Val becomes embroiled in the tricky area of animal rights. He has an altercation with an intimidating greyhound owner, and his mood darkens further when Pat tells him he can no longer go on a junket to Paris. Since it's Val's wedding anniversary, wife Christine is sent on the trip instead.
