All over the country real life Del Boys are on the make. For these wheelers and dealers, every item, no matter how unlikely, is for sale. When it is time for fresh stock, they head to so-called 'Trash or Treasure' auction houses, where they sift through lost property, repossessed goods and house clearances in an attempt to discover the lot that can transform them into millionaires. Richie and Nikki have been playing the auction game for the last decade - trading in everything, but specialising in gold. At a pre-auction viewing day they spot what looks like a valuable silver coffee set. Can they win the lot in the face of tough competition from the local big-player? And will the picture illustrations they win be as valuable as Nikki hopes? Auction addict Sharon has given up a steady job working in a chemist to become a professional trader. Alongside long-suffering husband Al, she's now turned their house into a stock room filled with all manner of junk. The couple have scrapped together a few thousand pounds from their trading but now Al, fed up with the small-time, wants to gamble all of their savings on a second hand Porsche. Ieuan works in a supermarket in Pontypridd, South Wales. He dreams of being a millionaire and spends all his spare cash at the local auction buying and selling anything he can make money on. He spots what he thinks is a valuable Rolex watch. Will it be his ticket to a new life as a full-time trader? In Braintree, Essex, Brian comes from a long line of rag and bone men. He makes a good living buying and selling all sorts of junk no-one else wants. A house clearance contract nets him a three-cornered cabinet he thinks could be worth tens of thousands.

All true wheelers and dealers dream of discovering the item which will change their lives forever and South London trader Ernest thinks he's found it. He believes a bronze chess set, which he bought at an antique fair in Kent, is an original piece by three of the nation's most renowned sculptors. Convinced he's got hold of an undiscovered national treasure, Ernest thinks the chess set could be worth as much as £10 million. Auction regulars Sharon and Al from Essex are the king and queen of low-end novelty goods and they sell their weird and wonderful stock at car boot sales. They decide to leave the world of plastic flashing bunny ears and artificial snowballs behind for a weekend away in France where they attempt to clean up at a local auction. There's only one problem - they don't speak a world of French between them. Del girls Stevie and Denise from Canterbury dream of turning rags into riches selling the second-hand clothes from suitcases which they bid on at Greasby's, a well-known south London auction house. The girls dream of opening their own shop and head up to the auction hoping to land some designer labels. Essex trader Steve is embarking on a career as a wheeler dealer after 25 years in the building trade. After a patchy start to the world of buying and selling, Steve takes his first trip to a big London auction, where he hopes to land a German helmet from the Second World War

In Lancashire Danny Sebastian has been trading for ten years. His buying has been outstripping his selling for a long time, and his late mum's house - which serves as his warehouse - in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, is now bursting at the seams. Danny's come up with a radical plan for turning the lot into ready cash: a house auction. Having spent his life around auctions he fancies himself as an auctioneer, but can he turn the auction fantasy into a profitable reality? Six years ago meningitis left Toni isolated and disabled. She became a trader specialising in watches and jewellery and fought her way back to become one of the biggest players at her South London auction house. Now she wants to expand and is training up an apprentice. When the pair spot a Rolex watch it could be the crock of gold that will transform their future. Most dealers turn to trading to make ready cash, but not all. In the Yorkshire dales Vicky lives comfortably in a beautifully-refurbished farm house with husband Roy. She's been a stay-at-home housewife for twenty years. Now, with itchy feet and children flying the nest, she's desperate for a new life as a proper trader, turning her insatiable appetite for a bargain into a real job. She's searching for a profitable outlet for the ever-growing mountain of stock that's taken over her garage. Normal jobs don't work for Alan, so for the last ten years he's made a living as a dealer. Alan has a unique way of working. Most traders research their buys, but Alan doesn't like to, he trusts the alarm bell that goes off in his head when he sees the object he will bid on. Will his latest throws of the dice - an old violin and a collection of Laurel and Hardy statues - pay off?
