It's nighttime, and a circus train is passing through town. But a baby elephant is sleeping too close to the edge of the car he's in, and tumbles out, rolls down the hill, into a house, and right into Tom's basket. Not noticing out of tiredness, Tom curls up on top of the elephant, who's under the blanket. It manages to make a quick getaway, then sucks up Tom's milk with it's truck. Thinking it was Jerry, Tom marches into the kitchen. Jerry was actually drinking milk, but is wasn't Tom's. Still thinking he did it, Tom prepares to smash his bowl on him, when the elephant comes to his rescue. The two then hide from Tom in the closet, and decide to play a trick on him; Jerry paints the elephant to make him look like a super-sized version of himself...
Il fait nuit et un train de cirque traverse la ville. Mais un bébé éléphant dort trop près du bord de la voiture dans laquelle il se trouve, et dégringole, roule en bas de la colline, dans une maison et directement dans le panier de Tom. Ne s’apercevant pas de fatigue, Tom se recroqueville sur l’éléphant, qui est sous la couverture. Il parvient à faire une escapade rapide, puis aspire le lait de Tom avec son camion. Pensant que c’était Jerry, Tom entre dans la cuisine. Jerry buvait du lait, mais ce n’était pas celui de Tom. Pensant toujours qu’il l’a fait, Tom se prépare à briser son bol sur lui, lorsque l’éléphant vient à son secours. Les deux se cachent alors de Tom dans le placard et décident de lui jouer un tour; Jerry peint l’éléphant pour le faire ressembler à une version surdimensionnée de lui-même...

宁静的夜晚，一列火车从远方呼啸着驶来。这列火车挂着几节属于马戏团的车厢，其中一节敞着门，里面睡着可爱的小象和他的妈妈。也许睡得太香太沉了，倚在门边的小象不慎跌落下去，顺着山坡一直滚到某户人家的家里，最终掉进汤姆睡觉的篮子内。 听到了汤姆的脚步声，小巷躲在被子下，而汤姆还以为躺在了柔软的床垫下。小家伙饥肠辘辘，忍不住伸出鼻子吸走旁边盘子内的牛奶。奇怪的响动惊醒了汤姆，虽然抢走盘子，可是奶还是自行飞走了。他以为这一切又是杰瑞搞得鬼，于是去找正在厨房偷牛奶喝的杰瑞算账。关键时刻，小象救了杰瑞，而它也打扮成杰瑞的模样和汤姆玩起了游戏。
En elefantunge faller ur cirkuståget och rullar i väg tills han hamnar i Toms säng. Han allierar sig snabbt med Jerry och med hjälp av en upprullad snabel och lite färg, har han förklätt sig till en jättemus. De båda kompisarna beslutar sig för att jäklas med Tom genom att byta plats med varandra, vilket givetvis får kissen att bli förvirrad.
Es de noche y un tren de circo pasa por la ciudad. Pero un bebé elefante está durmiendo demasiado cerca del borde del vagón en el que va, y sale rodando colina abajo, hacia una casa, y justo hacia la cesta de Tom. Sin darse cuenta por el cansancio, Tom se acurruca encima del elefante, que está debajo de la manta. El elefante se las arregla para huir rápidamente, y luego chupa la leche de Tom con su camión. Pensando que era Jerry, Tom va a la cocina. Jerry estaba bebiendo leche, pero no era de Tom. Pensando todavía que fue él, Tom se prepara para aplastar su tazón sobre él, cuando el elefante viene a su rescate. Los dos se esconden entonces de Tom en el armario y deciden gastarle una broma: Jerry pinta al elefante para que parezca una versión sobredimensionada de sí mismo...
