Conceição, a poor girl who leaves the interior of Minas Gerais in search of a new life, away from the coal ovens. She flees on a freight train to Rio de Janeiro, where, later on, she is welcomed by a loving family from the Rio de Janeiro suburb. There she falls in love with Cleiton, the young worker and rebel who grew up without a father and lives on the border between good and evil. At the crossroads of life stories present in the plot, the characters are faced with a precious question for all of us: how to maintain the notion of justice and the ethical and moral principles in an era marked by violence, inequality and decay of values?
