Nick has difficulty learning a "disappearing" magic trick, when who should appear but the Cat in the Hat! He takes Nick and Sally to the coral reef of Scoobamareen. There they learn that distraction is a great way for some sea creatures to hide themselves from other fish that might be looking for a bite to eat. Back at home, Nick and Sally use what they learned to make their stuffed panda disappear!
Nick versucht sich als Zauberer und will seine Pandabär-Puppe verschwinden lassen. Daraufhin zeigt ihm der Kater mit Hut Tiere, die ebenfalls tolle Tricks auf Lager haben und unter Wasser leben: Puffy, der Kugelfisch, kann sich zu einer Kugel aufblasen. Sid, der Tintenfisch, kann eine andere Farbe annehmen. Und die Seegurke Spot kann sich so klein machen, dass sie noch durch die engste Öffnung passt.
