Das Stück, das die Schülertheatergruppe aufführen soll, stammt aus der Feder von Chase. Deswegen soll er auch die männliche Hauptrolle übernehmen. Für den weiblichen Gegenpart, in den die männliche Hauptfigur natürlich verliebt ist, sucht er Zoey aus. Doch bei den ersten Proben wird klar, dass Logan für Chases Rolle viel geeigneter ist. Zoey zögert zunächst mit Logan zu spielen, als sie ihn allerdings in Aktion sieht, ist sie von seinen schauspielerischen Fähigkeiten überzeugt. Trotzdem versucht Chase Logan von der Bühne zu verdrängen. Dustin ist schwer erkältet, und es wäre vielleicht möglich, das Logan sich – natürlich rein zufällig – bei ihm ansteckt. Doch der Plan geht gehörig daneben, und es ist Chase, der am Premierenabend krank im Bett liegt. Zoey versucht derweil das Stück so zu verändern, dass sie Logan nicht küssen muss. Ob es ihr gelingt?
Chase writes a play, and he is cast as the lifeguard, and Zoey is cast as the alien, who he gets to kiss. Chase is excited, but then Logan auditions and gets the part instead. Chase becomes obsessed with what will happen between Logan and Zoey. Meanwhile, Dustin has a fever and Quinn tries to cure him by using one of her "Quinnventions".

Chase scrive una commedia d'amore che verrà messa in scena alla PCA. Chase decide di fare il bagnino e con sua grande felicità l'aliena Zorca con cui avrà una scuola d'amore è Zoey. Logan benchè abbia preso in giro l'amico per la recita fa un provino bellissimo e "ruba" il ruolo del bagnino a Chase. All'inizio Zoey si arrabbia ma poi sentendo recitare Logan cambia idea. Chase le prove tutte per impedire che i due si bacino : paga Dustin (che ha l'influenza) per sternutire sul cuscino di Logan , ma la mattina è lui stesso ad essere malato. Durante la recita Zoey commette un errore e Logan si arrabbia molto bisbigliandole di stare attenta e non farle fare brutte figure. Zoey , offesa, capisce che era rimasta affascinata dal personaggio di Logan non dall'attore così si rifiuta di baciarlo inventando un finale alternativo in cui Zorca respinge il bagino. Chase è molto felice!
