Buzz Corry, the Commander of the Space Patrol is in route from the planet Terra to Earth. He is accompanied by Cadet Happy, a new Cadet and winner of the Corry Scholarship. They spot what appears to be a derelict guided missile. As they move to destroy the derelict, its engines fire and the missile launches toward the commander's craft. The missile narrowly misses and changes course to intercept. In reality, the missile is a disguised ""cosmic"" bomb controlled by Major Gorla from his fortress on Kars. The Major is assisted by Matra, an assistant to Terra' Secretary General. Together they plan to conquer the United Planets beginning with the murder of Commander Corry.
Marta enlists the aid of Lt. Krasnoff a disgruntled Space Patrol to steal top secret materials and to destroy Commander Corry. Krasnoff holds a grudge against Major ""Robbie"" Robertson, United Planets Security Chief. Krasnoff paralyzes the Major with a ray gun and disengages the magnetic force control causing Buzz and Happy's rocketship out if control and into freefall seconds before landing.
Cabinet member Baron Von Kreitz hatches a plot to overthrow the General Secretary of the United Planets. The Baron sends Lt. Groat to prevent Commander Corry from delivering a report on Venus to the General Secretary. The information is passed to the Assistant Security Chief Tonga, who is wounded and partially paralyzed and imprisoned in the aft compartment of her space car. She manages to activate the ship's magnetizer, leaving a cosmic static trail. This signal allows Commander Corry and Cadet Happy to track her space car to the Baron's hideout on Earth's moon.
Carol Carlisle, the daughter of the Secretary General, is testing her invention she calls the ""Agra Ray."" The radiation from the device enables plants to reach full maturity within a number of hours. However, the ray may be perverted into a powerful weapon with the capability of turning entire cities into stone. Unknown to Ms Carlisle, her assistant is agent of Prince Greegor of Mercury. The lab assistant steals the Agra Ray and kidnaps Ms Carlisle, transporting them to Mercury, where Prince Greegor plans to threaten Terra, the Capitol of the United Planets.
Due to an extreme food shortage in the Juniper system, Major Robertson and Tonga are to transport the Agra Ray to prevent starvation in the colonies. They are met by the sinister Goron, posing as the Agricultural minister, He leads the to his headquarters at the foot of Cornicus' crater. He plans to steal the Agra Ray to force the growth of the ""ivy of death."" The vines give off a suffocating dioxide which he plans to use in destroying the Unite Planets.
Tonga is dispatched to Saturn's third moon after reports of trouble at the Cosmic Radiation Plant #1. Tonga's investigation leads the dismissal of the hot-tempered Captain Kronk. Kronk avows revenge and Tonga is shot with a shock rifle. Commander Corry and Cadet Happy arrive and rescue Tonga, but they are unable to capture Captain Kronk. However, they do arrest Kronk's assistant attempting to abscond with embezzled payroll accounts from the plant.
Cadet Happy makes his first solo flight to the Jupiter Space Port. Unfortunately, he acquires an unwelcome passenger named Lucky. Lucky is by trade an embezzler who is fleeing with Jupiter Trust Company's funds. To insure Happy's silence and cooperation, Lucky threatened to kill Carol and Commander Corry.
The United Planets Chief Astronomer discovers a planetoid has exploded. He sends an urgent report to Major Robertson at Space Control the debris posses a danger to all space raft in the area. Commander Corry, Cadet Lucky and Carol are returning to Terra from Earth when their space craft is struck by a meteor. They find themselves in dire straights: unable to navigate, unable to communicate, and venting oxygen through a hull rupture.
The owner of six lead mines on the moon Planos reports that an epidemic is spreading through the mines. Berger, the owner asks for assistance from the United Planets. Commander Corry, Tonga and Cadet Happy are dispatched on a rescue mission with the needed serum to halt the disease. However, Burger and his assistant are trying to keep quiet a secret discovery of a rich deposit of Exonium. Captain Happy discovers Leckner tampering with the atmospheric controls in one of the mine shafts. In a struggle with Cadet Happy, he unknowingly inhales a lethal dose of the concentrated bacteria.
Warden Sovak and his head trustee, Erik, have been arranging for prisoners to escape provided they can pay the appropriate fee. The prisoners are lead out through a tunnel which passes under an irrigation canal. After the report of three prisoners escaping the supposed escape-proof facility leads to an investigation. Commander Corry, Cadet Happy and Major Robertson carry out the inquiry.
Happy receives a cosmic ray burn during a routine training flight with Buzz and is confined to the Science Medical Center for treatment. While there, he is abducted by an escaped outlaw scheduled to undergo rehabilitation across the hall from his room. Can Buzz rescue his cadet before the Radurium glove Happy is wearing kills him?
Carol and Tonga's ship malfunctions shortly after take off from Jupiter and their ship plunges to the bottom of Red Lake and trapped below its frozen surface. Can Buzz and Happy rescue the girls before they suffocate?
The rehabilitated Tonga, cousin of the evil Barraccatti seeks Commander Corry's aid in locating a new work position. Buzz suggests she become Major Robertson's assistant but Robbie, unsure of her allegiance, resists. Rather than force his unwilling security officer to accept her, Buzz suggests a test of loyalty.
Still seeking to prove his theory explaining the exodus of the Carnacans, Pop Hanson locates a capsule that contains the indestructible weapon the lost race supposedly left behind. Pop's assistant, Pete, steals the weapon in an effort to blackmail the United Planets into submission. Can Buzz and Happy retrieve the device before all humanity is destroyed?
Buzz and Happy retell the tale of their first meeting with Tonga. They reveal that she is actually a rehabilitated thief who, along with Captain Holt, robbed lunar sightseers while on tour aboard Holt's ship.
When the lost city of the Carnacans is discovered on Mars, Buzz, Happy, and Carol decide to some exploring. While there, they discover they are not the first to reach the southern portion of the city.
An "Honor Farm" inmate uses an "unidentified" deadly weapon to escapes detention by shooting a guard. Can Buzz and Happy locate and apprehend the criminal before more people are hurt?

Cadet Happy is ordered to "meet and greet" two new cadets who are the scions of prominent members of the government. He takes an immediate interest in pretty Joan "Jo" Vance, but Ferris Macklin, the son of the governor of Triton, immediately expresses his discontent with being forced to join the Space Patrol. Their relationship is further strained when Macklin blames Happy for taking Corry's space cruiser through a meteor belt causing a crash landing when he, in fact, disobeyed Happy's orders concerning their course.

He then heads for his secret hideout on Venus with both the Terra 5 and Robbie's ship in hot pursuit. Can the Patrolmen find the elusive pirate, his gang, and the rest of their purloined goods.
Commander Corry has managed to retrieve a vital piece of microtape from a space criminal named Johnson, when he, his prisoner and his wounded cadet, Happy, are captured by a tribe of beautiful Venusian amazons. The women have no use for males except as slaves and, when Corry refuses the office of slavemaster, the criminal, Johnson, is only too glad to accept. He uses his new-found freedom to abduct Happy to force Corry to tell him where he's hidden the microtape.
Commander Cory and the Space Patrol think they may finally have Proteus trapped at one of the plants on Venus. The question remains can they finally capture the man who threatens to bring the whole United Planets economy to its knees.
In an attempt to retrieve his stolen 6 million credits, Proteus sends Estaban to Terra. Buzz first captures and then allows Estaban to escape to trail him to Proteus. Will Buzz and Happy avoid the taps set by the wily master criminal?

Commander Corry and Cadet Happy take the only rocket in the Space Patrol fleet with time-traveling capabilities and pursue the criminals back to the 20th-Century.
Corry and Happy trace Zarra and Groata, two time-traveling criminals, to 20th Century Earth. While trying to pinpoint their location, the Space Patrol men arouse the suspicions of a police detective who suspects they know more about a series of strange events that have occurred recently in his city than they are letting on. Corry and Buzz trace the two criminals to Zarra's bookstore where, under the influence of Zarra's Z-ray, they are forced to reveal the presence of their scout car - the only way they can return to their spaceship orbiting high above earth. While the crooks make their escape, Corry and Happy fear they are marooned in time.
Commander Corry and Cadet Happy pursue time-traveling master criminals Zarro and Groata into Twentieth-Century earth. The crooks help Indians capture Corry and Happy and convince the tribe's chief that the Space Patrol men are evil spirits and must be burned at the stake.
Having now made repairs and left the planet the crew of the battle cruiser are faced with the realization they are now lost in space. As they search for an answer the planet has one last surprise for them.
Commander Corry and Cadet Happy resume their search for the lost treasure of the Carnigans, while trying to avoid a gang of criminals who plan to steal the gold and jewels. Corry manages to unravel one of the Carnigans riddles concerning the treasure's location only to find it leads to another that warns of death and destruction should anyone but a member of that civilization attempt to remove it from its hiding place.
With the city collapsing around them, Buzz and Happy lead the criminals into the the Carnigan pyramid where they are trapped under tons of debris. Can the commander find a way out before the air supply is exhausted?
Agent X is spotted on Venus and Space Patrol give chase. Corey suspects based on the last known location, Agent X is leading them into a trap involving the oceans of Venus.
An invisible entity, Manza, is abducting Space Patrolmen and transporting them to its planet. There it forces them to fight in its defense against the planet's' original inhabitants who have been driven away. Can Buzz and Happy find and then rescue their fellow patrolmen?
When Major Robertson and other members of the Space Patrol are abducted by Manza, an invisible being from a solar system light years from Terra, Commander Buzz Corry and Cadet Happy race to the rescue. While Manza tortures Robbie in an effort to force him to blow up Buzz and Happy, the Space Patrol officers attempt to sneak into Manza's fortress and rescue their friend before he comes to harm. Meanwhile a squadron of Icarians trying to regain their homeland hovers above the planet as they prepare to bombard Manza's fortress with deadly heat rays.
Commander Buzz Corry's attempts to assist the Icarians, a race of humanoids fighting to regain their planet from an invisible tyrant called Manza. His plans are short-circuited when Major Robertson, Cadet Happy and Carol are captured by the being and imprisoned on the planet's surface. Corry goes to the fort where his friends are held to try to rescue them but gives orders for the Icarian squadron to resume their attack on the planet if he does not radio them within 15 minutes that he has achieved his objective.
Space Patrol arrive at Pluto 3 to question and possibly arrest Doctor Kurt, the owner of a sanitarium operating on the planet. A number of patients seem to have had their personalities changed and display unusual loyalty to the doctor.
Buzz and Happy return to Pluto 3 yet again to attempt to arrest Doctor Kurt, but first they have to get passed his 'super' guards.
While Robbie returns the normalized giants back to Terra, Buzz and Happy remain on Pluto #3 to search for Dr. Kurt and Atlas. However, the tables are turned when the Patrolmen are themselves captured and forced to be the quarry in a deadly manhunt. Can Buzz and Happy elude their giant pursuer for long?
Happy is put in danger when a new experimental time traveling space craft is stolen and flown into the past to 1956.
Having located the Terra-5, Buzz and Happy take off in pursuit of the X-RC and its pilots. They track them to the office of Dr. Yates where Stanger and Gregory are seeking medical aid for the radiation received from the atomic blast cloud.
Professor Van Meter becomes alarmed when he discovers a succession of stars exploding and the path of destruction leads directly to Sun. Corry, Happy and Robbie are attempting to determine the cause of the novas when their spaceship is battered by yet another exploding star
Ahyo, the super-intelligent alien whose mission is to destroy our entire galaxy, falls victim to an old-fashioned belt on the button administered by Commander Corry. Ahyo's advanced weapons prove worthless against the fury of Corry's fists when Ahyo attempts his annihilation of the Solar System by sending the planet Terra to collide with the sun.
Aboard the Terra-5, Prince Baccarratti takes over the ship and returns Buzz and Happy to Colonial America of 1692 to be burned at the stake as practitioners of black magic. Can they turn the tables on the Black Falcon?

Having captured Prince Baccarrati and his henchmen in Salem, Massachusetts at the height of the witchcraft hysteria in 1692, Corry and Happy attempt to return clothing they borrowed from a friendly colonist before the woman's husband and son discover the garments are missing. The Space Patrol men are too late, for Goodwife Martin has been accused of witchcraft by her husband, the town magistrate and Baccarrati escapes, planning to maroon Corry and Happy in 17th Century Massachusetts before returning to his life of time-traveling crime.
Robbie's ship is caught in a gravity field while searching for a missing vessel in another stellar system. Buzz and Happy race to his rescue only to be trapped also. Can they escape Arachna's web before the Terra-5 is stripped and melted for its component metals?
Having once escaped, Buzz, Happy, and Robbie must return to Arachna's ring-shapped planet to rescue the remaining prisoners. Disguised as an old miner, Corry again allows himself to be caught in the gravity web but is quickly unmasked by Arachna. Can the commander and his men still complete their perilous mission?
Handcuffed, Arachna momentarily escapes custody and sabotages the Terra-5. Buzz manages to recapture him and blast off in the decoy ship before the ring planet collapses. But will Corry manage to rescue his own ship and its passengers before they are destroyed?
Commander Corry orders Happy to take Major Robertson and the rescued slaves back to Terra while he remains on board a crippled alien spacecraft with a beautiful girl who is in a coma. After Happy takes off, Buzz discovers that the young woman was feigning unconsciousness when she blasts him with his own ray gun. The woman, Yula, and her confederate, Raymo, have created a process where they can replicate any human as an android and, with Corry safely locked away, plan to send his duplicate to Terra to lure the Secretary General to a phony peace conference so they can capture and replicate him.
Yula aids Raymo to escape. Together with the duplicates of Corry and the Secretary General, they blast off for Terra leaving Buzz, Happy, and the real Secretary General trapped behind an electric barrier. Can Buzz and his friends escape in time to prevent the take over of the United Planets?
Yula and her androids, all of whom look like persons occupying key positions in the Federation of Planets, have invaded Terra. Corry and Happy think they've captured the last of them, only to discover that the "ringleader" is really an android of Yula. The real Yula blasts the Space Patrol officers with her ray gun and escapes to create more replicants. Soon androids resembling the Secretary General and chief of Security give orders to capture or kill Corry and Happy on sight and Corry must devise a plan to capture Yula before her androids take over the Solar System.
Commander Corry and his crew investigate a mysterious burst of radiation from outside the Solar System. They trace the source to the surface of a planet whose once great civilization has been recently devastated by nuclear war. When they approach a space station above the planet's surface to search for survivors, their spacecraft is seriously damaged by a bomb and forced to land on the planet's charred surface. While attempting to repair their ship in the unbearable heat, their remaining water supply is stolen by two of the holocaust's survivors.
With the Terra-5 finally repaired and ready to take off from Procyon, Happy and Carol suddenly disappear. Will Buzz and Robbie be able to locate their friends and safely escape the war-ravaged planet?
