恒星炉の実験は見事成功し、ニュースでもその成功が大々的に報道された。だが父親から神田議員の件は七草家が対処すると聞かされていた七宝は、七草家が達也を利用して自分たちの功績にしたと思い込み、通りがかった香澄に鬱憤を叩きつけてしまう。香澄も自分の家に対する侮辱を看過できず、二人は魔法を使った戦闘準備に入るが、その現場を風紀委員に発見され、拘束される。この二人の遺恨を無くすために、達也は試合で勝敗をつけることを提案する。
News outlets were enthusiastically reporting the great success of the stellar furnace experiment carried out by the students at First High School. However, since Takuma Shippou had heard from his father that the Saegusa Family was going to be the ones to deal with Diet member Kanda, he thinks they used Tatsuya to claim credit for the experiment's success themselves. Takuma then takes his pent-up anger out on Kasumi Saegusa, who he happened to pass by on campus. But then, the Disciplinary Committee intervenes before either of them makes their move, and takes them in for questioning.
