In dieser Episode prüft das „Mythbusters“-Team eine Alltags-Redewendung auf ihren Realitätsbezug. Konkret lautet die Frage: Kann man tatsächlich jemanden aus den Socken hauen? Jamie und Adam wollen es wie immer genau wissen und aktivieren deshalb ihren treuen Crash Test-Dummy „Buster“. Der hat schon einige kuriose Abenteuer überstehen müssen und kommt immer dann ins Spiel, wenn irreparable Schäden drohen. Um heraus zu finden, ob in dem geflügeltem Ausdruck ein Körnchen Wahrheit steckt, muss Buster auch diesmal jede Menge einstecken.
