Com Midousuji derrotado e a pouquíssimos quilômetros do final do Intercolegial, Onoda e Imaizumi tentam uma dobradinha pelo Sohoku, mas um último desafiante promete fazer frente à dupla.
Midôsuji étant maintenant hors course, Imaizumi et Onoda foncent vers l’arrivée et se voient déjà passer la ligne à deux. Mais ce sera sans compter sur le retour de l’équipe de Hakone, prête à en découdre.
Imaizumi wins the battle in the rain and rides in the lead. Sakamichi catches up to him, and Sugimoto and the other supporting members cheer for Team Sohoku as they ride alone in the lead. While Sohoku goes for the one-two finish, Kuroda and Manami of Hakone Academy close in from behind. Kuroda sends off Manami, who instantly jumps into the lead. The dangerous situation leaves Sakamichi bewildered, but there's only one thing he can do for the team. Imaizumi gives him the final order of taking their jersey to the finish line, and Sakamichi chases after Manami at full power...!
선두에서 달리고 있다는 기쁨도 잠시, 하코네 학교의 맹렬한 추격으로 위기에 놓인 소호쿠. 체력이 다해 페이스를 올릴 수 없었던 이마이즈미는 오노다를 앞으로 내보내려고 한다. 하지만, 오노다가 망설이는 사이 소호쿠를 앞질러버린 하코네 학교의 마나미 산가쿠. 이윽고 마음을 다잡은 오노다는 마나미 산가쿠를 따라가기 시작하고 두 사람은 마침내 골라인을 앞둔 대결을 펼치게 된다.
Gerade, als Imaizumi und Onoda dachten, der Weg ins Ziel wäre frei, nähert sich doch noch ein rivalisierendes Team. Für die Sōhoku ist das natürlich ein Problem, aber für Onoda könnte das auch eine ganz persönliche Chance werden.
