In August 1994, news broadcasts announce that the ozone layer is fading, and will be completely gone in a matter of months. In Africa, millions have perished from the effects of unfiltered sunlight. Among the dead is Connor MacLeod's wife, Brenda Wyatt MacLeod. Before dying, Brenda extracts a promise from Connor that he will solve the problem of the ozone layer.
Starts off in the 15th century, with Connor McLeod training with another immortal swordsman, the Japanese sorcerer Nakano. When an evil immortal named Kane kills the old wizard, the resulting battle leaves him buried in an underground cave. When Kane resurfaces in the 20th century to create havoc, it's up to McLeod to stop him.
In A.D. 1555, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) returns to his former home in Glenfinnan, Scotland, to save his mother from his former friend and village priest Jacob Kell (Bruce Payne). Kell executes Connor's mother for witchcraft. Connor kills both Kell and Kell's adopted father, Father Rainey, and sets Glenfinnan ablaze. Jacob Kell is reborn as an Immortal, and vows vengeance against Connor for Rainey's death. He spends the next four centuries killing people Connor cares about. Kell amasses great power by ignoring the rules of The Game; he recruits several lesser Immortals as disciples, who overpower other Immortals so Kell can take their heads. By the turn of the century, Kell has 661 Immortal kills (compared to 262 for Connor MacLeod, and 174 for Duncan MacLeod).
In the near future, a group of Immortals quest to locate the mysterious "Source" of immortal power. One member of the group, Zai Jie, breaks into a communications tower in Eastern Europe and contacts his associates to give them the location of the Source. The Guardian of the Source, who has supernatural speed, confronts and decapitates him. Reggie, another group member, discovers that the planets are moving from their orbits into a cosmic alignment.
Inspired by the film of the same name, this follows the life of Duncan MacLeod, clansman of Connor. Here in the modern day, Duncan must fend off old foes and make new friends. Some of the people of his past are still around, some are long dead, and some don't yet know their end is near. Duncan must choose his alliances carefully, because around every corner there is someone looking to take the head of the "Highlander".

Working as a freelance security expert, a private investigator and occasionally even a bodyguard, Nick teams up with Amanda to thwart a number of dastardly doings, most of them involving other Immortals.

This animated series followed the adventures of Quentin MacLeod, the Last of the MacLeods. Set in a post apocalyptic world almost barren of technology and civilization. The Jettator's or Immmortals oath was to lay down their swords and when Kortan decided not to swear the oath so began the wait for the Highlander. It was contended by this series, which was made before Highlander Endgame that Kortan took Conner MacLeod's quickening.
