Sita and her sisters go through the forest to look for the missing cows. A Brahmin warns her against roaming in the woods since Ahalya's ashram is located there. He tells her that Ahalya had been cursed by Gautam Maharshi. Sita returns home with the cows. Later, she questions Rishi Gautam about his curse.
Dashrath greets Guru Vashisht with his wives. Guru Vashish cautions him to not break his promises. Sage Vishwamitra visits Mithila and recognises Sita's divinity. He cautions Janak against a potential danger to the kingdom. Ram wishes to meet Kaikeyi. However, Kaikeyi does not open the door for him.
Janak tells Sunaina about Chandrabhaga's desire to get Mandvi married before Sita. Later, he sends Sita and her sisters to Rishi Vishwamitra's ashram. Tataka's sons Mareech and Subahu start killing sages following her orders. Vishwamitra learns about Ram's skill at warfare and approaches Guru Vasishtha.
Tataka asks Mareech-Subahu to find Vishwamitra's ashram. Sita and her sisters see the ashrams demolished by the asuras. Sita decides to help Rishi Vishwamitra. Vishwamitra asks Dasharath to send Ram with him to help protect the Rishis. Dasharath is in a dilemma thinking about his promise to Vishwamitra.
Sunaina consoles Janak as he worries about Sita's marriage. Kushadwaj arrives with Mithila's army to fight Tataka. He is stunned when Vishwamitra prefers the two Raghu princes over an entire army! Sita and her sisters prepare to return home. Sita cooks a meal before leaving and gives it to Lakshman.
Subahu attacks Ram after faking his surrender. Ram fatally injures Subahu and reveals his divinity before the latter passes away. Sage Vishwamitra bestows the dreadful weapon, Brahmastra on Ram. Sita agrees to Janak's proposal to hold a swayamvar for her. Urmila realises that Sita is in love.
Janak announces Sita's swayamvar. Priest Shatanand prepares to send invitations to all the kingdoms including Lanka. A worried Sita worships Goddess Gauri. Meanwhile, Vishwamitra decides to take Ram and Lakshman to Mithila. Kaikeyi opposes Dashrath's decision to send Ram to Sita's swayamvar.
Ram and Lakshman receive an emotional farewell before they leave Sage Vishwamitra's ashram. Sita consoles Shatanand as he grieves over his mother, Ahalya's curse. Ram feels drawn towards Sage Gautham's ashram, where Ahalya had turned into stone. Ram decides to free her from Sage Gautham's curse.
The sages and Lakshman request Ram not to enter Sage Gautham's abandoned ashram. Shatanand, too arrives. Ram enters the ashram to free Ahalya from the curse and becomes emotional when he sees her plight. He ends the curse and appears before her as Maha Vishnu. Later, Maharshi Gautham arrives there.
Maharshi Gautam apologises to Ahalya and seeks her forgiveness. Lankapati Ravan sends his representative, Malyavaan to Mithila. Sita confronts him as he destroys a field to prepare a launchpad for Ravan's Pushpak Viman. Urmila scolds Malyavaan for misbehaving with Sita.
Sunaina worries about Ravan; Janak consoles her. Rishi Vishwamitra and Ram-Lakshman reach the banks of Ganga. Vishwamitra tells them about Goddess Ganga's life and about the Janak dynasty. Ram-Lakshman arrive in Mithila. Vishwamitra introduces Ram to Yagnavalkya and Gargi.
Gargi tests Ram by confronting him about Tadaka's killing. Ram serves food to Gargi and other women at Yagnavalkya's ashram, contrary to tradition. Janak and Sita long to see Ram. Vishwamitra acknowledges that Ram-Sita are the incarnation of Vishnu-Lakshmi. Sita and Ram finally see each other!
Sita and Ram greet each other. Janak is pleased to see Ram and embraces him. Sage Vishwamitra asks Janak to arrange for Ram-Lakshman to have a darshan of the Shiva Dhanush. Malyavaan tells Mandodari that Ravan has decided to attend Sita's swayamvar. Janak receives a shocking message from Dasharath.
Sita and Ram run into each other. She shows him a golden deer and later asks if he intends to have more than one wife. Ravan forces himself on Rambha, who is about to marry Kuber's son, Nal Kuber. Nal Kuber curses Ravan to die, if he mistreats another woman. Mandorari learns about the curse.
Nanashri tells Ravan that Vishwamitra had brought two princes to destroy Tadaka and Subahu. He tells Ravan that Janak has decided to get Sita married to the person who will string the Shiva Dhanush. Janak informs Kushadwaj that Ravan is a devotee of Lord Shiva. Ravan goes to Mithila for the swayamvar.
Ravan reaches Mithila for Sita's swayamvar. Later, Ravan tells Janak that he wants to see the Shiva Dhanush. Urmila assures Shrutakirti and Mandvi that Ram will win the swayamvar. Meanwhile, Dasharath shares his worries with Guru Vashisth. Janak and Sita get emotional and share a tender moment.
Ravan sees the Shiva Dhanush at Janak's temple and vows to take it to Lanka. A humble Ram helps an elderly woman plough a field. Ravan snubs Kushadwaj. Later, he decides to go late to the swayamvar. Sita arrives for her swayamvar and fails to find Ram there!
Mighty kings fail to even move the Shiva Dhanush at the swayamvar! Malyavaan ridicules the assembly for being weak and praises Ravan's might. Later, Ravan arrives to lift the divine bow and humiliates Sita and Janak. He fails to lift it and in a fit of rage, shows his fearsome 10 heads!
Ravan terrifies the assembly with his 10 heads. He partially lifts the Shiva Dhanush before dropping it. He calls Janak a cheat and Sita an orphan! The kings decide to battle it out to win Sita's hand. The fearsome Sage Vishwamitra arrives in time to stop them. Ram-Lakshman arrive too!
Vishwamitra challenges the kings to fight Ram-Lakshman. They hang their heads in defeat. Janak criticises them for fighting over Sita. Vishwamitra orders Ram to uphold Janak's dignity. Ram takes the blessings of the Shiva Dhanush, picks it up with his left hand and snaps it into two!
Janak is shocked as Ram snaps the Shiv Dhanush into two pieces. Lakshman confronts the kings for challenging Ram. Later, Janak announces that Ram is eligible to marry Sita. He is delighted when Sita agrees to marry Ram. Sita puts the garland around Ram. Ram requests Janak to inform Dasharath about the swayamwar.
Sita garlands Ram. Parvati asks Shiva the reason for Ram's incarnation. An enraged Lord Parashuram arrives, threatens to kill everyone and turn Mithila into a burial ground. He fumes at Lakshman for speaking up but Vishwamitra prays to him for forgiveness. He orders Ram to fight with him.
Maharishi Yagyawalkya tells Lord Parashuram about Tadaka vadh. Parashuram learns that Ram is Vishnu's incarnation. He gives Vishnu's Dhanush to Varundev as Ram refuses to take it. Vishwamitra asks Janak to get Dasharath's approval for Ram and Sita's marriage. Ravan decides to punish Janak.
Janak sends a message to Dasharath conveying that Ram has fulfilled the challenge of the Swayamvar and requests his acceptance for the marriage. Dasharath, Kaushalya, Sumitra, Bharat and Shatrughan are delighted by the news. However, Kaikeyi tells Dasharath to turn down Janak’s request.
Sita asks Urmila to find out Ram's food choices. Ravan decides to wage a war on Mithila, but in vain. Ram prefers to eat Sita’s choice of food. Manthara is curious to learn the reason behind Kaikeyi’s disapproval of Sita. Sita serves food to Ram and Lakshman.
Lakshman praises Sita’s cooking skills. Sita asks Ram about his favourite dish. Ravan instructs Tatik to destroy Mithila. Manthara suggests Kaikeyi to approve of Ram's wedding with Sita. A furious Kaikeyi asks Manthara to leave. Bharat asks Kaikeyi to reconsider Ram and Sita’s wedding.
Sunaina gets worried about Sita and Urmila. Kaushalya and Sumitra assure Dasharath that they will make Kaikeyi agree to Ram-Sita’s wedding. Later, Kaikeyi agrees to the wedding on reading Ram's letter. Sita suspects someone to have tampered with nature. Ram saves Mithila from the flood.
Janak praises Ram's valour in saving Mithila. Kaikeyi assures Dashrath that she will make Ram-Sita's wedding the most memorable. Sita and Sunaina get emotional. Mandodari confronts Malyavan for helping Ravan in his misdeed. Urmila is frightened to see a gigantic snake.
Lakshman rescues Urmila from the serpent. Ravan is angry when Tatik tells him that he has failed to destroy Mithila. He recalls Vedavati's curse. Ravan attacks Yamraj when he refuses to explain the mystery of his death. Later, he fights with Mrityudevi and captivates Yamraj and Navgrah.
Dasharath leaves for Mithila. Janak tells Shatanand that they have to fix an auspicious day for Ram and Sita's wedding. Meanwhile, Lakshman tells Ram that Dasharath has agreed to the wedding. Janak asks Shatanand to invite Sunaina's brothers for the wedding.
Dasharath seeks blessings from Vishwamitra and Yagyavalkya. He becomes elated on meeting Ram and Lakshman. Janak welcomes Dasharath to Mithila. Sunaina grooms Sita. Dasharath tells Janak that he is not supposed to meet Sita before the wedding as per their tradition.
Bharat and Shatrughan meet Ram and Lakshman. Sita’s sisters want to spend some time with her. Janak seeks Sita’s approval to send her wedding card to Dasharath. Mahadev decides to attend Ram-Sita’s wedding. Sunaina’s brothers talk to Ram about the marriage.
Shatanand appoints Urmila as the vidhikari for Sita-Ram’s wedding. Mandvi complains to Sita about Bharat. Sita apologises to her on Bharat’s behalf. Kaushalya, Sumitra and Kaikeyi are delighted on learning about Sita-Ram’s wedding being fixed. Parvati decides to attend Ram’s haldi ceremony.
Mahadev transforms into a pigeon and applies turmeric on Ram. However, Ram identifies Mahadev. Parvati tells Sunaina that she is Mahadev’s devotee and puts haldi on Sita. Sita seeks blessings from Parvati. Narad too decides to meet Ram before the wedding.
Narad disguises as a dhobi and performs a pre-wedding ritual for Ram. Sages Vasishta and Vishwamitra learn about Dasharath's intention of getting his other sons married to Janak's daughters. They suggest him to go ahead. Dasharath requests Janak about the same.
On Dasharath's request, Janak agrees to get his daughters married to Lakshman, Bharath and Shatrughan. Mandvi shares her grief with Sita. Bharath tells Ram that Mandvi may not be interested in the wedding. Chandrabhaga apologises to Janak. Mandvi agrees to marry Bharath on realising her mistake.
Shrutkirti tells Bharat that Mandvi has agreed to marry him. A delighted Kaikeyi tells Kaushalya and Sumitra about Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan's marriage with Janak's daughters. Lord Shiv asks Vishwakarma to create a mandap for Ram and Sita's marriage. A woman tells Sunaina about Sita's horoscope.
Sunaina is sad to learn about Sita's future. Vishwakarma creates a mandap for Ram and Sita's wedding. Lord Shiva, Parvati and Brahma arrive in disguise to attend the wedding. Lord Shiva takes up the guise of a Brahmin and performs Ram, Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan's pre-marriage ritual.
Yudhjit is shocked to learn that Laxman, Bharat and Shatrughan are getting married along with Ram. Ram, his brothers and Dasharath reach Mithila. The grooms and the brides arrive at the mandap for the wedding. Vishwamitra is happy about playing an important role in Ram and Sita's marriage.
The grooms and the brides arrive at the mandap. Lord Shiva, Parvati and Lord Brahma attend Ram and Sita's wedding in disguise. Mithila celebrates their marriage. Janak, Sunaina, Kushadwaj and Chandrabhaga perform the Var puja. The kanyadan ceremony begins.
The grooms and the brides take the mangal phere around the sacred fire. Janak and Dashrath celebrate Ram and Sita's marriage. Later, the grooms perform the sindoor daan on their brides. Dashrath promises Janak that they will not leave until he bids his daughters a fond farewell. Yudhjit tells Dashrath about his father's ill health.
The grooms and the brides feed each other and break their fast. Mandodari is worried about Ravan and the curses that have been heaped on him because of his immoral actions but Malyavan assures her saying that Ravan is immortal! Sunaina gently reminds Janak that they need to prepare for their daughters' farewell. Janak apologises to Ram for his mistake.
Ram is impressed by Sita as she convinces Janak to let her go. Janak decides to carry out his daughters' bidai the next day. Sita's sisters are upset at the thought of leaving Mithila. Sita assures Sunaina that she will not let her family down.
Kaikesi proclaims to Mandodari that Ravan's death will be caused by the woman who has married Narayan's avatar. Sita seeks Gargi's blessings. Mandodari thinks of ways to avert Ravan's death. Ram promises Sita to always stand by her side! Yagyavalkya sets an auspicious time for Sita's farewell.
Ram questions Vishwamitra seeing him sad. Vishwamitra tells Ram about his past when he used to be an egoistic king and had once asked Rishi Vashist to part with his miraculous cow, Nandini. Ram learns that Vishwamitra chose to become a sage to defeat Vashisth.
Vishwamitra tells Ram that he wanted to defeat Vashisth and that he agreed to send Satyavrat to swarglok alive. He also shares with Ram how he started living an austere life to become a Brahmarishi. He later apologises to Vashisth.
Janak advises Sita about married life. Kaikeyi, Kaushalya and Sumitra are informed about the departure of Dasharath, Ram, his brothers and their brides from Mithila. Janak, Sunaina, Kushadwaj and Chandrabhaga bid farewell to their daughters. Ram and Sita embark on their journey to Ayodhya.
Vashist blesses the newly-weds and advises them on grihastashram. Ram wants to meet Shanta on their way to Ayodhya. Vibhishan tells Mandodari about a nectar that can make Ravan immortal. Sumantra finds a place to halt for the night. Sita consoles her sisters. A few asuras plan an attack on Ram.
Sita tells Ram about the significance of lighting earthen lamps. Kaikeyi, Sumitra and Kaushalya eagerly await the newly-weds to arrive. Dasharath reaches Ayodhya and tells Kaikeyi about Ram's plan to visit Shanta. Ram and Sita take Ganga's blessings.
Sumantra alerts everyone that the forest ahead is inhabited by the Asuras. The newly-weds take a stroll in the forest. The Asuras launch an attack on Ram and his brothers, who then protect their brides. Bharat gets seriously injured and loses consciousness.
A Rishi suggests that Brahmarishi Mudgal can cure Bharat. Lakshman and Shatrughan find Rishi Mudgal. Ram forms a magical cocoon to protect Bharat, Sumantra and the brides from the asuras. Lakshman and Shatrughan break Rishi Mudgal's meditation. The asuras fail to harm Ram. Rishi Mudgal arrives to cure Bharat.
Virad tells Mahashambar that they have to wait for the perfect time to kill Ram. Mandodari tells her father that Ravan's life is in danger, but he refuses to help. Her mother, however, guides her in getting the Amrit.
Shanta is happy to see Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan with their brides. Mandodari goes to Chandralok to get the Amrit kalash. Sita tells Shanta that they have come to take her to Ayodhya. Mandodari succeeds in getting the kalash.
Ram tells Sita about his forefather, Raja Harishchandra. Vibhishan warns Mandodari that Ravan should not find out about his immortality. Mandodari succeeds in her plan of making Ravan immortal. Ravan feels stronger than ever after waking up. Mandodari is shocked to see his strength!
Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan reach Ayodhya with their brides. Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra welcome them. Kaikeyi tells Rishi Vashisth about Sita's wish to enter the palace with her sisters. Later, Sita, Mandvi, Shrutakirti and Urmila enter the palace together.
An Aghori predicts Manthara’s future and tells her that she will be thrown out of the palace. Kaushalya asks the brides to sleep in their mother-in-laws' rooms until the Garbhadan Sanskar. Kaikeyi introduces Manthara to Sita. Manthara wants Bharat to become the king.
Ravan kills Kuber's messengers on reading his letter. Kuber asks Ravan to abandon the idea of conquering the world. Rishi Vashisth tells the couples that the Garbhadan Sanskar will be performed after 15 days. Manthara decides to find Sita's weakness and asks someone to spy on her.
Ram gifts a headpiece to Sita. Sita tells him Kaikeyi had given his letter to her. Mandvi gifts a painting to Bharat. A furious Ravan cruelly damages Kuber's eyes for insulting him.
Ravan challenges the gods to stop him from conquering the world. Lord Mahadev tells the gods that Amrit has been placed in Ravan's umbilicus. Kaikasi asks Ravan to attack Indradev. Meanwhile, Bharat and Shatrughan set off to meet Ashwapati.
Dashrath recalls the moment when Shravan's parents cursed him. Sita prepares an ayurvedic medicine for Dashrath when he falls ill. Sumantra asks Ram to fulfill Dashrath's responsibilities. Ravan confronts Shurpnakha for marrying a demon, Vidyutjivah. Mandodari tries to make Ravan realise his mistake.
Dasharath tells Sita about his nightmare. Ravan is angry with Shurpanakha for marrying Vidyujjihva, and bids her farewell. Sita tells Ram about the curse of Shravan’s parents. Meanwhile, Manthara tries to provoke Mandvi against Sita. Dasharath finds comfort in Ram's words.
Dashrath tells Rishi Vashisth that he has decided to crown Ram as the king of Ayodhya and makes an announcement about the same. The Gods attack Ravan, but fail. A demon tells Ravan that Indradev had gone to attend king Marut's yagya. Shurpnakha tells Vidyutjivah that Ravan has gone to kill Indradev.
Dasharath announces Ram to be his heir to the throne! Kaushalya, Sumitra and Lakshman are ecstatic to know that Ram will be crowned the king of Ayodhya. Meanwhile, Indradev is frightened to see Ravan. Marut's rajguru asks Ravan to forgive him.
Manthara is determined to stop Ram from becoming the king. Vashisth asks Ram to get the Raj Tilak ceremony done immediately. Indradev tries to run away from Ravan. Kaikeyi learns about Dasharath's decision to crown Ram as king! Indradev blesses the peacocks for their help. The Raj Tilak ceremony begins.
Dasharath apologises to Kaikeyi for not informing her about Ram's Raj Tilak. Kaikeyi asks Manthara to begin preparations. Parvati tells Lord Shiva about Ravan's misdeed. Malyavan asks Ravan to gain special powers to defeat Indradev.
Ram vows to protect Raghukul's traditions and values. Rishi Vashisth talks to Ram about the latter's coronation. Manthara tries to provoke Kaikeyi against Ram and Kaushalya; tells her that Ram will not make her the Rajmata of Ayodhya. Kaikeyi slaps Manthara for insulting Ram!
Kaikeyi slaps Manthara for insulting Ram. Manthara reminds Kaikeyi about Dasharath's promise to Ashwapati. She tells Kaikeyi about Dasharath's conspiracy against her. The demon apologises to Ravan and offers to give his elusive powers to him. On getting the elusive powers, Ravan decides to captivate Indradev.
Ram seeks the blessings of the commoners so that he can become a good ruler. Kaikeyi is unhappy about Ram becoming the king. Dashrath wants to apologise to her. Kaikeyi decides to stop Ram's coronation. Manthra gives her an idea for this. Meanwhile, Ravan decides to visit Shurpanakha.
Kaikeyi reminds Dasharath about the promise that he had made to her. He promises to fulfill two wishes. Kaikeyi tells him to crown Bharat the king of Ayodhya and send Ram into exile for 14 years!
Vashisth waits for Dasharath to arrive for Ram's coronation. Dasharath hesitantly agrees to crown Bharat the king and send Ram away. Manthara is elated to learn that Bharat will be the king. The Danavas plan an attack on Ravan. Kaikeyi tells Sumantra that Dasharath wants to have a word with Ram.
Sumantra tells Vashist that Dasharath has called Ram for something important. Ram is worried to see Dasharath lying on the floor. Kaikeyi tells Ram about Dasharath's promises to her. Ravan slays Vidyutjivah. Ram readily accepts Kaikeyi's orders!
Ram informs Rishi Vashisth that they will not be performing the coronation and apologises to the councillors. He announces to everyone that Bharath will be coronated King and that he will go on exile! Kaushalya, Sumitra and everyone present are shocked at the turn of events. Shurpanakha is dejected on seeing Vidyutjivah's dead body. Dasharath severs his relationship with Kaikeyi.
Kaushalya and Sumitra confront Kaikeyi for conspiring against Ram. Lakshman too decides to go with Ram on exile. Meanwhile, Malyavan asks Ravan to attack Indradev.
Sita tries to comfort Dasharath on seeing him in pain. Dasharath requests Sita and Vashist to stop Ram from leaving. Ram seeks Kaushalya's blessings. Kaushalya sadly permits Ram to leave. Kaikesi slaps Surpanakha for seeking revenge from Ravan. Sita decides to accompany Ram on his exile.
Sita tells Ram that she has decided to accompany him on his exile. Ram tries to make Sita understand the hardships they are bound to face. Dasharath continues to grieve about Ram's exile. Ram refuses to agree with Sita's decision. Mandodari blames Kaikesi for Ravan's atrocities. Kaushalya does not want Sita to leave.
Mandavi requests Kaikeyi to speak to Bharath about Ram's exile. Manthara provokes Kaikeyi against Kaushalya. Dasharath asks his men to take Kaikeyi out of his room. Ram apologises to Kaikeyi on Dasharath's behalf and decides to go on exile
Sita urges Ram to take her along with him. Bharath and Shatrughan plan to return to Ayodhya. Urmila supports Lakshman's decision of accompanying Ram. Kaushalya, Sumitra and Vasishth are hesitant to allow Sita to go with Ram. Sita tries to convince them to let her go.
Ram allows Sita to accompany him to the forest. The residents of Ayodhya learn about Kaikeyi's conspiracy against Ram. Urmila tells Sita that Lakshman will accompany them. Ram takes Dasharath's permission to leave.
Ram tells Dashrath that he has promised Kaikeyi to leave the palace. Lord Shiva tells Parvati that Dashrath was Lord Vishnu's devotee in his past life. Kaikeyi reminds Ram the rules of his exile. Sita vows to follow sanyasi dharma for fourteen years. Sumitra asks Lakshman to protect Ram and Sita.
Ram, Sita and Lakshman leave the palace. Rishi Jabali tells Ram that he does not have to fulfill the promise made to Kaikeyi. After Ravan attacks Indradev, Lord Brahma stops him from killing Indradev. The people tell Ram that they will accompany him on his exile.
Ram leaves Ayodhya on his exile. Kaikesi praises Ravan for defeating Indradev. Bharath and Shatrughan receive a message asking them to return to Ayodhya. Malyavan tells Shurpanakha that Vidyutjivah had attacked Ravan.
Ram, Sita and Lakshman leave at dawn. They head for the Ganga river. A devotee is elated to see Ram and welcomes him home. Surpanakha tells Ravan that she regrets being Vidyutjivah's wife. Sita is surprised to see people's love for Ram.
A boatman agrees to help Ram, Lakshman and Sita cross the Ganga. Sumantra informs Kaushalya that Ram left while he was sleeping. Bharath and Shatrughan head for Ayodhya. The boatman washes Ram's feet. Later, Sumantra informs Dasharath too about Ram's departure.
Maharishi Bharadwaj invites Ram to his ashram. Sita and Ram get upset on seeing a fawn separated from its family. A grieving Dasharath passes away! Shrutkirti informs Kaikeyi about the same.
Kaikeyi laments over Dasharath's death. Sumitra blames Kaikeyi for his death. Ram performs the fawn's funeral. Vasishth decides to preserve Dasharath's body until Bharath and Shatrughan arrive. Sita consoles Ram on seeing him upset.
Manthara tells Kaikeyi that Bharat has returned to Ayodhya. Bharat asks Mandvi and Vashist about Ram. When he learns about Kaikeyi’s misdeed, he blames her for Dashrath’s death. He confronts her for her actions against Ram and decides to leave her.
Kaushalya consoles Bharath and tells him not to feel guilty about the past events. Bharath refuses to become the king of Ayodhya. He performs Dasharath's last rites. Kaikeyi tries to stop Shatrughan from harming Manthara. Ram, Lakshman and Sita leave Bharadwaj's ashram. Shatrughan punishes Manthara.
Lakshman tries to cheer up Ram and Sita. Kaushalya slaps Bharat for trying to expel Kaikeyi. Ram and Sita stop at a banyan tree to pray. Bharat grabs Kaikeyi by her hand and expels her from the Raj Bhavan. Ram, Lakshman and Sita are welcomed by a few Rishis at Chitrakoot. Kaikeyi regrets for her deeds.
Lakshman sets up a shelter and a kitchen for Ram and Sita. Kaikeyi regrets her wrongdoings. Guru Vashisht stops Kaikeyi from committing suicide. He demands her to compensate for her mistakes. Ram helps Sita in making a few earthen pots. Janak offers to join Bharat in bringing Ram back to Ayodhya.
Bharath and Janak decide to bring Ram back to Ayodhya. Kaikeyi is grateful to Janak for reminding her about her love for Ram. She requests Bharath to take her along with him to meet Ram. Lakshman mistakes Bharath to be coming with an army to Chitrakoot to kill them and attacks him!
Lakshman apologises to Bharath for suspecting him. Ram is depressed on learning about Dasharath's death. He apologises to Kaushalya. Later, as per Vasishth's instructions, Ram immerses Dasharath's ashes with a heavy heart.
Sita tries to console a dejected Ram. Bharath requests Ram to return to Ayodhya, but he refuses. Ram tells Bharath that the Dharm Sabha will decide whether he needs to return or not. He tells Janak that he will not return because he wants to fulfil the promise he had made to Dasharath.
Ram vows to fulfill Dasharath's promises to Kaikeyi. Kaikeyi apologises to Ram and frees him from the promises. Janak favours Ram in the dharm sabha. Bharath insists that Ram return to Ayodhya. He assures Ram of fulfilling his responsibilities as his representative.
Bharath asks Ram for his sandals. Janak is worried about Sita's well-being during the exile. Ram, Lakshman and Sita bid goodbye to their family. Ram promises Bharath to return after his exile. Bharath places Ram's sandals on the throne. He apologises to Vashist saying he cannot take over Ram's place.
Ram carries Sita as she is unable to walk after injuring her foot. Mandavi tries to placate guilty Bharath. He requests Mandavi to support him in his decision. Sita asks Ram if she is a burden on him when Lakshman says that they need to be more careful now as they are traveling with a lady.
Sita finds a kid wandering in the jungle. Ram rescues her from a vulture. Bharath apologises to Urmila for failing to bring back Ram, Lakshman and Sita. Shatrughan confronts Bharath for his decision of becoming a tapaswi. The kid tells Ram about the dangers in their journey ahead.
Bharath assures Kaushalya that he will stay near Ayodhya. He asks Shatrughan to help him in keeping his promise to Ram. Daityaraj asks his men to attack Ram. Mandavi tells Kaikeyi that Bharath has decided to leave the Rajbhavan!
Ram tells Sita that he is blessed to have a wife like her. Sumitra gets emotional on reminiscing about Lakshman. Shatrughan feels dejected on realising Bharath's fervent love for Ram. Shatrughan informs Bharath that all the activities of the throne are being restored in Ayodhya.
Some demons, disguised as birds, try to abduct the child travelling with Ram. Sita attacks the bird with Lakshman’s bow and arrow. Ram saves the child from dying. Later, Shatrughan gives a verdict against a girl from Ayodhya at the royal court.
Lakshman tells Ram and Sita that Goddess Nidradevi has given him a boon to stay awake so that he can serve them! While, Rishi Vasishth informs Kaushalya and Sumitra that on Lakshman's request, Nidradevi has given his share of sleep to Urmila, until he returns to Ayodhya.
The child tells his mother that Ram, Sita and Lakshman had rescued him from the vultures. Ram, Sita and Lakshman visit Maharishi Atri's hermitage. Kaushalya shares her miseries with Sumitra. Lord Hanuman rescues a child from danger. Shatrughan opens up to Shrutakirti.
Sita orders Lakshman to keep Ram busy until she completes her task. When Ram comes asking about Sita, Lakshman suggests Ram to socialize with the people of their community. Hanuman leads the hungry kids to a field full of watermelons. Ram decides to free the people from the atrocity of the demons.
Hanuman tells a child about seeing Ram in his dreams. Ram tells Sita that his existence has no importance without her. Hanuman seeks Suryadev's help for an answer to his dreams. Sita surprises Ram with a gift on his birthday. A rishi speaks to Ram about Sita's safety on their perilous journey ahead.
Ram conveys to Sita about his wish to protect the Rishis from the demons. He tells her that she will be an inspiration for generations to come. Later, Bharath gets emotional when Sumitra visits him to celebrate his birthday. Anusuya tells Sita that she has to protect herself from the demons.
Rishi Agastya asks Ram to share his knowledge of war and weapons. Suryadev asks Hanuman to protect his son, Sugriva. Meanwhile, Bali punishes Sugriva for neglecting his work. Mandvi tells Bharath that she will spread the importance of educating girls in Ayodhya. Sugriva tells Hanuman about Roma.
Hanuman tells Sugriva that he is going to meet Roma and asks him not to enter the palace. Meanwhile, Ram, Sita and Lakshman build a hut. Hanuman conveys to Roma that Sugriva loves her and wants to marry her. Later, Roma requests Hanuman to get her father, Panash's consent for her marriage with Sugriva.
Ram, Sita and Lakshman are saddened when their hut gets destroyed by a sudden flood. Hanuman tells Panash of Roma and Sugriva's love for each other. However, Panash refuses to get Roma married to Sugriva. Later, as Sita is about to be attacked by some demons, Ram comes to her rescue.
Panash's wife gives her consent to Roma and Sugriva's marriage. Hanuman punishes Indradev's son, Jayant, when he tries to attack him. Later, Hanuman asks Sugriva to convince Bali for his marriage with Roma. A few women ask Sita to do goddess Parvati's puja in the temple.
As Sita performs goddess Parvati's puja in the temple, Goddess Parvati kills the demons and rescues Sita. She assures Lord Shiva that she will not interfere in Lord Vishnu and goddess Laxmi's work. Bali decides to get Sugriva married to Roma. Malyavan confronts Virad for hiding the truth from Ravan.
Ravan stops Surpanakha from killing one of his soldiers. Meghnath punishes the soldier for his misdemeanour. Later, he threatens Sulochna for speaking against his family. Ravan forgives a rakshas and asks him to lead his army to Dandakaranya. Surpanakaha insists Ravan to let her go to Dandakaranya.
Surpanakha decides not to go to Dandakaranya. Lakshman and Sita are attacked by a giant bird, Jatayu. Lakshman attacks Jatayu, who later tells them that he wants to meet Ram. Ram is surprised on learning that Jatayu is a friend of Dasharath. Panash and his wife attend Sugriva and Roma's marriage.
Jatayu is dejected on learning about Dasharath's death. Lord Hanuman teaches wrestling to children. Later, he rescues a child who attempts suicide. Jatayu tells Ram, Sita and Lakshman about his brother, Sampati and how Sampati had lost his wings while rescuing him.
Surpanakha awakens Kumbhkaran with the help of the soldiers. Jatayu tells Ram, Sita and Lakshman about Sampati's hatred for the Suryavanshis. Meanwhile, Lord Hanuman praises the child Jadmati when he treats his student Malu, who has injured himself while wrestling.
A demon, Virad, plots to kill Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Lakshman creates a force field around the hut for Sita's security and asks her to stay behind the line. Ram and Lakshman leave to meet Jatayu and Sampati. Later, Hanuman tells Jadmati's father that Jadmati had tried to kill himself.
Sampati confronts Jatayu for bringing fruits instead of meat. He tells Ram that he is repenting for his mistake. Malyavan shares with Meghnad, his plan to take over Kishkinda. The asuras, Mayavi and Dundubi, attack Sugriva. Later, Dundubi threatens to kill Roma.
Lakshman apologises to Sita for his mistake. Meghnad tells Rahu and Ketu to avenge the insult they had faced at the hands of Hanuman. Jatayu wishes to stay with Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Sita prevents an asura woman from attempting suicide, but she instead blames Sita for ruining their life.
Parshuram realises that Ram is Lord Vishnu's incarnation. Ram refuses to take Lord Vishnu's Bow, Sarang. Vishwamitra asks Janak to get Dashrath's approval for Ram and Sita's marriage. Ravan orders Tatik to destroy Mithila. Kaikeyi agrees for Ram and Sita's wedding. Ram saves Mithila from the flood.
Sita tells Ram that all the asuras are not sinners. Dundubi comes up with a plan to kill Bali and Sugriva. Hanuman follows Rahu and Ketu to Patal Lok. Dundubi disguises as a buffalo and battles with Bali. On witnessing the helpless asuras, Ram promises Sita to never kill an innocent asura again.
Rahu and Ketu inform Hanuman about Meghnad's plan against Bali and Sugriva. Virad attacks Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Jatayu tells Ram a way to kill Virad. Bali kills Dundubi. Rishi Matang curses Bali for breaking his meditation. Ravan asks Malyavan to find about Surpanakha.
Ram kills Virad after he is trapped in a pit. Bali decides to kill Mayavi when he challenges him. Jatayu informs Ram that Ravan's army has attacked the residents of Panchvati.
Ram kills Ravan's soldiers and saves the residents of Panchvati. Mayavi decides to take Bali to Rishimukh mountain. Bali follows Mayavi into a cave and asks Sugriva to wait outside until he returns. However, Sugriva is shocked on hearing Bali's screams. Later, Jayant praises Sita.
Meghnad informs Ravan about Bali's death. Sugriva tells Tara about the same. Sita confronts Jayant for his lewd behaviour, who then transforms into a crow and injures her. Meanwhile, Sugriva suggests that Tara make Angad the king of Kishkinda. Later, Ram tends to Sita's wounds.
Jayant regrets his misdeed and apologizes to Ram. He punishes himself by injuring one of his eyes. Ram is worried about Sita's safety. Roma's father assures Sugriva that he will train him to become an able king. Tara decides to make Sugriva the king of Kishkinda after his training.
Surpanakha pretends to drown and calls Ram to rescue her. Sita questions Ram about Surpanakha's beauty when he tells her about the incident. Surpanakha makes sure that Ravan's men do not launch an attack on Ram. Sita goes to fetch a few lotus. Surpanakha also goes to fetch a lotus.
Sita comes across Surpanakha at the lake. She gets suspicious when Surpanakha tells her that the lotuses die when she touches them. Malyavan tells Meghnath how Bali had once defeated Ravan Ravan tells Meghnath to find out whether Bali is alive or dead.
Surpanakha tells Sita that her husband had deceived her. Meanwhile, Ram searches for Sita. Parvati asks Lord Shiva to make Ravan realize his mistake. Ravan confronts Lord Shiva for not helping him. Later, Lord Shiva tries to get him to realize his folly and scolds him for his mistakes.
