Auf dem Weg nach Ishbar geraten Ed und Al in Streit darüber, ob sie Scar aufhalten oder lieber der Wiederherstellung ihrer ursprünglichen Körper den Vorzug geben sollen. Währenddessen trifft Winry an Hughes' Grab zufällig Sheska. Die Bibliothekarin hat inzwischen auf eigene Faust Nachforschungen über Hughes' Tod angestellt und auch eine Hypothese dazu entwickelt.
After crashing the vehicle Winry left them, Ed and Al are forced to continue their journey to Ishbal on foot. The brother's tempers flare and they end up separated in a small town. Meanwhile, back at Central, Winry and Sciezka join forces to find the cause behind Hughes death.
Ed et Al ne semblent plus avoir les mêmes priorités. Doivent-ils arrêter Scar qui se prépare à fabriquer la pierre philosophale? Ou faut-il d'abord qu'ils récupèrent leurs corps? Voltando para o Quartel-general, Winry descobre o que houve com Hughes. Com a ajuda de Sheska, que havia reunido o material investigado por Hughes, ela pretende descobrir a verdade dos fatos e saber qual é o mistério envolvendo Juliet Douglas. Mas, ao interceptarem a linha telefônica para chegar ao seu objetivo, as duas acabam sendo notadas.
Después de chocar al carro, Winry los deja y Ed y Al forzosamente continúan su viaje a pie para Ishbal. El humor de los hermanos destelló y terminaron separados en un pequeño pueblo. Mientras tanto, atrás en Central, Winry y Sciezka unen sus fuerzas para encontrar la causa de la muerte de Hughes.

Wanneer Ed, Al en Winry elkaar even niet willen zien na een ruzie, komt Al een bekend gezicht tegen en besluit Winry samen met Sheska de moord op Hughes te onderzoeken.
