ケイは『管理局』に依頼して『夢の中の世界』の調査を始める。そこは『片桐穂乃歌』という９年間昏睡状態の女性が持つ『能力』が作りだした世界で、現実の咲良田と寸分違わぬコピー世界だと言う。ケイはそこで相麻菫に関する一つの実験を計画していた。ケイと春埼美空が夢の中の世界に入ると、ミチルという名の少女と出会う。
