Tony the Nanny

Tonys Cousine Anna kommt aus Italien nach Amerika. Sie soll hier verheiratet werden. Bis es soweit ist, muss Tony auf sie aufpassen. Im Hause Bower wird Anna ihr zukünftiger Mann Carlo vorgestellt. Der ist von ihrer schlichten Eleganz auch ganz begeistert. Doch Anna beginnt, sich allmählich zu „amerikanisieren“. Und genau das wollte Carlo gar nicht – er sucht schleunigst das Weite. Tony versucht zu vermitteln. Tatsächlich gelingt es ihm, die beiden wieder zusammenzubringen.

A distant relative of Tony's comes to town to meet the man she is to marry through an arranged marriage. Upon learning that the intended groom is a male chauvinist, Tony throws him out of the house and forbids him to marry his cousin. But this infuriates her father, who flies from Italy to confront Tony.
