Der Kampf im Bullet of Bullets spitzt zu da immer mehr Spieler im Turnier eliminiert werden, während Kirito dem Geheimnis um den Mysteriösen Death Gun näher kommt.
Sinon shoots at Death Gun, but he dodges the bullet and then kills Pale Rider with his pistol. Death Gun then introduces himself and his gun to the spectators, finishing his monologue with a catchphrase used by PoH, the founder of Laughing Coffin. Meanwhile, Sinon attempts to find out Death Gun's name, but he was not shown on the satellite scan, thus Sinon assumes that he traveled through the battlefield underwater. She and Kirito then decide to follow Death Gun, eventually going to the Lost City. However, since they could not find him along the way, they look for him during the next scan. Seeing that two players, Sterben and Juushi X (銃士Ｘ, Jūshi X?), were present in the city, they decide to go after Juushi X, as his name sounded like Death Gun (死銃, Shijū?) backwards. During the scan, they find Juushi X at a stadium, while Sterben abruptly vanishes from the city. The two rush to the stadium and, after confirming that there was a sniper, decide to split up. However, as Sinon takes a sniping position, she is suddenly shot with a stun bullet. Death Gun, who is actually Sterben, appears and proclaims that he is going to kill her. Sinon tries to defend herself, but then sees that Sterben is carrying the Type 54 Black Star, the same weapon she used to kill the robber at the post office.
L'homme au manteau s'approche de Pale Rider paralysé, et lui tire dessus avec un pistolet. Et, alors qu'il a pourtant encore des HP, Pale Rider disparaît. L'homme au manteau révèle que lui et son pistolet ne sont autres que Death Gun. Asuna et les autres, assistant à la retransmission live du BoB, réalisent avec horreur que l'homme au manteau n'est autre qu'un des anciens chefs des Laughing Coffin. Pendant ce temps, Kirito décide de travailler avec Sinon pour battre Death Gun...
Kirito e Shinon e lavorano insieme per sconfiggere Death Gun. Il primo ostacolo sta nel fatto che non conoscendone il vero nome non possono individuarlo sulla mappa. Nel frattempo, Asuna scopre il rischio a cui Kirito è esposto.
ボロマントの男がペイルライダーを銃撃すると、まだHPが残っているにも関わらず、ベイルライダーは消滅してしまった。ボロマントの男は自らが《死銃》であると明かし、真の死をもたらすと宣言。ストリーム中継で《BoB》を観戦していたアスナ達は、《死銃》が《ラフィン・コフィン》の元幹部であることに気付き、衝撃を受ける。一方、キリトとシノンは、これ以上の被害が出る前に倒すべく、協力して《死銃》を追うのだが……。
데스 건은 시논의 저격을 가볍게 피한 후 다시 유유히 사라진다. 키리토와 시논은 데스 건을 쫓아 강을 따라 도시 폐허 지대로 이동하고... 데스 건으로 유력한 총사 X의 위치를 확인한 후 협공을 준비한다.
