Season 9

Staffel 9 war ursprünglich die letzte Staffel von Akte X. Als in Staffel 8 neue Hauptdarsteller eingeführt wurden, war geplant, die Serie bis Staffel 11 oder 12 fortzusetzen, aber aufgrund sinkender Einschaltquoten endete die Serie damals mit Staffel 9. David Duchovny kehrte in der letzten Folge zurück. Ursprünglich war geplant, drei Jahre nach dem Ende von Staffel 9 einen zweiten Film zu produzieren, aber aufgrund rechtlicher Probleme begann die Produktion erst 2007 und der Film wurde 2008 veröffentlicht, sechs Jahre nach dem ursprünglichen Abschluss der Serie. Akte X kehrte jedoch nach dem ursprünglichen Ende schließlich für weitere Staffeln zurück.

Season 9 was initially the last season of The X-Files. When introducing new leads in Season 8, the plan was to continue until Season 11 or 12, but due to declining ratings, the series concluded with Season 9 at the time. David Duchovny made a return in the final episode. Originally, the plan was to produce a second movie three years after the end of Season 9, but due to legal issues, production began in 2007, and the movie was released in 2008, six years after the series' initial conclusion. However, The X-Files eventually returned for more seasons after its initial ending.
