Doug, Carrie og Arthur tænker på den første 'Thanksgiving' de holdt sammen.

Als Doug und Carrie darüber zanken, wer von ihnen als erster dem anderen seine Liebe gestanden hat, erinnern sie sich an ein denkwürdiges Thanksgiving zurück: Damals war Arthur noch mit seiner Frau Lily zusammen, und die beiden hatten während der Feier eine heftige Auseinandersetzung. Carrie schämte sich so für das Irrenhaus, in dem sie lebte, dass sie Hals über Kopf aus dem Haus floh. Nun musste Doug sich alleine mit den beiden Streithähnen auseinander setzen ...

After a great Thanksgiving, Doug and Carrie tries to recall their first Thanksgiving together who said, "I Love You" first. They consult Arthur who quickly recalls some other Thanksgivings and finally recalls 1993 when he was having a fight with his new wife Lily. When Doug arrives to the house to meet Carrie's family, Carrie, ashamed of her family, runs off and leaves Doug to have a dinner with each parent one at a time. Even though he physically engraves and rebuffs the bowling balls, Arthur criticizes Doug's job at IPS to be replaced by a robot in the near future. When Carrie comes back, they both express their love for each other as Arthur proclaims that her relationship with Doug will not last.

Arthur se souvient de son premier souper de Thanksgiving, lorsqu'il se battait avec sa nouvelle femme. Carrie morte de honte, s'enfuit, abandonnant Doug alors qu'ils s'apprêtent à aller manger avec ses parents, un à la fois.
