El episodio comienza con un combate entre Ash y Shouta, donde su rival muestra nuevos Pokemon, desde la ultima vez que se vieron. La sorpresa fue que el Grovyle de Shouta evoluciono a Sceptile mostrando su rapidez y fortaleza contra el Greninja de Ash, pero al unir sus corazones Greninja supera el poder de Sceptile, sorprendiendo a Shouta y Alain quien estaba observando.
