Aoyagi ignores Teshima's attempts to stop him and goes back to save Kaburagi, who has fallen behind. Meanwhile, with encouragement from Koga, Kaburagi begins to regain his form, but he's still not at full strength. That's when he sees... Aoyagi! Believing Aoyagi has also become exhausted and fallen behind, he moves up and begins racing ahead instead! They catch up to the pack in front of them. In order to get ahead of and out of the pack, Aoyagi hands Kaburagi a note from God so he'll increase his pace. On that note is written the lyrics to a certain song...!
手嶋の制止を振り切り、後方に沈んだ鏑木の救出に向かった青八木。一方、鏑木は古賀の激励もあり少しずつ調子を取り戻すものの、まだ全力を出す事ができない。そこに現れたのは...青八木！ところが鏑木は青八木がバテて落ちてきたと勘違いし、逆に自分が前になって激走！先行する集団に追いつく。青八木はその集団からさらに飛び出すため、ペースを上げる秘策として神様からのメモを鏑木に渡す。そこに書かれていたのは、ある歌の歌詞だった...！
