The Alola Pokémon League is down to 16 competitors, and Ash and Faba are set to battle! Pikachu lets Meltan take the spotlight—and that it does, winning the match against Faba’s Hypno. Then, Ilima and Kangaskhan take on Guzma and Scizor, but after undergoing Mega Evolution, Kangaskhan falters and is defeated. In the third match, Hau’s Raichu uses speed to overtake Principal Oak’s Exeggutor. Finally, Lana and Mallow face off, but Mallow nearly gives up when she starts falling behind. Lana encourages her to persevere, and Mallow and Tsareena pull off their first Z-Move! Lana and Primarina end up winning the match, but Mallow’s still happy for her friend!

Il ne reste plus en lice que seize concurrents dans la Ligue Pokémon d'Alola. Sacha et Saubohne s'affrontent en premier ! Pikachu cède la place à Meltan pour combattre aux côtés de Sacha et Meltan l'emporte contre l'Hypnomade de Saubohne. C'est ensuite au tour d'Althéo et de son Kangourex d'affronter Guzma et son Cizayox. Mais après avoir méga-évolué, Kangourex faiblit et finit par perdre. Lors du troisième match, le Raichu de Tili réussit à vaincre le Noadkoko du Directeur Chen. C'est enfin au tour de Néphie et Barbara de s'affronter. Dépassée, Barbara est à deux doigts de déclarer forfait, mais Néphie l'encourage à persévérer et Barbara et Sucreine réussissent à lancer leur première capacité Z ! Néphie et Oratoria gagnent le match mais Barbara est heureuse pour son amie !
