In this episode, Lisa wants to win first place at a competition but the jumps are to high for her. When she first practices Prancer refuses to jump it and Lisa goes flying over the jump and she goes into a coma. Melanie teaches Camanche to take things of the top of his stall and Deborah asks her to give Mrs. Reg the wedding rings and when Camanche knocks it off the stall door Meliane thinks he ate them. Since Lisa is in a coma, Max and Deborah decide to postpone their wedding. Despite Carole and Stevie's attempt to wake Lisa up, it fails.
When Veronica's horse, Garnet, is kidnapped, The Saddle Club sets out to solve the mystery. Meanwhile, Murray is driving Carole mad, both at home and at Pine Hollow. When Carole finds out that Murray might be involved in Garnet's kidnapping, she sets out to find out the real truth. Dorothée is invited by the French Olympic Panel to trial for selection for the Olympic Training Squad, but if she passes, it means leaving Pine Hollow and Red.
The Saddle Club befriend Raffael and his mother, both itinerant workers, who arrive at Willow Creek with Raffael's beautiful horse, Diablo. Then Raffael is accused of horse-theft by a local farmer. Melanie and Ashley set up a Pine Hollow news sheet complete with gossip column. Lisa begins to like Raffael. Diablo comes up missing and the girls, Phil, and Raffael set out to find him.
The Saddle Club help Raffael rescue his horse, but he is forced to offer Diablo for sale when his family's life savings are stolen. Mrs. Atwood buys Diablo for Lisa so Raffael will leave. Lisa is especially saddened by Raffael's departure. Lisa does the right thing and sets Diablo free to roam in the wild.
Peeved that Lisa won the captaincy of the Navigation Riding Team to take on Cross County, Veronica sets out to prove Phil is poisoning their horses so his club will have the advantage. When Lisa and Veronica find the cause of their horses' illness, it is a race to prevent the town's drinking water from being affected by poison. Stevie tries for her C-level Equestrian Certificate.
Stevie's judgment is clouded by her attempts to camouflage a pimple, and then she doesn't wear a helmet when riding out in the field on Belle. She then falls off and gets a bump on her head. Meanwhile, Veronica arranges to have a potential Olympic champion take her place so Kristi's team will win the prize of having their photograph in a prominent equestrian magazine. During the competition, Lisa and Carole find out why Stevie has been acting weird in the saddle and when waiting to ride in the competition.
When visually impaired students visit Pine Hollow, The Saddle Club helps a young blind girl named Jenna conquer her fear of horses, and in the process prove to her overly protective mother that she can live an independent life. Red's cousin, Liam, falls for Jenna, but gets tongue-tied whenever she comes near.
Carole, Stevie, and Lisa are worried when Belle comes down with a mysterious illness that even the new young vet can't diagnose. Red is left to manage Pine Hollow on his own. With everyone busy, Melanie and Ashley set out to ride an uncontrollable horse named Angel who seems to have a problem of running off with her rider.Then they get stranded in the middle of nowhere when they fall off Angel. The new vet saves Belle's life when he removes the painted wood from her leg.
The Saddle Club befriend a young painter who turns out to be Kristi's long lost big sister, Chelsea. Melanie is upset by Lisa and doesn't want to be her sister any more. Veronica is jealous because she doesn't want to share Kristi with Chelsea. Meanwhile, Kristi and Veronica have the opinion that Chelsea is out to get everyone because she wants to know their star signs and their birthdays.
Carole assists a famous trainer with Mr. diAngelo's promising young racehorse, Windsong. With her father's new investment in Pine Hollow, Veronica lords her newfound status over the other kids at Pine Hollow as Executive Student President. She instantly takes advantage and reassigns the horse assignments and insults Red, who rethinks his future at Pine Hollow.
When Veronica is forced to work under the supervision of Stevie at the stables to pay for Garnet's board, she decides to sell Garnet. Once the sale is made, Veronica bitterly regrets this decision and The Saddle Club feel sorry for her. They convince Garnet's new owner to sell her back to Veronica. Veronica is relieved that Garnet is back.
The District Interclub Competition is about to take place at Pine Hollow. Stevie is dared by the boys to rough ride. They are so impressed at her zip, they invite her to be the third rider on their team in the Willow Creek Time Trial. Unfortunately, this clashes with the Saddle Club’s Musical Formation event.
When Stevie gets injured, Carole and Lisa offer to stop riding, out of solidarity. Stevie thinks this is a silly idea, but Veronica realises she can work the angle when she sees a magnificent racehorse brought to Pine Hollow. The horse is called Danville Dutchess, but Veronica knows she is really Temptation.
As Lisa continues to improve her jumping skills, giving Carole and Veronica a serious run for top spot, Prancer’s old leg injury flares up. Now Lisa must face a difficult decision – say goodbye to her steady reliable old horse in favour of a newer more athletic one, or settle for always being in third place.
Devastated after failing his Bernouli Training School audition, Jack tries to resign from Pine Hollow. Wanting him to stay, the Saddle Club convince Max to let Jack work in the office and try to reignite Jack's love of horses. Meanwhile Veronica gets Bernouli to give Jack another chance with a new wild horse, Striker.
