Am Ende des Schulfestes tanzen Makoto und Sekai am Lagerfeuer und es sieht so aus als wären sie glücklich und als hätte sich alles beruhigt. Doch Kotonoha beobachtet sie und leugnet hartnäckig was sie sieht und redet sich ein, sie seien immer noch ein Paar. Kotonoha watches Makoto and Sekai dance and kiss in front of the bonfire and obviously upset, begins to cry. The next day on the train, Kotonoha sees Makoto but says nothing about Taisuke the evening before. Taisuke offers Kotonoha two tickets, with values that will be able to buy her lunches for several, but is rejected by her, again being told that she is Makoto's girlfriend. Taisuke is never seen again after this except for a brief scene at the end of episode 12. While she disposes of festival trash, she runs into Setsuna and Makoto. Setsuna forces him to break up with Kotonoha on the spot. Kotonoha threatens to reveal Setsuna's stolen kiss in the classroom, but Setsuna kisses Makoto. Makoto tells Kotonoha that he does not love her anymore, leaving her again weeping as Makoto abruptly leaves the area. Later, Setsuna goes to look for Makoto and overhears him in the gym store room, having sex with Otome. Kotonoha begins to act strangely at her home. Setsuna goes to Makoto's house and tries to get him to remain faithful to Sekai. Setsuna reveals that she hasn't told Sekai anything about finding him with Otome because she does not want to hurt Sekai's feelings. Makoto sees an opportunity and forces himself on her, knowing she has feelings for him. She tries to resist at first, and then consents as long as Makoto swears to break up with Otome. At the Girl's Basketball party, Sekai sees the video from the hidden camera in the "lounge" and sees the footage of Makoto with Otome. She tries to track down Makoto, and soon runs into Kotonoha on the bridge and is told that he is with Setsuna. Sekai notices that Kotonoha's eyes are completely lifeless.
After the end credits, Setsuna is seen in the airport. Despite Makoto's attempts to find her, Setsuna ignores him and recalls the first day of school where Sekai, showing the first hint that she was in love with Makoto, successfully begged Setsuna to switch seats with her. Taisuke est persuadé d'avoir enfin conclu avec Kotonoha, mais celle-ci continue d'affirmer qu'elle est al copine de Makoto. Ce dernier, qui continue de vivre sa vie comme si de rien n'était, est plus où moins contraint par Setsuna de rompre officiellement avec Kotonoha, ce qui laisse la jeune fille désemparée.
Mais le garçon, loin de se satisfaire de Sekai, ne semble vouloir dire non à aucune des filles s'intéressant à lui, n'hésitant pas à prendre les devants quand il le faut.

Después de ser abusada sexualmente por Taisuke, Kotonoha observa a Makoto bailando y besándose con Sekai en la fogata y rompe en llanto. Al día siguiente en el tren, Kotonoha mira a Makoto pero no dice nada sobre lo pasado con Taisuke la noche anterior. Taisuke invita a salir a Kotonoha pero es rebotado diciéndole que es la novia de Makoto. Mientras ella tira la basura que había quedado del festival, corre hacia Setsuna y Makoto. Setsuna lo fuerza a romper con Kotonoha en ese mismo momento, pero Kotonoha amenaza con contarle a Makoto que lo besó mientras dormía, pero antes de que pasara eso Setsuna lo besa en la boca y le dice que no se interponga más entre ellos que están enamorados. Makoto le dice que ya no la ama, y se retiran dejándola llorando en el suelo. Luego, Setsuna va a buscar a Makoto y de casualidad lo escucha a él y a Otome teniendo relaciones sexuales en el almacén del gimnasio. Kotonoha empieza a actuar raro en su casa. Setsuna va a la casa de Makoto e intenta convencerlo que le sea fiel a Sekai, pero terminan teniendo sexo. Makoto le promete cortar para siempre con Otome.
