Best friends CeCe and Rocky audition for the show, "Shake it Up Chicago". Unfortunately, CeCe did not get it because she froze in the middle of her audition (she usually pictures everyone else naked that is why she is never nervous). Rocky did well and got in. Rocky did not want to go to the show because CeCe was not on it. CeCe forces Rocky to go to the show. On Rocky's first show, she brought CeCe and handcuffed each other, and they ended up dancing together. The host thought that they have the "it" factor so, CeCe got in as well. In the end, the girls get $40 each but only $2 was left for them because they had to pay for new handcuffs, thrift store dance clothes, and transportation.
CeCe and Rocky get their second paycheck from "Shake It Up, Chicago!" and open up a checking accounts at Chicago Savings Bank. They decide to go shopping at a thfift store with their new debit cards. Seeing that they were selfish with their money, they decide to treat Ty and Deuce to lunch at the Olive Pit. However, they aren't able to pay because their checking accounts are overdrawn. In order to get their meals for free, the girls participate in the restaurant's challenge of eating a 10-pound meatball over a heaping plate of spaghetti. It is also revealed that Rocky is a vegetarian. Meanwhile, Gunther and Tinka babysit Flynn.
CeCe and Rocky go to entertain the elderly at a retirement home, but one of them dislikes Rocky. Rocky tries to get the lady to be nice to her, but it doesn't work. CeCe tries to convince Rocky to ingest energy drinks that have more caffeine than three cups of coffee, but CeCe doesn't care. Flynn drinks them instead and the girls get tired of trying to calm him down all night. The girls also get light-up clothing from Deuce, who wants them to advertise the clothing. CeCe and Rocky then dance on the show, but when Ty gets a mistake of paying on twenty bucks to donate, he tries to stop them from dancing. The girls are then in the final battle against Gunther and Tinka, but the twins fall down as the light-up clothing repeatedly shocks the girls. Gary then announces that CeCe and Rocky are the last one standing, but they fall asleep as soon as Gary says they have a spotlight dance.
CeCe finds herself in trouble when she learns that she is failing algebra class. So, Deuce hires a tutor for her. When the tutor shows up at CeCe's house, CeCe finds out that the tutor is a small fry genius in college. Flynn then breaks CeCe's tutor when Henry (the tutor) is playing video games with Flynn. Henry then reveals a secret Rocky never knew about CeCe, CeCe is dyslexic. Meanwhile, Ty goes on a date with Tinka and Gunther bets Deuce his various objects playing arm wrestling.
Cece and Rocky join karate class. Meanwhile, Ty notices he could be getting fat. He decides to go on a special diet but he just keeps getting fatter.
When Rocky and CeCe get to dance with teen sensation Justin Starr, CeCe accidentally texts a photo of him kissing his manager to everyone on her contacts list that could ruin his career. Meanwhile, Ty tries to make Gunther more "hip".
When CeCe and Rocky are invited by Gary to a party, they are embarrassed to learn they were invited as waitresses.
CeCe and Rocky invite their friend Deuce to videotape them for a school project and he overhears Gary Wilde deciding whether or not to fire two dancers. Fearing that it could be CeCe and Rocky, he shows them the footage and the two set out to prove to Gary Wilde that they should get as much recognition as the dancers who have been on the show before. Little that they know that they weren't the last ones hired and that Gary wasn't planning to take them off the show. Meanwhile, Ty teaches Flynn how to do some dance steps to impress an older girl.
Rocky tries to change her image when she reads a blog about how she is a goody-two-shoes. However, Rocky ends up in the Vice Principal’s office (played by Cat Deeley) after she goes a bit too far trying to change her image. Also during the episode Deuce and Flynn try to catch a mouse that is loose in CeCe’s apartment.
CeCe tries to play matchmaker for Deuce, but her plan backfires when he gets back together with his up to no good girlfriend, Savannah. Cece, Rocky and Ty scheme up a plan to prove to Deuce that Savannah's only attracted to his money, in order to set him up with Dina, who they feel he is more compatible with. Meanwhile, Flynn helps Henry earn a Coyote Scout camping badge.
Rocky is determined to beat perennial champions Randy and Candy at the talent show after Candy wins every single award while Rocky comes in second place. Upon realizing that they will lose against Candy and her fellow cheerleaders, they enlist Gunter and Tinka to dance with them in the show but Candy and Randy recruit them for their team soon after. Cece does not give up and brings in her secret weapon Ty. Meanwhile, Flynn helps Deuce prepare to MC the show.
When the heat goes out in Rocky’s apartment, CeCe invites Rocky, Ty, and their mother to move in with them. However, the mothers' disagreements start to affect and ruin CeCe and Rocky's friendship. At the science fair the next day, CeCe and Rocky argue at school and ruin each others project on accident. When CeCe gets home she talks to her mom and both decide to cancel to trip. Unfortunately, Flynn overhears the conversation and storms out upset. Not realizing how much the trip meant to Flynn, CeCe's mom makes up with Rocky's mom and CeCe makes up with Rocky. Meanwhile, Ty builds himself a man cave to get away from the women of the house.
Rocky and CeCe choreograph and mentor young contestants. Meanwhile, Deuce tries to win over Dina's father.
CeCe and Rocky host a video webcast offering advice to teens. Meanwhile, Ty, Flynn and Deuce host their own internet show called "Zombie Talk".
CeCe and Rocky get the chance to dance with Ronnie and Angie, two of the original dancers of Shake It Up, Chicago. However, when they see that the women are no longer friends, Cece and Rocky fear that they will feel the same way later in their lives. Meanwhile, Deuce accidentally kills Flynn's Goldfish, Mr. Goldenburg, and plans a proper funeral for Mr. Goldenburg.
CeCe fakes a leg injury in order to avoid participating in gym class. Rocky lies and says that she is having both her appendix removed to avoid laser tag with the nerds. When the two are caught dancing salsa on Shake It Up, Chicago, CeCe is told by Coach Lessor that she has to attend summer school, and Rocky is unaccepted from the nerds' social group. However, when CeCe's mother comes for a private conference with the coach and CeCe, they both express interest in each other and start dating. CeCe takes this as a sign that she won't have to participate in gym class anymore, until her mom and Coach Lessor break up too soon, and she is forced off the bench to be physically tested. Meanwhile, the boys take care of a neighbor's dog, but the dog proves to be difficult.
Gunther and Tinka want CeCe and Rocky to come visit their home and celebrate Vatalihoosit Day with them. Things don't really go well with the parents and they try to get Ty and Flynn for help. In the end, CeCe and Rocky wants to stay but Vatalihoosit Day was over and Gunther and Tinka kicked them out. Meanwhile, Ty auditioned for a juice commercial, but is unhappy when he didn't get the audition. Instead, the producer asks Flynn to shoot the commercial, but he later finds out its a commercial for "Action Pants" instead of a juice box commercial.
Rocky and Cece get a chance at a modeling career but the people only like Rocky. So she gets a chance to be a model for Glam Magazine, but it's in New York. Rocky is hesitant to go, but her friends all encourage her to go, saying that it is a big chance for her. She decides not to go when she overhears her friends say they truly care about her. Meanwhile, the boys have to do chores for Mrs. Locassio because Deuce and Ty broke Flynn's video game console and they have to get money to get him a new one.
CeCe and Rocky start a new dance craze. Mrs. Garcia wants to throw a huge party for Dina's birthday, but Dina wants a simple, small party, so CeCe and Rocky take over organizing Dina's party. However, they throw an over the top party which Dina didn't want, and have to fix it. Meanwhile, Flynn gets a new robot that destroys things with its laser eyes, and he gets his friend Henry to help him. Deuce tries to impress Mrs. Garcia by learning dancing from Ty.
CeCe, Rocky, Flynn, Ty, Deuce, Gunther and Tinka all go on a vacation together. When they play Truth or Dare, CeCe dares Rocky to jump in the lake. Rocky does the dare, but ends up landing on a broken bottle, thereby cutting her foot. She is taken to the hospital and Rocky fears that they can't fix her foot, and that she will never be able to dance again.
Rocky and CeCe finally get their dream come true of getting the Shake It Up Spotlight Dance. But their dreams become a nightmare when Gary gets the flu and can't host the show. Rocky and CeCe must find a way to host the show for Gary and still get their Spotlight Dance. They get a dance crew to perform, but end up getting sick right when their spotlight dance begins, so Tinka does the dance instead.
CeCe and Rocky go to a therapist to get advice on their expiring friendship. things quickly spiral out of control which leads to a flash back. Flynn and Ty agree to take a Toy testing job. Also Gunther and Tinka try their hand at a being nice, starting with Deuce.
A cute local dancer named Julio comes to perform on Shake It Up, Chicago!, and Rocky, CeCe and Tinka all fall for him. He asks each girl individually to hang out, so they all show up at Crusty's Pizza Parlor the next day, believing they each have a date with him. Meanwhile, Henry becomes the substitute teacher in Flynn's class. Flynn has to decide to either give him a hard time as a sub or be nice because they are friends. Also, Dina starts taking Deuce's customers away and offering them better deals.
CeCe and Rocky plan to go to Alabama with the rest of the show, but CeCe tricks Rocky into getting on a bus to Los Angeles in order to audition for a reality show, and they get stuck at a bus station in a small Texas town. After the mayor sees the girls dance at a Town Hall party, he asks if they want to dance for the town's air-show. However, they find out they will be dancing on the wing of a World War I plane while in the air. Flynn stows away in CeCe's suitcase on the trip and Deuce and Ty compete for a job at Deuce's uncle's pizza place.
At a Halloween party at the Shake It Up Chicago studio, Rocky meets a cute guy and tells Cece to go say hi to his brother who is wearing a hunchback coustume. Cece says he looks weird, but complies. Rocky later tells her that they are going to meet both boys at Crusty's the next day. Both girls find out the next day that Rocky's date is the weird one and CeCe's date is the cute one. Rocky refuses to admit this, and she suffers through 3 hours with her date. Meanwhile, Flynn suspects that his new neighbor, Zane, is an alien from Jupiter after he and Henry observe strange lights from his room and other of Zane's strange mannerisms.
Rocky's dad, Dr. Curtis Blue returns from his trip overseas and is unhappy to find out that Rocky is dancing on "Shake It Up, Chicago." CeCe and Rocky must figure out a way to convince him that she should remain on the show. Meanwhile, Ty reveals that he'd like to pursue a profession in rapping, and Deuce and Flynn get caught up in a fortune-telling machine.
A reporter gives Shake It Up, Chicago a bad review in a popular online blog, and CeCe & Rocky are determined to convince him he was wrong.
CeCe finds out Deuce has been delivering pizza to her idol, a choreographer who came up with an amazing move a few years back, the "Double Pegasus".
CeCe and Rocky organize a fund-raiser to help save their former dance teacher's studio. Meanwhile, Deuce and Ty enter a competition to win a new phone.
In order to earn money for a week dance camp, Rocky and CeCe decide to host their very own dance camp for little kids in CeCe's apartment.
CeCe does some last minute shopping for her mom, but she buys herself an expensive purse instead. When CeCe doesn't have enough money for her mom's scarf, she gets some jobs at the mall to earn some extra cash. Meanwhile, Rocky tries to make a young boy's Christmas wish come true by trying to find the latest gift, the "GS Handheld Megagame 195", but they are all sold out. Rocky then goes to Crusty's to find Deuce, who has the gift, and threatens him so she could have it.
Rocky and CeCe audition for a highly exclusive dance academy. Meanwhile, Flynn and Henry believe that a meteor is headed towards Earth, so they start checking things off their bucket lists before the end of the world.
Gary Wilde chooses two dancers to be on a guest spot on Good Morning Chicago – CeCe and Gunther! Rocky tries hard not to be jealous, but finds it very difficult. Tinka, on the other hand, plots to get CeCe out of the show.
When an uber fan named Kat starts to copy Cece’s appearance and secretly plots to take her place on "Shake It Up, Chicago," Cece and Rocky must find a way to show Kat’s true colors. Before they perform, Kat texted Cece (pretended to be Rocky) and said to go get your costume across town. When she comes back, Kat and Rocky are performing and she wrecks Kat's and Rocky's performance. To get payback, Cece poses as Shake It Up! New York and over email, she tells Kat that she is going to Shake It Up! New York, which was fake. Meanwhile, Flynn acts as Ty's recording agent when dealing with a big time record producer. Ty figures it's for stupid people who can't tie their shoes and quits, so Flynn takes over and becomes a hit, and Ty regrets quitting.
When Rocky and Cece are paired up in a school science project, Rocky gets nervous that Cece's lack of enthusiasm will drag down her grade, so she goes behind her back to find a new partner. Meanwhile, Gunther takes over for Ty as Flynn's babysitter.
When Gunther and Tinka refuse to pay Rocky and CeCe their money for performing at Klaus's party, the girls take their case to "Teen Court". Gunther and Tinka believe Rocky and CeCe didn't perform as well as they should and claim that they're the ones that ruined Klaus's party. Gunther and Tinka also claim that they ate all the cake and yelled at Klaus. Rocky and CeCe however think Gunther and Tinka ruined the party because they believe its their fault for being so harsh on Klaus. Rocky and CeCe also claim that Tinka smashed the cake in Klaus's face. As soon as Judge Marsha was about to close the case, Deuce comes running in with a surveillance video from Crusty's. The video showed that it was actually all of them who ruined Klaus's party, after smacking his birthday cake out of his hand by an accident. Later, Gunther and Tinka paid back the money to Rocky and CeCe, as they promised, but with a slight catch. Just like the time that they paid Rocky and CeCe back with sequence, this time, they paid them back with pennies. Meanwhile, Henry wants to teach Flynn how to ride a bike after finding out that he doesn't know how to ride one. Flynn is reluctant at first, but then, he sees how useful it is, and he wants to ride a bike. Then, Flynn finds out that Henry tricked him into thinking that he rode the bike all along, but Henry actually rigged the bike so Flynn wouldn't fall off of it.
When Rocky is convinced that CeCe's dad is trying to "woo" CeCe's mom, she tries to plan their relationship relating to her book. CeCe doesn't believe it at first, but when she picks up her dad's coat, she finds a ring, leading both the girls to thinking he is going to propose to CeCe's mom. With the help of school librarian Miss Burke, they come up with a plan to go to the "Shake It Up, Chicago!" set and remake CeCe's parents's first date with a "Bollywood" theme. After the dance, the girls find out that CeCe's dad isn't proposing to her mom, but instead to her dad's girlfriend, who lives back in Florida. Later Rocky feels a little guilty for not knowing about Cece's Dad's girlfriend and apologizes to CeCe.
Cece hires an agent who boosts the girls' fame. This fame goes to CeCe's head, causing trouble.
A phantom threatens to shut down "Shake It Up Chicago". Deuce helps Ty identify his secret admirer.
Rocky, Cece, & Tinka try to be in two places at once when Shake It Up is rescheduled to the night of their spring formal. Deuce ends up being the photographer at the formal when the real one doesn't show.
Rocky and CeCe try to overturn a school ruling that requires students to wear uniforms. Meanwhile, Gunther and Tinka take up new hobbies since they no longer have to be concerned about school clothes.
When CeCe's mom gets a side job working security on a movie, Rocky, CeCe and Flynn devise a plan to sneak onto the set to see the stars. Meanwhile, Ty helps Deuce win back Dina.
CeCe and Rocky throw a viewing party to watch "Shake It Up, Chicago's" feature story on a national TV show, but are shocked when the show makes ridiculous claims that CeCe has a crush on Gunther and Rocky is a major diva.
Gary's grandma visits SIU Chicago and reveals that she was on one of the first teen dance shows. The gang act out her memory of Shake It Up, Chicago, with CeCe as Grandma Wilde and Rocky as Wilde's best friend.
Rocky and CeCe are excited to go to Major Dance Boot Camp for their summer vacation, until they realize it’s not exactly what they signed up for.
CeCe and Rocky have a sleepover with Dina and Tinka and give Dina a makeover. Meanwhile, the guys search for buried treasure, and end up overhearing the girl's sleepover.
CeCe is invited to a funeral which she thinks is her surprise birthday party. The gang meets Deuce's identical cousin, Harrison, and Rocky falls for him.
Rocky consoles CeCe when she has an embarrassing moment caught on camera during the show. The roles are soon reversed when Rocky has her own embarrassing moment during a news interview.
In the season finale,Rocky and CeCe win a trip to Japan to be in a dance video game and the Blue Man Group performs in an event that’s infused with Tokyo teen fashion and “J-Pop” music.
A fire starts on Shake It Up Chicago! And Cece believes she may have caused it.
CeCe realizes she is too focused on dancing after hearing an inspiring speech at a bar mitzvah. Deuce draws a mustache on Ty’s face with a permanent marker.
Now with Rocky in a funk without Shake It Up, Chicago!, CeCe tries helping her out. When they are out of choices, they witness how horrible and emotionless the spirit squad is, so they decide to join. Later on, the squad promotes Cece as president and they want her to kick Rocky out when they realize how bossy and demanding she is. Meanwhile, Deuce feels bad for Tinka since Gunther left. He persuades Dina into letting her hang out with them. However, Deuce gets annoyed when Dina and Tinka spend every minute together and he feels like the third wheel. Elsewhere, Flynn is offended when is known for having a bad friend reputation.
Rocky volunteers at the hospital and ends up in quarantine. CeCe goes on a "blind" date. Deuce is annoyed by Dina invading his locker.
CeCe is taken on a dream journey to the past, present and future by the Ghost of Christmas Dance.
Rocky and CeCe get hired at Bob's Kabob's, where CeCe loses her job after she butts heads with the strict manager, Logan. Meanwhile, Georgia plans Jeremy's birthday dinner and he is bringing over his son "Little Scooter" for the very first time, who is revealed to be Logan. Tinka and Flynn work on a special cake for Jeremy. Jeremy proposes to Georgia during dinner. Georgia says yes and are offically engaged.
The Shake It Up Chicago set is rebuilt and a new executive producer takes over which means Rocky and Cece have to audition again.

Gary Wilde returns to announce he is hosting a new dance show - "Dance Factor" - and he wants CeCe, Rocky and Tinka to join the program. Meanwhile, Deuce and Flynn panic after learning their favorite snack has been discontinued.
Rocky and CeCe decide they're too old to trick-or-treat and elect to have a "Mature-o'ween" with more adult activities, such as knitting and watching tear-jerking movies. They soon realize they're just missing out on fun and candy, and scramble to salvage what's left of their Halloween. Meanwhile, tired of being treated like a little kid, Flynn challenges Ty and Deuce to a scare off in an old abandoned house believed to be haunted by a young spirit.
In the series finale, "Shake It Up Chicago" hosts a charity fashion show with Rocky, Tinka and CeCe as its star models, however the girls' runway dreams are cut short when a fashion mishap leaves CeCe with amnesia. While Georgia and Flynn try to follow the doctor's orders and give CeCe time to heal, a devastated Rocky tries everything she can to get her best friend to remember her and the special memories they shared.
