by making him think there's a genie in a magic lamp that will give him all sorts of wishes.
With a lot of UFO sightings in Hazzard, Bo and Luke are starting to think that people are crazy until an alien from outer space hides in the General Lee and comes back to the Duke farm with them. However, when Boss finds out about this, he wants to take it and sell it.
A pair of crooks robs Boss' bank and frame Enos for it; Daisy becomes a witness against him when she thinks she saw it. Daisy, knowing that Enos would never do it, cannot refuse to testify against him or she'll be in contempt. So she decides to marry Enos - that way she cannot legally testify against him.
Boss and Lulu put on a talent show at the Boar's Nest. And when Rosco uses his magic act to make Boss disappear, he does when two parolees come to Hazzard who is out to kill Boss - who put them away. But instead they hold him for a ransom.
