Kalshara, a junior fairy with very dark intentions, manages to have access to an old hall of Alfea College, where wild magic resides and is turned into an aggressive, animal-like shapeshifting creature. By crossing a source of wild magic, she becomes a shapeshifting animal-like creature. She then cruelly transforms her clumsy brother, Brafilius, into a similar creature and is the first one to be on the move with Kalshara to find the fairy animal who possesses the ultimate power, which will give her total control over all fairy animals. Roxy and the rest of the Winx girls manage to rescue the digmoles. As reward for their heroism, the Winx achieve the Butterflix transformation and return to the present.

Nell’Alfea del passato, una fata dagli oscuri scopi, Kalshara, riesce ad accedere a un’antica sala del collegio: attraversando una sorgente di Magia Selvaggia, diventa una creatura mutaforma, primo passo per ottenere il Potere Ultimo degli Animali Fatati. Impauriti perché la sorgente naturale è stata violata, tutti gli Animali Fatati scappano via da Alfea. Grazie a Faragonda, le Winx e Roxy giungono alla Valle dei Frutti, dove salvano la specie degli Scavatalpa dall’attacco di Kalshara e di suo fratello Brafilius, che vogliono intrappolare gli animaletti per perseguire il loro scopo. Salvando gli Scavatalpa, le Winx ottengono il potere Butterflix.
