France

All true wheelers and dealers dream of discovering the item which will change their lives forever and South London trader Ernest thinks he's found it. He believes a bronze chess set, which he bought at an antique fair in Kent, is an original piece by three of the nation's most renowned sculptors. Convinced he's got hold of an undiscovered national treasure, Ernest thinks the chess set could be worth as much as £10 million. Auction regulars Sharon and Al from Essex are the king and queen of low-end novelty goods and they sell their weird and wonderful stock at car boot sales. They decide to leave the world of plastic flashing bunny ears and artificial snowballs behind for a weekend away in France where they attempt to clean up at a local auction. There's only one problem - they don't speak a world of French between them. Del girls Stevie and Denise from Canterbury dream of turning rags into riches selling the second-hand clothes from suitcases which they bid on at Greasby's, a well-known south London auction house. The girls dream of opening their own shop and head up to the auction hoping to land some designer labels. Essex trader Steve is embarking on a career as a wheeler dealer after 25 years in the building trade. After a patchy start to the world of buying and selling, Steve takes his first trip to a big London auction, where he hopes to land a German helmet from the Second World War
