Und auf dem Berg oben angekommen, kann das Mammut auch noch auf den Wagen springen, dann geht es zu dritt schneller den Berg runter. Gesagt, getan! Aber eines haben die neuen Postboten nicht bedacht: Der Wagen hat keine Bremsen. Alle zusammen landen sie im großen Dorftümpel. Der Erfinder weiß Rat und montiert ihnen eine Trommelbremse. Die wird bei der nächsten Fahrt so heiß und damit immer schwächer, dass sie wieder die Kontrolle über ihr Gefährt verlieren. Eine Scheibenbremse muss her. Die funktioniert zwar äußerst zuverlässig. Aber einen gewissen Bremsweg benötigt auch diese. Aus einer langen Lektion zum Phänomen Reibung wird am Ende eine Flussfahrt mit Mammuts. (Text: KI.KA)
