物語は、中学での最終大会を終えて柔道をやめる予定だった園田美智が、親友の滝川早苗に高校で柔道を続けるように誘われるまで続く。

Judoka depuis de nombreuses années, Michi Sonoda se donne corps et âme afin de parfaire sa technique dans cette discipline qu’elle affectionne tout particulièrement. Pourtant, lors de la finale d’un tournoi inter-collèges, son adversaire, Towa Hiura, prend l’ascendant sur elle, ce qui contraint la jeune fille, dépitée, à abandonner le judo. Aspirant à profiter pleinement de sa nouvelle vie de lycéenne, elle rencontre par hasard Towa dans le dojo de l’établissement, qui la supplie de rejoindre le club afin d’empêcher sa dissolution, faute de membres. Quel choix fera donc Michi ?

Для Санаэ такие новости как снег на голову, ведь именно Мити привела её в секцию дзюдо. Однако план Мити терпит крах, поскольку на турнире она с позором проигрывает Тове Хиуре, которая, как выясняется позже, перевелась в ту же школу, где учатся Мити и Санаэ.

Depois de um último torneio e uma derrota embaraçosa na rodada final, Michi decide desistir do judô. Entre as atividades sociais do ensino médio e os exames de admissão, ela não terá tempo para competir na arte marcial que mais ama, mas deixar de lado velhos hobbies é uma parte normal do crescimento. Ainda assim, o amor pelo judô persiste, e volta com força total quando ela conhece sua nova colega de classe Towa, a garota que derrotou Michi em sua luta final! Towa quer formar um clube de judô em sua escola, mas precisará de novos membros para colocá-lo em funcionamento. Unidas pelo amor ao judô, elas vão jogar suas paixões no ringue e marcar ippon novamente!

Nachdem die Oberschülerin Michi die Finalrunde eines Judoturniers spektakulär verloren hatte, beschließt sie schweren Herzens, den Sport endgültig an den Nagel zu hängen. Immerhin hat sie auch so genug damit zu tun, für die Aufnahmeprüfungen der Universitäten zu lernen und mit allen anderen Herausforderungen umzugehen, die sie in ihrem Alltag erwarten. Doch dann taucht ausgerechnet Towa an ihrer Schule auf, das Mädchen, von dem sie an jenem verhängnisvollen Tag besiegt wurde. Towa versucht, einen Judo-Club an ihrer Schule ins Leben zu rufen und bittet Michi nicht nur darum, mitzumachen, sondern auch noch weitere Mitglieder zu rekrutieren. Wird Michis Leidenschaft für den Kampfsport erneut entfacht werden, oder bleibt dafür in ihrem Leben kein Platz?

故事講述「園田未知」為了得分的快感，國中三年持續練著柔道，卻在最後的大賽上敗北打算放棄。但在摯友「瀧川早苗」和「南雲安奈」，以及競爭對手「冰浦永遠」的慫恿下，決定升上高中後繼續柔道之路。
