Spike's daughter, Emma, is now a teenager and is getting ready to participate at Degrassi, along with her friends, Manny and JT. Spike and the old gang of Degrassi are reuniting for the first time in a while, and people are familiarized with the characters again. When Spike goes off to the reunion, Emma left as well, to meet a guy that she had become online friends with on the Internet. Manny phones Emma and even checks by her house, and realizes that there is no one home. She decides to go to J.T. and his friend from summer camp, Toby (a whiz with computers). They hack into Emma's e-mail and discover that the guy Emma is going to meet may be dangerous.
Emma is at a hotel waiting for Jordan, an enviornmentalist whom she met on the internet. After waiting in the hotel lobby, his ""teacher"" greets Emma and invites her up to his hotel room, saying that the person Emma is supposed to meet should be coming soon. Emma soon discovers that the teacher is the boy she met on the Internet. She freaks out and attempts to leave, but he stops her so she scurries into the bathroom. The teacher tells Emma that he is leaving, but it is actually a trick. He has a video camera, and plans on taping himself raping Emma. Toby, J.T., and Manny dash to the reunion and tell Spike and Mr. Simpson about the whole situation and how Emma is in danger. They hurry to the hotel room and rescue Emma before anything extremely dangerous happens. In the end, though somewhat disturbed, Emma learns her lesson and the bond between her and Spike grows even closer.

While Spinner was attacked by an earwig when he received his lunch and he announces that the cafeteria food was infested by bugs, but no one believed him because the bug had vanished, when someone had stepped on it. So, he decides to throw earwigs around in the cafeteria but he was caught in the act and was paunished by working with the lunch lady with the food preparation and serving. Emma secretly started a rumour with her friend about Mr. Armstrong and Liberty, but another student had overheard what she said, and passed it on. Then the word was spread all over the school, changed dramatically to become more interesting until the point where everyone thought the teacher and the student were ""doing it"". Jimmy and Spinner receive detention with Mrs. Kwan. At the end of the day, the two trouble-makers decide to go and cause trouble to Mrs. Kwan. When she is teaching English-as-a-second-language course to adults, they make a prank phone call that Mrs. Kwan wants to order a number of pizzas. Then when she is ready to leave, she finds that her van was vandalised. This was the work of Jimmy and Spinner. Soon, when Kwan is missing the next day for class, they discover that she was under a lot of pressure, especially when her husband was ill. Meanwhile, Emma and Sean finally accept each other's offer on going on their first date. When Sean arrives, things start going horribly wrong. Spinner and Sean seem to be stressed to know that the exams are up. So stressed, Sean is ready to take on Jimmy. While the fight occured, Sean ""accidentally"" pushes Emma to the ground which leads to breaking up with him. Meanwhile, Spinner tries to get himself out of school by stealing Terri's flu. It actually ends that both of them get good marks.
At the end of the year a little girls night at Ashley's turns into the party of the year. Toby invites Sean and JT as his guests and JT has a little ""party favor"", he's brought extacy. When Sean tells them he's going to the kitchen to split the pill into 2 so Toby and JT can take it, he runs into Ashley. He switched the extacy with asprin and gives the extacy to Ashley telling her to throw it out. Meanwhile, Paige is pressuring Ashley to have more fun so Ashley takes the extacy. She then calls Jimmy and his friends and Jimmy quickly discovers Ashley is high. JT and Toby also invited Emma and her friends over so Emma and Sean fight. Sean is heartbroken. In the season premiere, major changes face the kids as they return to school from summer break. No longer just a junior high, Degrassi is now sharing space with the high school crowd. Among the new students is Craig Manning, the charming but mysterious stepson of Degrassi alum, Joey Jeremiah. Although Craig's father has forbidden him from seeing Joey and Angela, Craig can't seem to stop himself. Craig is good at covering up the physical and emotional bruises caused by his dad, but Sean and Emma suspect something's wrong. Emma feels uneasy when Mr. Simpson offers help on her science project at the school's science fair and Manny mistakenly lets the entire school know that Emma's mom is dating Mr. Simpson. Paige meets Dean, a star soccer player at Degrassi's rival school and the two share an instant attraction. After her recent sexual assault, Paige can not bear to hear it and walks out on the band, leaving Ashley confused. When Ashley confronts her, Paige breaks down and reveals the truth. Snake and Spike are only two days away from the wedding. Emma styles her hair, only for it to turn out worse than she thought. Spike and Snake have an argument about having a baby in which Snake reveals that he's not ready for a child. Spike later finds out that she is pregnant...and plans to have an abortion. Snake has a bachelor party in which Joey invited a stripper. Emma catches J.T. and Toby spying on ""Fancy"" outside Joey's window on her way to tell Snake about the baby. Spike finds out that Emma told Snake, and they end up having a long discussion that makes them late for the wedding. The wedding goes on, and so does the reception afterward. Emma makes up with Sean and they kiss in the end.
Just as things seem to be going good with Ellie & Marco, Marco questions his own sexuality. He tries to stay with Ellie to hide who he might really be, but Ellie puts the pieces to the puzzle together and finds out his secret. She promises not to tell and invites Marco to a Gay/Lesbion group at a local church, but he tells her he's not ready for that kind of thing yet. Meanwhile, Toby is all over Kendra. It seems to sort of be a Craig-Manny relationship. Toby is always having a good time, but Kendra needs he time & space. JT the class clown gets in trouble and spends the week afterschool with the hot science teacher Ms. Haztilakos but along the way he finds that she is a person not just a hot teacher and he earns her respect. Jimmy and Spinner are starting to tell the truth forever and end up with unexpected results.
Jimmy invited Ashley to come to his party in ""Message in a bottle"" and she didn't know why. Now they become friends again but decide that they grew to far apart for anything else. Ashley considers changing the new gothic her to get back with Jimmy but decides its not worth it if she can't be herself. Mean while JT and Toby learn about condoms in sex ed class and JT convinces toby that they should be prepared and stock up on them. Spinner finds the condoms in Toby's locker and tells kendra. Neither of them trust toby anymore.
Liberty can't believe that she didn't make the Girls's hockey team. So, when the coach asks her to be the team manager, Liberty puts all her energy into it. She ends up challenging the boy's basketball team to a game to get new uniforms sponsored by Jeremiah Motors. During the game Liberty becomes too much for the team so they quit. Liberty has to find a way to get the girls back into team spirit. After reading Paige's palm, Terri is freaked out. Paige has no lifeline! Her days are numbered! Paige and Hazel discover Terri has made a mistake, but they decided to have some fun with her.
Emma has been protesting GM(Genetically-Modified) foods for a long time, and she decides to take it to Mr. Raditch. When he tells her that the school can't afford it, and that they haven't been proven to be harmful, she decides to inform the students anyway. When Mr. Raditch finds out, he shuts down her informities. When Emma sees a documentary on the cafeteria, she tells the students to boycott the caf, but it ends up in a food fight, suspending Emma for the rest of the day. When she is interviewed for the Grapevine, she keeps going with her protests. Mr. Raditch gives her an ultimatum: Either apologize or be suspended for a week. She decides to keep going anyway. Spinner has his eye on a new designer shirt, but it costs too much for him. It's not enough that Jimmy is getting $1000 worth of stuff for a ''belated birthday present.'' When Spinner sees Jimmy's MP3 player, he decides to pawn it, ending their friendship.
Paige has been seeing a guidance counselor for six months and has finally stopped blaming herself for the rape. But she soon learns that Dean is returning with Bardell for a basketball game. Paige decides not to show up to cheer for the game. JT comes outside and asks her what is wrong and she tells him what happened. JT goes back inside and pushes Dean around trying to beat him up. Dean is suspended from the game and JT is sent to the principal's office. Soon Paige tells Spinner what happened and he follows Dean outside and pushes him against the school bus but Dean walk to the bus. Paige tells him straight out that she is coming after him: for real.
Final year exams are coming up and Craig is having trouble with science. The year-end dance doesn't seem to have much affect on him, since he knows he wants to ask Ashley (she does say yes). But there's one problem: his dad wants to tutor him, and hang out more often. Craig agrees to visit him at home for tutoring, and have dinner with him. But things at Joey's start to get harder, and Craig's dad wants him to move back home. Craig's dad convinces Craig that he has taken counciling and he can control his anger now. But then Craig's dad hits him again.
After Craig's dad storms off, he gets in a serious car accident and dies. Craig feels a huge relief with his dad's death and the end of the school year. Everyone thinks he should care a little more about his father's death. Paige, Spinner, Hazel, and Jimmy are competing for Luau King and Queen. Craig enters him and Ashley into the competition.
Grade 9 starts and Emma's mom is 9 months pregnant. After Emma has been mistaken at school for being Snake's daughter, this inspires her to find her birth father. When she asks her mom she says no. But Emma goes on the internet to find his address. She finds it then the next day in school she cuts class with Craig to find him. The first place she goes to turns out to be the wrong address. Then she and Craig return to Emma's house and find the real address. They take the subway to Stouffville to find him. Ending up at a doctor's building Emma sneaks upstairs and goes to the room. She opens the door and faces her dad with a big surprise.
Emma is in the room with her dad and she finds out he is brain-damaged. She tells him she is Emma and she embraces him but soon the nurse discovers she sneaked upstairs even though Craig was keeping the look out. So Emma gives him her address so they can write to each other. Joey has to drive to Stouffville to pick them up and Spike isn't happy when she gets home. Emma tells her mom off for lying to her. The next day at school Snake tells Emma that Spike didn't tell her to protect her. Meanwhile Shane shows up and makes a horrible racket at the house while Spike goes into labor.
Manny's ready for a major image upheaval. She's sick of being cute. She's sick of being adorable. She's ready to be hot. Meanwhile Manny takes her own advice when she discovers that Craig's at the rave too – without Ashley. When Emma finds out how far Manny's willing to go to get what she wants, it's the final straw in their friendship. Spinner and Jimmy are both in trouble with their math grades so they ask Marco to tutor them during a Friday-night study session. Spinner's discomfort with Marco's homosexuality soon has him misinterpreting all of Marco's behaviour and he ends up convinced that Marco has a crush on him.
Terri's in heaven-- not only does she have a terrific boyfriend, the wonderful, romantic Rick, she also has the lead in a school play! Rick's being really supportive, offering her some helpful performance advice (his mom's an actress at Stratford!). But Hazel doesn't find Rick's advice helpful at all. She thinks Rick's controlling and abusive. When Hazel raises her suspicions with the rest of Terri's friends- and Terri starts coming to school with cuts and bruises- she convinces Terri that Rick is far from the perfect boyfriend. Meanwhile, Liberty convinces J.T. to ask Manny to the semi-formal and he does but when he sees her with Craig he starts to get second thoughts.
It's the end of the year at Degrassi. Jimmy wants the last dance experience to be perfect for his date and friends before he leaves for the summer, so he treats for dinner and a limo. The limo is a huge disappointment and the driver (played by Billy Ray Cyrus) gets arrested while the kids are having dinner. The bill for the dinner includes the charges for the lunch Paige and Spinner stiffed them on in an earlier episode. When they finally get to the dance, the place is on fire - literally. Sean is failing his classwork from all the late night partying, but Mr. Simpson gives him a last chance to make it up. Feeling guilty for stealing his laptop, Sean comes clean, but getting Mr. Simpson's forgiveness is not easy, until he has car trouble and Sean offers to repair it for only the cost of the parts. Joey asks Caitlin to move in, but she has to take care of business first.

After being fired from the DOT it seems she'll never be able to pay Spin back for what she did to his car, but that's not all she may have to worry about as Hazel shows her some convincing photos of foul play. Spinner and Jane have plans for next year - she'll start pre-law and he'll attend police college. When he doesn't get in, he can't bear to tell her, so he lies. Jane catches him and starts to wonder if her future includes him. Clare gets invited to the dance by both K.C. and Connor. When it looks like their struggle for her attention will jeopardize Robot Wars, she decides to go with neither. Alli gets an anonymous rose but after asking Anya who it was, she reveals that is was Johnny who sent her the rose. When Alli asks Johnny to the Valentine's dance, he rejects her saying he can't go with her because she is a "niner" and his friends will tease him. Meanwhile, Kelly and Emma reveal their feelings for each other and go on a date.
Desperate to win Jane back, Spinner sneaks into the Leadership Convention Jane is speaking at and proposes. When Jane turns him down, Spinner breaks up with her, but when Jane realizes she needs Spinner in her life, she worries she won't be able to win him back. Later Johnny shows up at the bot wars, and admits that he does like Alli and she persuades him to come to the dance. Clare goes to the dance with Connor to avoid hurting his feelings, but when she dances with K.C., the person she really wanted to go with, she hurts Connor anyway. Johnny shows up to the dance to Alli's pleasure. He also gives her, her first kiss and the two begin a relationship from this episode on.
Degrassi has won their first football game, thanks to Riley. He's suddenly become stronger, and tells Peter he is taking steroids. Riley goes on a date with Anya, only to repress his being gay. His old friend from three years ago appears, trying to get closer to him. Riley's becoming more and more violent, and severely hurts Sav. Peter confronts Riley, and Riley tells him about his childhood dreams about being a star athlete, having lots of friends, and a girlfriend. Peter tells him he could still be a star athlete and have lots of friends; being gay doesn't change that. Meanwhile, Danny sets up Leia and Derek up on a date after Derek begs and Danny realizes he likes her. Derek says it's fine, and Danny and Leia get together.
The Shep wins Principle of the Year award. Clare gets mad after the Shep continually mistreats Connor. After she and their friends stick up for him, they all get detention. After Alli gets annoyed with Connor for tapping his pencil, Connor spits in her face. Alli breaks his pencil and Connor pushes Alli to the floor, causing expulsion. When Clare finds out Connor has Asperger syndrome, she realizes that Shep still will not treat him any differently. She confronts him, saying he only likes jocks, and Shep calls Connor a freak, and Clare a little bitch. When the award ceremony comes on, they show the video of Clare and Shep's argument, and the school goes against him. This also angers the board of education (and Connor's parents who threaten to file a lawsuit) and Shep almost loses his job due to the video. Instead he is suspended from his position and is ordered by the board to go to sensitivity training in order to avoid being fired because of union rules. Sav's parents understand he wants to date, but he has to marry a Muslim no matter what. Anya leaves, but the next day, Sav tells her that he would still see her, and that he doesn't care what his family says.
After Holly J. humiliated Alli by asking Johnny in front of his friends if the two were in item he told Holly J. it was a lie. Alli is then pushed to the edge by Holly J., Alli creates an "I hate Holly J." group and begins posting nasty things about her on her "Facerange". When nasty turns to hateful and then to threatening, Alli is suspended from school and questioned by the police. Holly J. refuses to go back to Degrassi, and Alli is forced to apologize. After Anya talks to Holly J, Holly J. decides to go back to Degrassi. After remembering how neglected he was as a kid, Peter tells his dad he's a terrible father.
The Shep has returned after his sensitivity training and it’s Spirit Week at Degrassi. However, spirits are anything but high at home for Jane as she struggles to get her dropout brother Lucas off the couch. Despite Jane’s efforts, Jane’s mom believes Lucas could benefit from some father/son time. Jane doesn’t want her father in her life. Her friends and family don’t understand why she hates him. Truthfully, neither does Jane. Danny’s new girlfriend Leia has a problem – she doesn’t fit in with Danny’s friends and lies compulsively to avoid them. Her chance to impress Danny’s posse arises at a co-ed sleepover at Peter’s pad. After she lies and says she knows Fall Out Boy, her lying gets her too far when she takes the group to the Fall Out Boy concert. When they won’t let them in, the group says they won’t believe Leia anymore. The next day, Leia apologizes to Danny and he forgives her but Peter, Mia, Sav, and Anya still can’t trust anything Leia says.
Jane admits to herself that her issues with her dad go deeper than the divorce – she thinks maybe he did things to her. Jane is very confused and feels alone. Lucas gives Jane a hard time for creating tension between mom and dad. But when Lucas finally sees the truth they stand up to their father. Meanwhile, Alli persuades Clare to get a new wardrobe to impress boys. Only problem, Clare is getting more attention from boys. Can Alli handle not being the only hot gifted niner? When K.C. tries to make her feel better, Alli kisses him which she regrets.
Emma starts doing pot to get rid of her "plain girl" image. After ingesting marijuana brownies and forgetting to take her insulin, Becca goes into a diabetic coma and has to be taken to the hospital. While in class, Emma learns that the campus cops are doing room searches. She calls Kelly to get rid of the marijuana brownies. When Kelly is leaving the room, he runs into campus cops and they find the marijuana brownies. He gets kicked out residence but is still allowed to go to school. K.C. is found to be living in a group home because of his previous life in juvie.
Alli will do anything to keep Johnny from looking elsewhere. After hearing about his "history" she decides to have sex with him, losing her virginity, thinking that it will make their relationship stick. Afterwords she feels uncomfortable around him and decides to break up with him. Johnny later then tells her that he was also a virgin and that his "history" were all rumors. The two get back together with their relationship stronger than ever. Also Peter has been in touch with Darcy which leaves Mia concerned with their relationship. She confronts Peter about the letters from Darcy and asks him if he still has feelings for her. Frustrated that he doesn't have an answer she leaves him. The next day Peter tells Mia that he still loves Darcy but he's in love with Mia. Mia in turn breaks up with Peter telling him that the fact that he couldn't say who he wanted to be with when she first asked him was enough to break up with him.
Stress is at an all time high at Degrassi with exams approaching and course selections due for next term but Mia's failing English and will have to re-do it unless she can ace her final assignment - a public speech on where she sees herself in five years. One problem - the speech is due tomorrow and Mia has a photo shoot tonight. Struggling with a foot in two worlds, Mia bombs her speech. Unwilling to give up the benefits of modeling money, Mia chooses to drop out of school to model full time, but after talking with her mom she decides to go back to Degrassi, realizing that her education will ultimately get her through life, whereas modeling is only a temporary career.
Blue asks Holly J. to the winter dance using a romantic presentation during class, but she has a crush on her co-worker, Spinner, and she says she has to work. The truth, however, is that it was her night off, and she only wants to spend time with Spinner at the Dot Grill. When Holly J. and Spinner are alone in the Dot after work, a former Lakehurst student comes into the Dot with a gun. When Blue comes to the door, Holly J. is forced to answer and she spells out "gun" in the fog on the window. Spinner eventually gets shot by accident after the student didn't intend to come in there and hurt anybody. In panic, Holly J. reveals her feelings for Spinner. She then convinces the shooter to come out of the Dot with her, and Spinner gets rushed to the hospital with Jane by his side. Spinner says to Holly J. that if it would not have been for her, he would be dead; he had heard everything she said, but reminds her of his relationship with Jane. Holly J. leaves and shows up at the dance, where the entire room applauds her bravery. She dances with Blue and finally informs him of her financial difficulties, which is why she didn't go to the concert with him. He calls her "Holly" and they continue to dance, Holly J. smiling in his arms.
When Mia is offered a MAJOR modeling contract in Paris, Peter decides he'll go with her. But he soon realizes he doesn't fit into her sophisticated world. At a posh party, feeling frustrated and insecure, an unlikely guest offers an escape, snorting something. Soon enough, Peter's 'trip' goes terribly wrong. Back at Degrassi, Alli is concerned when new girl Jenna focuses on becoming Clare's friend. There's no way this is going to end well - and no way Alli's going to let it...
Holly J. enlists Anya to fake a pregnancy in order to make Sav quit the election. However, Sav uses it to his benefit and vows to Anya that he will be there for her while she's "carrying" his child. Alli makes a "Biggest Losers" list and puts Dave at the top as revenge for her being low on the hottest Degrassi girls list. Fiona tries to deal with her problems with Bobby.
Fiona confides in Declan about the truth about Bobby, but Declan has doubts. With advice from Holly J., Declan sides with Fiona when he sees her bruised leg and advises Fiona to press charges against Bobby. But Fiona runs back to Degrassi. When Anya comes clean to Sav that Holly J. talked her into faking a pregnancy, to make him drop out of the election race, they team up to use the sympathy card, now that everyone knows about the "pregnancy". Meanwhile, Jenna overhears Clare and Alli's conversation about surgery, and misinterprets it as breast enlargement surgery, when Clare was really was talking about being a candidate for laser eye surgery. The election race ends and Sav ends up winning by 17 votes, and Fiona's mother tracks her down to Degrassi. After having a heart to heart about the situation about Bobby, Fiona's mother tells her that together they will hire a lawyer.
Mrs. Sauvé suggests that Holly J. takes an SAT prep course, but due to her family's financial difficulties, she can not afford it. Meanwhile, Fiona convinces her mother to let her stay in Toronto, to be with Holly J. Envious of Fiona's free spending of money, Holly J. uses the password Fiona told her in confidence to get into Fiona's bank account, and "borrows" $2,000 in an attempt to pay for her SAT prep course. She ends up feeling guilty and breaks down to Fiona about the situation, but Fiona becomes upset. Holly J. apologizes, promising to pay her back somehow, and Fiona forgives her due to the fact of their lack of friends, and they only have each other to rely on. Meanwhile, Clare finds out about her rumored boob job, and that Jenna was behind it all. Clare confronts Jenna, and puts her in her place. Anya lies to the school to save face, and says that she had a "miscarriage". Sav lies to his mother about why they were alone together in the house, and Anya breaks up with him.
Riley competes against eleventh grader rookie Drew for the first quarterback position on the football team. Zane also signs up to join the team, much to Riley's discomfort. However, Drew overhears Riley and Zane in the gym talking about Riley's sexuality, and Drew then threatens to tell the whole team about it, unless Riley backs down from competing for quarterback. Alli tries out for the power squad to be in the popular crowd, but finds out how tough Chantey is. After she doesn't make it, she becomes upset, until Clare suggests she start a club of her own. Meanwhile, K.C. is becoming more popular with the girls after joining the football team, and triggers his girlfriend, Jenna's jealousy.
Riley and Owen play a prank on Drew by tying him to the school's flag pole. Drew does not tell anyone who it was, even though he knew, in order to have another thing over Riley, in order to get the starting quarterback. Alli makes a dance crew for the popularity. However, her plan to create her own dance crew backfires, leaving her alone. Meanwhile, Jenna looks at K.C.'s phone, fearing that he was talking to other girls, and finds out the K.C.'s mother is trying to get a hold of him, now that she is out of prison.
K.C.'s mother shows up, despite his attempt to avoid her. She tells him she had an apartment, and is seeking custody of him. After a talk with his social worker, he is still unconvinced she is a changed person, and searched her apartment when he's invited over. In English class Clare is assigned a work partner, Eli, who convinces her to break out of her shell, and express herself. Meanwhile, Alli asks Dave how to ask a boy out. Dave who is still crushing on Alli, thinks she is talking about him. Dave tells her to throw a party, and with her parents and Sav out, she does.
K.C. wakes up with Bianca and Fitz, after a night of drinking, and he is still mad at his mother. At first he tries to legally stay at the group home, but after an intervention about his behaviour, he changes his mind, and decides to stay with his mom. Fearing that her parents may get a divorce, Clare is encouraged by Eli to write a letter to her mom, for English class. She does, but is hesitant to tell her mom. Meanwhile, Alli is having trouble getting Drew's attention, after their night of making out.
Sav wins four tickets and backstage passes to a concert in Hamilton. After his dad does not let him go, Holly J. and Sav decide to hold a 'Hands on a Car Body' contest for the tickets, using his dad's truck. The contest ends with Eli and Adam splitting the four tickets. When unloading the truck, an amp falls into the tail light of the truck. Not having anyone to give their extra tickets to, Eli and Adam give theirs back to Sav. He sells one to Bianca to pay for the new tail light. They then ask Sav to if he can take his dad's truck to the concert. When Sav tells his dad the tail light got smashed, he says Sav can not go to the concert. Fiona's mom has left town and told her to see a therapist. Fiona makes plans to spend time with Holly J., but her schedule is too filled to spend any time with Fiona. Jenna got a new uniform for the Power Squad calendar shoot, but she can not fit in it. She thinks that she's getting fat, and tries to working out. After, Bianca told the power squad that she can get fat absorbing pills, and Jenna asks her to get some.
Sav decides to send his parents out for the night, and take his dad's truck to Hamilton for the concert with Adam and Eli. This does not work however, when his parents return home before they are back, and report the truck stolen. Resulting in Sav not only getting a ticket for speeding on the way back, but driving a stolen truck, and being grounded for two months. Bianca also gets a record for under aged drinking, since she could not find another way home. Jenna decides to take diet pills in order to lose weight, but the side effects eventually catch up with her at a photo shoot practice, before she accepts her body, and orders a new uniform. She finds out in a later episode, that she is actually pregnant. Meanwhile, Fiona is feeling lonely enough to buy a small pig. Holly J. comes to her rescue after she realizes how not having friends has affected Fiona.
Holly J. starts worrying that Declan is cheating on her with Vanderbilt girls when he tells her he is planning a weekend trip to Yale, and finds pictures of him with another girl on Fiona's computer. She tries to find a job, to relieve her financial woes, but decides to fly to New York to be with him. When he insists she stay in Toronto, Holly J. decides to break up with him, and does it on his voicemail when he does not pick up his phone, only to find him at The Dot. Wesley and Connor convince Dave to form a band, The Three Tenners, in order to score with the ladies, but find out Dave is not a great singer. Meanwhile, Fitz's bulling is getting worse, and Eli, with Adam's help, draw a truce with him, promising a fake ID. However, they produce one with the name of a person on the list of Canada's Top 10 Wanted.
Holly J. rethinks her relationship with Declan when he asks her to come to New York with him but she still cannot because she has SATs planned for the weekend, and she has to help her parents move. Things get even worse between the two, when Declan starts offering her money, to relieve her problems, and they get into a fight, resulting in their break up. Eli give Fitz the fake ID, and calls the police when he has it, resulting in Fitz getting arrested, and not ending the bullying. Meanwhile, The Thee Tenners record a demo, and Dave gets auto-tuned to sound better. At first he hates the truth about his bad singing, but then accepts the band's new sound.
Alli wants to be in an official relationship with Drew, but when she writes a paper for him, he does not want to be with her anymore. Sav and Holly J. work together on a dance for Above the Dot, when Mr. Simpson cancels the Band Slam, and Sav starts to have feelings for her. Meanwhile, Connor is staying up all night, and playing an online role playing game, where he has met a girl.
Alli tries to ignore Drew but when Drew tries to move on, he realizes he likes Alli. When she refuses to take him back, he does all he can to get her by doing what she wants. Sav and Holly J. continue to work on the dance, and become closer. At first Holly J. is worried that Sav is just a rebound boyfriend, but they decide to keep each other company for their last school year at Degrassi. Connor sets up a meeting with the girl, but Dave and Wesley convince him not to talk to her when they see she is a much older lady.
Adam develops a crush on Bianca during a ballroom dancing lesson in recreational gym class. When the two begin to flirt with each other, Bianca discovers Adam's concealed breasts while playfully pushing him on the chest. Perturbed, Bianca concludes that he is a transboy and outs him to Fitz and Owen, who react violently. Adam's transgender status is revealed earlier in the episode when he is seen binding his breasts and again when he comes out to Eli and Clare after Clare sees him drop tampons from his locker. Adam's mother pressures him to dress up as "Gracie" (Adam's birth name) for his grandmother's impending visit. Leia leads Anya on to think Anya's mom is having an affair, but her mom tells her that it is worse. Dave tries to get Miss Oh to laugh at his jokes but she will not budge.
Adam feels pressure to detransition from his mother and his fellow students. He decides to dress up as Gracie for supper with his grandmother. He then starts to live as Gracie again and begins to burn himself. It is revealed that Adam has resorted to self harm to cope with his gender dysphoria in the past. After Clare catches him burning himself, she convinces Adam to stop trying to please everyone else and resume living as a boy. Adam's mother decides to accept him and joins Eli, Clare, and Drew in burning Adam's "Gracie" clothes. Anya struggles to deal with her mother's cancer, and sabotages a school project with Holly J. and Sav, which Holly J. took as being mad about them being together. Meanwhile, Dave is still trying to get the attention of Miss Oh, and finds out she just broke up with her boyfriend.
Jenna auditions for a talent competition, The Next Teen Star, but is still concerned about her growing belly and other symptoms. After getting into the top 24, Alli successfully convinces Jenna to take a pregnancy test, since she admitted not always using protection with K.C., her boyfriend. The test is positive. Connor meets the lady he met online again at a gaming store, but Wesley and Dave interrupt causing her to leave. Meanwhile, Zane tries to convince Riley to be concerned about the homophobic comments in their football team, but Riley avoids all of them, and spends time with Anya.
Jenna must deal with her biggest fear, being a teen mother. With her parents out of the picture, and just her brother to rely on, she seeks comfort in K.C., only to find out that he expects an abortion. After finding out she is already 20 weeks along, and it is unsafe to abort, she breaks up with K.C. Although Connor gets his computer privileges suspended, he contacts the women, and she meets him after school. In her car, she gets too personal with him, and he leaves. Meanwhile, Anya and Riley are both attracted to the same doctor, and when they determine he is straight, she convinces him to talk to Zane again.
The homophobic comments in the football dressing room get worse, and Riley starts to see how it affects Zane. Anya convinces him to attend a dealing with homophobia discussion, and he realizes that he hates himself and is taking it out on others. Riley decides to teach the football team to be sensitive to other's feelings, only to have it backfire with a vandalized locker. While acting out the last scene of Romeo and Juliet for english class, Eli gives Clare mixed signals of his feelings toward her. When she tries to confront him the next day, he indicates that he has no feelings for her. Meanwhile, Wesley signed up to be an eligible bachelor for an auction to raise money in hopes that his crush Anya will bid on him. He tries to have Drew help him to be cool, so he can impress Anya, in exchange for tutoring.
Riley upsets Zane again when he takes things too far with Owen. His intentions were to show Owen the homophobic comments will not be dismissed, but Zane sees that Riley is just being violent and he doesn't like it. After Zane is put in danger, Riley realizes what Zane said, about violence not being the solution, and tries to win Zane's forgiveness when he bids the most on Zane at the bachelor audition. Riley agrees not to fight any more, winning back Zane's trust. Claire uses Adam to help understand Eli and find out why he has been giving her mixed signals. She finds out where Eli lives after forcing Adam to tell her using guilt. Claire confronts Eli at his house, and Eli decides to tell Claire the truth because he doesn't want to continue to hurt her. Eli drives Claire to a spot in town where he reveals is where his ex-girlfriend had died on the way home, by getting hit by a car while riding her bike, from an argument they had. Eli blames himself and tells Claire that he doesn't want that to happen again and that was the reason why he was giving her mixed signals. Meanwhile, Drew tries to teach Wesley to be more confident, but with no one bidding on him at the auction, Anya bids on him for two dollars and wins him, making Wesley happy, even though no one else bid on him beside Anya.
Fiona becomes stressed when she has to record her testimony against Bobby, and self-medicates by drinking champagne, rather than taking the prescription her therapist gave her. Initially Holly J. is worried that this will affect the parent's decision on a Vegas teamed school dance, but the theme goes ahead. After a good date with Zane, Anya again asks Riley when he is going to come out. He decides to run for king and queen for the upcoming school dance, but when the nomination list is released before the last football game, he decides to confirm his sexuality with his teammates, and Drew defends him in the following harassment. Meanwhile, Adam is feeling rejected by Eli, now that Eli is in a relationship with Clare. Adam decides to befriend Fitz despite Eli and Clare's warnings.
Holly J and Sav manage to convince Mr. Simpson to ignore the PTA ruling to cancel the Night in Vegas dance by promising to keep the event trouble free. Drew is suppose to go with his girlfriend Alli, but when Bianca steps in with a proposition he can’t refuse, his relationship with Alli is put to the test. Meanwhile, Fitz promises to end his fight with Eli on one condition – Clare must to go to the dance with him. But when Eli refuses to back down things get out of hand putting the fate of Degrassi Community School in jeopardy.

After Holly J. tells Adam about Fiona's previous drinking problems, he ignores it, and believes that Fiona loves him without being drunk. When Fiona goes to far with the champagne, he, along with the support of Holly J. and Fiona's mother, takes Fiona to an intervention, where she agrees to go to rehab.
It is spring break for the students of Degrassi. Drew breaks curfew to attend a Keke Palmer concert with his girlfriend, Bianca. There she meets an ex-boyfriend, who is involved in a gang, and he takes her to an alley. Drew catches him trying to rape Bianca, and in the ensuing altercation, Bianca knocks him out, and loses her bracelet. Sav meets Palmer on the street, not knowing it is her, and she invites him to the concert, and then on stage with her. Fiona's vacation plans are scrubbed, and she instead attends an art class with Holly J., where she asks out the model.
Drew and Bianca find out that the gang member was killed, and she convinces him to keep quiet. When looking for Bianca's lost bracelet, she and Drew are told by another gang member, Vince, that they are going to be killed. In order to be kept safe, Drew finds out he must shoot someone to enter the gang. He then considers the situation, and turns himself into police. Sav, now with a crush on Keke Palmer, meets up with her, and she decides to elude her entourage with him. In a later video chat, Keke tells him she does have feelings for him. Fiona takes her date to her loft, where things move too quickly for Fiona, but they decide to first be friends, and then move on from there.
Clare cannot figure out why Eli has no feelings after their breakup. She then meets Jake, a transfer to Degrassi, and the son of her mother's friend. He helps her realize that it is her who still has feelings, and needs to deal with her relationship with Eli. The next day, Eli tells her he is taking anti-anxiety drugs. Jenna is overwhelmed with the baby, and gets mad that K.C. is not helping. After dumping the baby on him, they decide Jenna and Tyson should move in with K.C. and his mother.
Anya turns eighteen, and hopes to start dating a 26 year-old doctor, while Owen continues to flirt with her. She finds out the doctor will be in Africa for a year, and has sex with Owen at her birthday party. K.C. continues to struggle to be there for Jenna, and help with the baby, in the end he gets a job at Little Miss Steaks. Connor, struggling with his Asperger syndrome, shows an interest in girls, and steals a pair of Fiona's underwear, while attending a party. Drew meets with lawyers about the night he reportedly killed a gang member, and his mother continues to tell him Bianca is bad news for him.
After Drew is unable to get an erection, when he is trying to have sex with Bianca, he admits that he is still thinking about Vince, and the gang that is out to kill him. When Drew becomes distant with Bianca, she has sex with Vince, hoping he would leave Drew alone, and Drew would appreciate her again, but instead Drew breaks up with her, and gets beaten in a public place. Owen begins bragging about his one night stand, and Anya accidentally makes a public post on the internet that it was her. After disregarding what others think about Owen, she decides to go on a date with him. Connor continues to steal women's underwear, starting with Miss Oh's.
Dave and Adam vie for a position on the school's radio system, and Sav ends up giving them a two man show. When Adam is in the washroom trying to observe Dave's urinal stance, Dave mistakes it for a peak at his penis, then later when Adam tries to use a stand up to urinate device, Dave is curious, and Adam drops the device. Dave takes his frustrations to the radio show the next day, posing the questions if trannys should enter the boy's washroom, offending Adam. Fiona joins the grade 11 drama class, but instead skips school to spend time with Charlie. Clare writes a newspaper piece hoping to join the newspaper, but is overzealous, and does not get in because she wrote more than Katie had asked for.
Dave sees the school turn on him, but continues to ask why Adam should get special treatment. When he attempts to enter the girl's washroom wearing a skirt, he gets into a fight with Adam. Principal Simpson gives them both detention, and Adam likens the transgender issue to racism, which causes to Dave to give a formal apology. Clare continues to bag Katie for a position on the newspaper, and when Sav intervenes, Katie invites Clare to join, but gives her the job of following the school play. While Fiona tries to reach out to a distant Charlie, she gets the directing position of the play, and invites Charlie to live with her.
Eli, trying to write the school play, encounters writer's block, and meets the outlandish Imogen. K.C. works at a restaurant, and does not have time for Jenna and Tyson. Jenna gets upset when she hears he stayed late to party, Marisol's idea. Riley's mother still has not accepted that he is gay, so when she sets him up on a date with a girl, the date convinces him to keep acting straight.
Eli, with encouragement from Imogen, quits his anti-anxiety medication. He is able to have emotions, and writes the school play. Riley feels pressure from his parents to be straight, and asks Zane to act along, but decides not to put him through it, and breaks up with Zane. K.C. decides his job is keeping him from school and family and must quit. However, Marisol gets him a raise, and the two mutually flirt.
Not being accepted into her first university choice, Anya feels pressure from A student Holly J. and partying boyfriend Owen to make the right choices. To try to get away from it all, Anya decides to do cocaine. Fiona discovers bed bugs in her loft, and assumes it is her new roommate Charlie's, and in turn they learn about each other. Connor claims his girl underwear fetish is over, and plans to make a phone app for girl's clothing, but gets caught in the women's washroom.
Anya attends an interview to get her accepted into another university, but when it does not go well, she takes cocaine, and becomes erratic. When Anya does not get the university acceptance, she continues to take the drug, and defies her mother. Fiona struggles in telling Charlie her previous problems with alcohol, and learns she is still unable to be around it. Alli recognizes her clothes in Connor's app, and tells Principal Simpson, Connor was in the girl's washroom. Simpson suspends him, and he attends an academic behaviour program, to help him deal with his Asperger syndrome.
Jake and his father are helping Clare's mother with home renovations, and Clare sees Jake shirtless. Clare can not keep her mind off how handsome he is, and wants to start a relationship, but hears he asked Katie out. When talking about their parents, they decided to keep it casual. Drew is suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder when trying to fit back into school, he cannot handle the people at school, and asks his mother to move. Dave tries to convince himself that it is alright to be friends with Alli, but when he has to lie to his girlfriend about seeing her, he reconsiders.
Clare finds out her father cheated on her mother before they divorced, causing her to question her casual relationship with Jake. After she decides to be exclusive with Jake, they find out their parents are dating. Drew considers moving, which upsets his younger brother, Adam, when he can not handle the stresses at Degrassi, but instead takes up ultimate fighting (mixed martial arts). Dave's feelings for Alli intensify, so he decides to be truthful with his girlfriend, causing her to dramatically break-up with him.
Holly J. starts to look for a kidney donor within her family, and when she finds out no one has the same blood type, she starts to suspect she was adopted, which are proven true. Adam is attracted to Katie, and thinks she may be reciprocating this feeling, but when Marisol says otherwise, he worries about his female appearance. Imogen wants to play the role of Clare in the school play, so she begins shadowing her.
Holly J. finds her birth mother, and after mustering the strength to ask her to be a kidney donor, she asks Holly J. for $20,000. Adam worries that Katie is not attracted to him, because of his growing breasts, he asks to have surgery, but is too young, and instead wears a compression vest. Imogen has feelings for, and continues to flirt with, Eli, but she receives nothing in return.
Jenna struggles to find a way to attend Degrassi again, so K.C.'s mother agrees to watch the baby, Tyson, in the mornings. Jenna leaves Tyson unattended, and he falls off a table. Sav, with a crush on Miss Oh, competes to write the score for the school play. He wins, but is blackmailed into working with his competitor. When Clare finds out Eli has hired Jake to construct sets, she worries Eli is out to harm Jake.
Jenna and K.C. get a visit from child services, after Jenna finds out K.C. has been cheating with Marisol at work. Their arguments grow as K.C. continues to leave Tyson with Jenna, and they decide to break-up, and put Tyson up for adoption. Sav's love song to Miss Oh is leaked to her, and thinking things have been ruined between the two, Sav attends a concert, where he meets Miss Oh on a friendly basis. Clare is concerned Eli is jealous of Jake, but after reading the school play, she finds out Eli has made her character the hero.
Drew continues to train in mixed martial arts, with the mindset that he would be ready if anyone were ever to attack him. The news of unsupervised fighting gets to Principal Simpson, and he closes the weight room to unsupervised activities. Alli tries to sell Dave to her parents, but he feels that the presented self is not him. Holly J. finds out exchanging money for organs is illegal, and her birth mother is still not willing to give up her time and kidney for Holly J.
Drew continues to increase the intensity of his fights, hoping to distract him from his fear of being beaten. At an illegal fight club, a fight goes to far, and is stopped by Katie. Drew's new girlfriend then teaches him to direct his skill into taekwondo. Dave returns to Alli's parents, as himself, and her father takes a liking to him, but with a warning. Holly J. continues regular meetings with her birth mother, and when Fiona buys her old prom dress for $20,000, she agrees to donate her kidney.
Eli's unstable, off medication self, convinces he can start up a relationship with Clare, but everyone else, save Imogen, just find him crazy with the multiple script changes. K.C. and Jenna interview a couple to adopt the baby, but K.C. has second feelings when the prospective parents says they are not into sports. Anya continues her cocaine addiction, as she tries to find a career path, she sees an advertisement for the Canadian Forces.
Despite Imogen's efforts, Eli is obsessed with getting Clare back, to the point of framing Jake for drug possession. His feelings erupt at the end of the school play, in an improvised monologue, saying there are no happy endings in life. Anya's army application is rejected when she fails the drug test, and her secret is revealed to her mother, but she continues to pursue this career path. K.C. and Jenna give up their baby, Tyson for adoption.
Alli plans a date night in order to tell Dave she will be gone for the summer, and Dave presumes he is going to lose his virginity. The miscommunication causes Dave to stop talking to her, until she buys him NBA tickets with her poker winnings, which she obtains by card counting. Wesley is threatened by another male student, when he joins him and his girlfriend in a science project, Wesley then lies about driving to impress her. Bianca is threatened by a gang member into peddling drugs at Degrassi.
Alli finds an underground poker group, and becomes addicted. A game becomes too intense, and Dave must call his father to breakup the game, and ultimately the two. Wesley is pulled over while driving without a driver's permit, but his girlfriend remains by his side. Bianca becomes friends with Imogen.
Katie keeps her relationship with Drew secret from long time friend Marisol, which makes Marisol upset when she finds out. After Katie calls Marisol a home wrecker at a student council rally, Marisol reveals to Drew Katie's bulimia. Eli returns to Degrassi with some counseling, but is unable to apologize to Jake. Sav and Miss Oh flirt over music.
The rumors of Katie's bulimia circulate around Degrassi, and she worries that she will lose the presidential election. However, when it appears that the relationship between Katie and Marisol will end, Marisol says that the bulimia rumor was made up, winning the election for Katie. Eli helps Jake and Clare confess their love for each other. Sav's and Miss Oh's flirting continues, resulting in a trip to the principal's office, however they both seem interested.
After Holly J. and Anya gets dates to prom, Fiona hopes to ask Charlie, her ex-girlfriend to the prom. She finds out that Charlie has a girlfriend, and she only wants to be friends with Fiona, this leads to a relapse into drinking. Anya is accepted into the army, and begins physical training with her ex-boyfriend Owen, leading to his interest in her again. Katie's assumes that the prom night with Drew will lead to sex, and begins preparations.
Drew sees Bianca with the gang member that orchestrated his beating, and finds out that she has been dating him to keep Drew safe. Drew decides to meet him, and says the debt is done, although not reciprocated. Clare and Jake keep their relationship secret from their parents, until the parents announce their engagement. Now that school is done, Sav hopes to have a night alone with Miss Oh, but is unable to.
The Degrassi students attend prom. Drew invites his ex-girlfriend, Bianca to the prom, and things are awkward with his current girlfriend Katie. Riley and Zane talk for the first time since their breakup, Riley tells Zane his mother accepts him. Clare talks to Jake about how their parents marring will affect their relationship, and he breaks up with her. Vince, the gang member comes to fight Drew, when that fails, a gun is pulled, and Adam, Drew's transgender step-brother, is shot in the shoulder. Miss Oh and Sav both find out via text message, as they have snuck away to Degrassi. Bianca decides to shoot Vince, but Drew talks her out of it. They call the police and Vince and his gang are arrested, The next day the heat between Miss Oh and Sav is still there.
The Degrassi students return from a summer of activities a week before the new school year. Jake and Clare are still not talking, and their parents wedding sends Jake looking for space away from Clare. Katie is concerned that Bianca has been spending too much time with Drew, and Alli returns to Dave to find out he has cheated on her. Jake invites Katie, Drew, Marisol, and Alli to his remote cabin for a summer ending event, when Clare finds out, Bianca agrees to drive her. Clare arrives to find Alli kissing Jake, and runs into the woods, Jake and Drew follow, but Eli finds her first. Marisol freaks out when strange things start to happen, and Bianca keeps making references to horror movies. Marisol and Katie decide to relax with some weed Marisol found in the couch, but the two become paranoid in a shed. When repairing Clare's wound, Jake admits he still has feelings to her, the night ends with Clare and Jake's parents checking in on the party. The following morning Clare and Alli separate as friends, Katie becomes more comfortable with Bianca around, and Clare's and Jake's flirtation returns.
Fiona is nervous about making new friends in her new class, and decides to hold a party. After the apprehension of Imogen attending, a truth or dare game leads to a prank at Degrassi. Clare's and Jake's secret relationship grows, and Clare begins to consider having sex. Maya shows a liking to Zig, but past classmates Tori and Tristan warn her about Zig.
The grade 12 class decides to let Imogen take the blame for the overnight cafeteria prank. When Fiona feels bad for Imogen, she decides to come clean, but Katie and Marisol stick to their story, and Fiona's and Imogen's friendship returns. When Clare tells Jake she is ready for sex, Jake begins to worry about the commitment he is making. Maya asks Zig to let Tori have closure from their past relationship, but it backfires, and Zig begins dating Tori again.
With Drew cheering on, Katie is going through tryouts for a national soccer team. After a girl, who Katie previously injured, trips her, her knee becomes injured, and is told not to exert her knee. Katie takes codeine from her mother, who is wheelchair bound with MS. Jenna is still taking the break up with K.C. hard, and her poetry class inspires her to write a song. Tristan becomes worried Zig is taking Tori away from him.
With a stressful day at school, Katie takes her mother's codeine during the day, despite sister Maya's warnings. Katie's knee gets too warn out before the soccer tryouts, and she requires surgery and recovery before being able to play again. After ex-boyfriend K.C. overhears Jenna's song about him, he writes a poem making Jenna's character a monster. Jenna keeps her song about how she is over K.C., and it is widely received well. Also at the coffee house, Tristan decides to sing without the Tori-Zig couple, but the two decide they will stick together, and Tristan does not get booed off the stage.
Clare finds out Jenna has stolen another ex-boyfriend, Jake, whom he has invited to his birthday supper. When diving into vampire fiction is not enough of an escape, and her father does not have room, Clare moves in with a group of friends she had previously met. Connor makes it on to the football team, but has trouble fitting in, especially with Mo. Fiona continues to hang out with Imogen, but when she realizes she has feelings for her, Fiona decides Imogen should date Eli.
Clare continues to find comfort in the group of friends she has found a home with, and they continue to encourage her away from her past life. She finds out they run a marijuana growing operation, until it is broken up by police; Jake's brotherly commitment convinces Clare to move back home. Connor poses as a girl online, in a prank for Mo to skip a football game, to be stood up by a girl, but the two reconcile. Fiona makes a surprise date for Eli and Imogen, which at first turns them off, but then they decide to start dating.
Imogen and Eli's relationship grows, and Imogen models an art piece off Eli's bipolar disorder, after learning about the disorder. This initially angers Eli, and he becomes more obsessed over Imogen. K.C. becomes interested in the baby he and Jenna gave up for adoption, while Jenna does not. Tori gets on the power squad, but is kicked off for being late to rehearsal, she then becomes the mascot.
Eli believes Imogen is spending time with another guy, and confronts her while she is confiding in Fiona. Worried this is another episode, Eli visits his therapist, who tells him he is a normal teenager, and Eli and Imogen's relationship recovers. K.C. learns that he will not be involved in the life of his son, and learns to be more responsible. When Tori makes Zig realize he does not compromise for her, he becomes the mascot, and Tori returns to the power squad.
Dave and Alli get back together, when Dave joins a model UN with Alli. Dave's summer fling, Jacinta, tries to reconnect with him, Dave calls her a stalker, and tries to remove all connection with her. Adam, with an LGBT button on his backpack, begins to receive notes from an admirer, Tori explains it is a friend of her's, who is interested in Adam. Marisol teams with Mo to enter the model UN.
Jacinta ignores Dave's rejection at the model UN, straining his renewed relationship with Alli. While trying to escort Jacinta to the train station, she runs off with his phone, and is hit by a car. Adam meets his blind date, Tristan, and after some encouragement from Clare, Adam give Tristan a pep talk for coming out. Marisol realizes she has feelings for Mo, and the two share a kiss.
Bianca's life has turned around, she's cleaned up, and is getting better grades. Drew's girlfriend Katie befriends Bianca, but only for her connections to drug dealers. Marisol is embarrassed being seen with Mo, and Mo is nervous to create the perfect date. Alli becomes concerned when Dave spends time with Jacinta.
With Katie away, Fiona and Imogen think it is the perfect opportunity to get revenge. They come up with a end of semester idea, a carnival. At first Marisol rejects them, so Fiona goes to Mr. Simpson and gets approved. Mrs. Coyne faces major financial trouble. After the entire newspaper staff takes an early vacation Clare decides to run the paper and must rebuild bridges with former friends to make sure the paper gets done. Maya has trouble with the band as she feels she is better than everyone else.
When the Coyne's finances are frozen, the semester ending event runs into funding problems, and Fiona considers leaving Degrassi. Fiona decides to sell her stuff, the event is a success, and Fiona and Imogen share a kiss. Working on the school newspaper, Clare and Eli are talking again, and also share a kiss. After Maya considers auditioning for a band at a bar, she decides taking up the trumpet will be the challenge she is looking for.
Mr. Simpson starts off the term with an assembly where he announces the school is getting rid of its uniform policy. He also introduces the new junior hockey team, with most of them being new students. Dallas, captain of the team, is staying with Drew and Adam. Meanwhile, Drew finally breaks up with Katie, saying that he cheated on her with a girl named Courtney. Katie’s upset, but it leaves Drew free to finally date Bianca. Dallas and Adam decide to throw a party since the Torres parents are out of town. Drew gets drunk and Katie makes an appearance because she wants them to get back together. They go upstairs to an empty room and in a bid to reunite Katie has sex with Drew, who afterward, ends up passing out in front of everyone.
While nursing a hangover, Drew doesn’t understand why Katie thinks they’re back together. He finally realizes that he slept with Katie, and feels the pressure from Bianca to make sure things between the two are officially kaput. Dallas and Adam tell Drew he needs to be straight-forward with Katie, and he does so: he breaks up with her again and tells Katie the truth about Bianca. He also tells Katie that Bianca doesn’t know they had sex, and that Katie shouldn’t tell anyone they did. Drew and Bianca enjoy their time alone at the mall, but run into Katie and Marisol. Tension is high as Katie walks away without telling Bianca what happened, and Drew tells Bianca to not listen to anything Katie and Marisol might tell her.
Katie hopes to get a fresh start, but is still angry at Drew and Bianca. She decides to expose the secret of her and Drew losing their virginity to the school thus finally freeing herself. Eli learns that Principal Simpson approved Becky's play idea, a musical, as opposed to his drama. Tristan develops a crush on Campbell, a hockey player new to Degrassi, and poses as Maya online to talk to him.
Drew tries to win back Bianca, by entering the academic wiz team, but his concussion symptoms are revealed. Drew explains his MMA past to his mother, and tackles a shoplifter at the mall, not helping his situation, but winning back Bianca. Eli and Becky continue to clash while casting Romeo and Juliet, when Becky labels Tristan as "confused", Eli changes the two leads to homosexual males. Tristan tells Campbell he was posing as Maya, causing Campbell to become angry at both of them.
As Tori and Zig's four month anniversary approaches, Tori pressures Zig for an extravagant event. However, Zig is poor and can only put on a show with the help of Maya. Dave has trouble becoming a gay Romeo, and Eli gives him the convincing he needs. Fiona returns to Degrassi, but Imogen is not as excited. Fiona joins student council.
In order to pay for his date with Tori, Zig steals money left in the open by Student Council. He has a change of heart, winning back Tori at the school dance. When Fiona paraded her relationship with Imogen around school, it scared Imogen, but Fiona learns that Imogen needs to be eased into this. The hockey team learns that Dave is playing a gay character in the upcoming play, and Dave reacts badly until Eli talks to him.
Alli finds out that she can finish school a year early, and get an exclusive place at MIT. However she does not know if she is sick because she is nervous, or pregnant due to skipped birth control pills. Jake decides to forego college and work for his father, as a carpenter, but finds he must convince others he knows green carpentry. Rookie hockey player, Campbell, has trouble fitting in with the team, and does not like Dallas' encouragement to find a girlfriend.
Alli goes to a doctor for a pregnancy test, and decides if she is pregnant she will not stay with Dave to have a family. Dave breaks up with her, and not being pregnant, Alli decides she will be more committed to school, than Dave. Jake tries to construct a roof top garden, at Degrassi, with the help of Katie, rather than his father, he learns he still needs the help. Campbell snaps at Maya, on the day of a game, he becomes sick and emotional in the washroom, however he wins Maya back after the team wins.
Jenna meets Becky, and she invites Jenna to her home, without mentioning the Christian group there to meet her. Becky pursues a relationship with Jenna, but it is Becky's attractive brother, Luke, that Jenna is most invested in. Clare receives advise from her mentor, but when she turns down Connor's, he publicly posts her comments on Twitter. Drew finds schoolwork difficult, with his concussion, but a job at the mall seems natural.
Jenna is baptized, in hopes that is all it takes to be with Luke, but he remains uninterested. Becky hears about Jenna's true intentions, and after prayerful consideration, Jenna becomes a stronger Christian. Clare feels humiliated by the Tweets her classmates make about her, she begins trending in Toronto, but accepts the criticism, and overcomes it. Drew skips school to accept the job, and when his mother disapproves, he moves in with Fiona.
Clare pitches some news ideas to her mentor, and he asks for more original ideas from her, to define her, however he takes the school play idea, and interviews Eli. Clare convinces him to let her write it, not seeing that her mentor is very interested in her. K.C.'s mother becomes involved with his life, and friends, he and Bianca decide to set her up with their teacher. Maya and Campbell go on their first date, but chaperone Katie slows them down.
Clare's mentor apologizes for the night before, and she only confides in Alli. He sexually harasses her again, but because he reported that she was in love with him, Clare has no proof, and she decides to suffer alone. K.C.'s mother and teacher are both interested in each other, but the night ends with the news that K.C.'s father will be released from prison early. Maya has another date with Campbell, but she starts to appear interested in him becuase he is an athlete, they talk, and share a kiss.
Campbell feels he is letting his hockey team down, and decides to fake sick to miss a practice, and be with Maya. The team finds out he was singing karaoke, and Dallas makes him skate until he collapses. K.C.'s father is out of prison, and is showing that he has changed himself, getting a job, and flirting with K.C.'s mother again. Fiona's loft is a mess, both she and Drew blame each other.
Campbell continues to consider his hockey performance, and when he plays right wing, he becomes a hockey star. The attention overwhelms him, and he begins to consider self harm and leaving hockey, Campbell does both by jumping off a catwalk. K.C. realizes that his father is a bad influence on his mother, and when he shows up at their home drunk, K.C. and his mother decide to move to Vancouver. Drew teaches Fiona to be humble, and how to clean.
Imogen designs an intricate and expensive set for the school play, and asks her mother, who she despises, for money. Fiona meets Imogen's father, who has problems remembering things, like driving over the family dog. Katie likes Jake, but is convinced it is not mutual, instead Dallas catches her eye. Becky tries to interfere with the play's ticket sales, by asking for donations to less fortunate.
Imogen is over stressed, with losing her dog, Eli pressing to complete the set, and a relationship with Fiona, she decides to skip school to take care of her father. Imogen's father's health worsens, and Imogen finds out he has dementia, she then decides to let her mother be a part of their life, and returns to school. Jake admits he likes Katie, and the two start dating, Dallas trashes their garden. Becky feels bad for upstaging Adam's ticket sales, and retreats, finding out he has a heart, before finding out he is transgender.
Becky realizes she has feelings for Adam, and asks him to volunteer for student council with her. She worries what her parents will think, and decides to invite Adam over, without mentioning that he is transgendered. Eli struggles to write a story for his film class, and smokes marijuana after learning Jake has taken it up. Drew asks Bianca to not tell his mother that they are engaged, when they do tell her, she does not take it well, and the couple walk away.
Becky tells her parents Adam is transgender, and they believe that they can change him. Becky struggles between a relationship with her family and God, and a future with Adam, choosing her parents. After coming off the high, Eli realizes that his film is terrible, and Clare helps him make a new film. Bianca talks to Drew's mother about their relationship, and Bianca thinks Drew's mother does not see her a right choice for Drew, Bianca decides they need to get married sooner.
Tori and Maya become enemies as they compete against each other in a beauty pageant, and after breaking up with her boyfriend, Maya and Tori's boyfriend Zig develop feelings for each other. Maya and Zig share a kiss, but after a talk with her sister, Maya realizes her wrong doing, and makes up with Cam and Tori. Adam's nose gets broken in volleyball practice, and his mother finds out, she decides it is time for Adam to see a doctor about getting a prescription fortestosterone. Marisol accuses Mo of taking street drugs, but finds out he is hiding hisdiabetes, the two argue, but make up.
Alli is overloaded with her school and volunteer work, and cannot find the time for Dave. She and Dallas sneak into a swimming pool, and Alli asks Dallas for pills that will keep her awake. To be the lead in Eli's latest film, and to catch the eye of another boy, Tristan wants to lose weight and be fit. After yoga does not work, Tristan decides to cleanse. Imogen's mother disapproves of Fiona.
Alli takes pills that keep her awake for a week, worsening her health and relationships. After she mends the feelings between Dallas and Clare, Alli and Dallas drive to a concert, crashing on the way. Tristan loses weight, and gets a date, but suffers a heart attack when trying to work out. Fiona bonds with Imogen's mother more than Imogen.
Adam learns that he was played, and Whisper Hug gets disqualified from a battle of the bands, after he hits another musician. Adam meets with his idol, Chaz Bono, the band is re-entered, and Becky and Adam commit to each other. Zig wants to break up with Tori, but Tori finds out first, and Maya decides she wants to remain with Cam. Clare and Jake sit down with their parents, about their double standard, and things are resolved.
Cam is worried Zig will take Maya away from him, and starts a fight with Zig in a ball hockey game. Dallas lays on the pressure of hockey success, he makes up with Maya, and Zig calls him a psycho, causing Cam to have emotional highs and lows. Clare moves her stuff into Eli's locker, and Dave likens it to a marriage, leading Eli to read Clare's journal. Dallas continues to pursue Alli, who makes him realize he is a bully.
Cam commits suicide in the school garden, and everyone reacts in their own way. Maya tries to focus on music, but her sister, Katie, convinces her to speak at the candlelight vigil. She learns to grieve, and becomes friends with Tori again. Dallas blames himself, drinks, and considers jumping off the school's roof, but Fiona talks him down. Eli tries to work through seeing Cam's body.
Eli has nightmares about Cam, and tries to forget what he saw in the garden, burying himself in video making. This does not help, and he goes to a party with Mo and Jake, which just increases his anxiety. Katie and Jake are still awkward with each other, Katie hangs out with Maya's friends, and is still recovering from the events in Las Vegas. While avoiding Luke, Jenna makes a date with Connor.
Eli tells Clare he took MDMA (ecstasy) at the party, which causes her to worry even more about him, thinking he needs to talk through his issues. After taking MSD again, and streaking through the school, Eli comes to realize that he does not need to talk about what he saw to everyone, and breaks up with Clare. Katie and Jake are friends again, and advocate the garden to be reopened. When Luke sees Jenna with Connor he gets jealous, reminding her of his ways, and when Connor has an outburst, Jenna has doubts, but decides that she wants to keep dating Connor.
Clare has a serious dilemma that will affect her entire future and confides in Alli. Zoë sees red when Becky tells her she’s too much of a distraction for the power squad team. It’s time for Zoë to bring Becky down, literally. Miles and Tristan are getting close, but with his campaign in full swing, Mr. Hollingsworth is worried his son’s behaviour could damage his political prospects. An upset Miles decides to take annoying his father to a whole new level.
Drew's not taking the easy way out - he's going to be part of his child's life, whether Clare wants it or not. Mr. Hollingsworth thinks he can buy Miles' support and crafts a plan to protect his image. Zoë is over being judged by everyone and when she senses this from Zig, it's time for her to make a hard decision.
Frankie thinks it's unfair that girls are expected to show their bodies to men with nothing in return. This gives Zoë the perfect fundraising idea. Maya doesn't want to remain silent when she knows one of her friends is in trouble. Becky isn’t the bubbly sunshine-y girl she used to be. So who is she now?
The Degrassi and Smithdale U students venture to Los Angeles. Despite issues at home, Ellie and Marco venture to L.A., as well, to visit Paige, who is now an assistant to an A-list reality TV star. Ellie then reunites with Craig, causing a reconnection between each other but bad timing and Ellie's guilt over avoiding her shell shocked father take their toll. Manny struggles to get a part in a movie, that Paige accidentally gets. Paige lets her good fortune go to her head and transforms into a demanding, obnoxious diva, insulting and belittling everyone in her mini-entourage, particularly Marco, which causes a rift in their friendship. A bad break for Paige and help from her ex Jay and the Studz eventually results in Manny's acting dream coming true at last.
During a graduation party, Spinner finds out that his girlfriend, Jane, cheated on him with Declan, and Emma starts a fire at The Dot. Wanting a summer vacation, Jane heads to New York with Fiona, Declan, and Holly J., where she finds an indie band looking for a female lead singer. Trying to comfort Spinner, Manny, Jay and Emma take him to a casino at Niagara Falls.
When you’re in high school, everything feels different in the summer – and for the students of Degrassi, this summer is no exception. Along with the record-breaking temperatures, tensions, romance, and friendships are on the rise. But while everyone hopes this will be the best summer ever, the city might have something else in store for them.
