Starsky und Hutch suchen nach der entführten Tochter des reichen Footballteam-Besitzers Haymes. Sie geraten an den Hellseher Joe, von dem sie zu ihrer Überraschung wertvolle Hinweise erhalten.

Huggy introduces the detective duo to a friend of his, opening up a new cafe, who unwittingly has clairvoyant visions. Starsky is sceptical of such psychic ability, Hutch more willing to believe, but the psychic's predictions start to come true when his visions tie in to the whereabouts of a wealthy businessman's kidnapped teenage daughter, who is being held for a large ransom...

La fille du richissime sponsor d'une équipe de base ball vient d'être kidnappée. Grâce à Joe Callandra, un ivrogne qui possède des dons extra-sensoriels, Starsky et Hutch découvrent un meurtre qui, apparemment, n'a aucun lien avec l'enlèvement. Les prédictions de l'ivrogne se révèlent exactes. Hutch va se substituer au père de la jeune fille au moment de la remise de rançon aux présumés ravisseurs...
