Phil möchte tanzen lernen, doch seine Lehrerin entpuppt sich als ausgesprochen unwilliges Geschöpf. Eines Abends steht Cal, der flüchtige Geiger, bei Maurice vor der Tür und eröffnet ihm, daß er in die psychiatrische Anstalt zurückkehren möchte, weil er geheilt sei und formell entlassen werden möchte. Maurice und Officer Semanski übernehmen die Überstellung, die jedoch schon sehr bald wieder in Frage gestellt ist. Chris will derweil tanzen lernen und bekommt eine private Tanzlehrerin, die allerdings sehr unwillig ist. Phil hingegen hat Probleme mit der einheimischen Etikette.
Chris begins taking dance lessons from Marilyn, but she disciplines one of her other students into giving him the lessons only she doesn't want to be seen talking to him, even though they have similar interests. Philip offends Marilyn's mother when he breaks tribal protocols for manners and Michelle confirms his deficiency. Maurice and Barbara travel on a prisoner transport with Cal the violinist to bring him back to the sanitarium; however, along the way she falls under the spell of his violin playing causing her to think about violating the rules and letting him go free.

Zauroczenie kobiety zauważa towarzyszący eskorcie Maurice. Michelle krytykuje męża za brak manier i zachęca do udziału w dorocznym balu. Do imprezy przygotowuje się także Chris. Marilyn każe mu uczyć się walca w towarzystwie pewnej pyskatej trzynastolatki.
Cal, el fugitivo virtuoso del violín, quiere reformarse con la ayuda de Maurice y la oficial Semanski, que se inmiscuye en su empeño. Mientras, las rupturas de etiqueta de Phil ofenden a los habitantes locales; y un juicioso joven en una clase de de danza se mueve al ritmo de un tambor diferente que el de su compañera.
