Nescházejí se hory s horami, ale lidé s lidmi. A svět je vlastně strašně malé místo. Což platí, jak mají Charlie a Caitlin zčista jasna ke svému velkému překvapení zjistit, i o tak velké zemi, jako je Amerika... Mohlo to být tenkrát setkání, které mohlo změnit celý jejich život. Jenže všechno má svůj čas - a ten jejich tenkrát ještě asi nenazrál. Ovšem co nebylo kdysi může být dnes. Ještě nemají zmeškáno. Nebo že by ano?
Caitlin ist fest davon überzeugt, dass ihr aufmerksamer Freund Tom sie mit Tickets für das ersehnte U2-Konzert überraschen wird. Doch leider hat Tom ihren Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl missverstanden und Theaterkarten besorgt. Charlie nutzt natürlich die Gelegenheit, sich über das missratene Geschenk lustig zu machen und Toms Fähigkeiten als Liebhaber in Frage zu stellen. Schließlich realisiert Caitlin, dass Charlie schon einmal für das Ende einer Romanze verantwortlich war.
Caitlin takes a trip down memory lane and realizes that she and Charlie met years before and that he was the reason why she lost what might have been the best relationship of her life. Flashback to a preppy and conservative Caitlin and a cool, life-of-the-party Charlie at an old college bash. The flashback makes Caitlin realize that her current boyfriend, Tom, might not be right for her, and she ends up kissing Charlie! Meanwhile, the Mayor bartends at a fundraiser at which Paul is trying to pick up a woman, and the woman's friend has fallen for Carter, who is gay.
