Und Paul fordert sie sofort zu einem Kampf heraus. Sie nimmt die Herausforderung an. Ein Pokémon-Kampf mit jeweils sechs Pokémon beginnt, der mit einer heftigen Niederlage für Paul endet. Nachdem Cynthia sich bereit erklärt hat, sich um Pauls völlig ausgelaugte Pokémon zu kümmern, vertraut sie unseren Helden ihr Geheimnis an. Sie träumt davon, eines Tages die legendären Pokémon Dialga und Palkia zu treffen. Als sie hört, dass das Weiß-Orb, das gerade in Elyses entdeckt worden ist, mit Palkia verwandt sein soll, entschließt sie sich, sofort nach Elyses zu reisen. Sie bittet Paul, noch eine Nacht mit seinen Pokémon im Pokémon Center zu bleiben. Unsere Freunde setzen ihre Reise nach Herzhofen mit neuen Einsichten und mit dem Gefühl, eine neue Freundin gefunden zu haben, fort.
On the way to Hearthome City, Ash, Dawn, and Brock stop at a Pokémon center. On the TV they watch a battle between Lucian and the Sinnoh Champion: Cynthia. When Ash hears that Cynthia is in nearby Amity Square, he rushes off to meet her. When they arrive at the square, Paul is also there and challenges her to battle. Cynthia agrees and the two begin their battle. However, Paul soon losses four of his Pokémon to Cynthia's powerful Garchomp and calls off the battle. He takes his Pokémon to the Pokémon Center where Cynthia then heals them. Meanwhile, Ash might learn more about Paul and how he treats his Pokémon, while Team Rocket plan to steal Paul's Pokémon.
Sacha, Pierre et Aurore rencontrent Cynthia, la célèbre reine des championnes pokémon de Sinnoh. Ils retrouvent également Paul, qui provoque Cynthia en duel pour un match pokémon. Chacun tirera des enseignements de cette rencontre
Luego de verla en televisión, los chicos tienen el honor de conocer a Cynthia, la campeona de la Región Sinnoh, pero no son los únicos, ya que Paul tiene la oportunidad de tener una batalla contra ella.
ポケモンジムとコンテスト会場があるという、ヨスガシティを目指して旅を続けるサトシたち。道中でシンオウ地方の四天王より強いという、チャンピオンのシロナがこの辺りまでやって来ていると聞く。近くの公園に集まった野次馬をかき分け、シロナの姿を見つけたサトシたち。その目に同時に飛び込んできたのは、なんとライバル・シンジの姿。
シンジは、大胆不敵にもはるかに格上のシロナにポケモンバトルを挑む。余裕で挑戦を受け入れたシロナはガブリアスを、シンジはヒコザルをくり出した！
