It's the beginning of the Showa era. Miyu spends the night at a lonely inn deep in the mountains, where she meets a man traveling with his daughter. The same night, Reiha arrives at the inn in disguise. She sees Miyu as her arch-enemy. The next day, the father and daughter set foot on a mountain from which no one has returned. Worried, Miyu goes after them with Reiha.
C'est le début de l'ère Showa. Miyu passe la nuit dans une auberge solitaire au fond des montagnes, où elle rencontre un homme voyageant avec sa fille. La même nuit, Reiha arrive à l'auberge déguisée. Elle voit Miyu comme son ennemi juré. Le lendemain, le père et la fille ont mis le pied sur une montagne dont personne n'est revenu. Inquiet, Miyu les poursuit avec Reiha.
昭和初期の話。一軒家に泊まった美夕は、そこで巡礼の親子と出会う。そこへ美夕を敵視する雪女・冷羽が現れる。巡礼親子は帰って来た者がいないという山へ登り、幼い娘の消息が気になる美夕は、冷羽とともに後を追った。そこで見たものは・・・。
