Der frühere Lehrer Sid-sensei ist von irgendjemandem in einen Zombie verwandelt worden. Shinigami setzt Soul, Maka, Black Star und Tsubaki darauf an, diesen Lehrer unschädlich zu machen und dabei gleichzeitig herauszufinden, wer hinter seiner Verwandlung steckt.
Maka and Soul Eater are discussing the rumors of their teacher, Sid Barett, who was stabbed in the head, becoming a zombie and preying upon the students when Maka's father comes in. As the temporary teacher replacement, he informs Maka and Soul that Shinigami wants to see them. Upon reporting to Shinigami's room, they meet up with Black Star and Tsubaki who were also called there. Shinigami tells them that because they failed to collect any souls, they would have to complete an "extra lesson". They are to find and stop Sid and the person who turned him into a zombie. They go to the cemetery, and Sid attacks them, wielding his own gravestone as a weapon. Maka and Soul attempt their Soul Resonance - "Witch Hunt" but are unable to control it properly and fail in dealing any damage. Black Star captures Sid with Tsubaki's chain, and it is revealed that Shinigami knows that the one who made Sid a zombie was Death Scythe's first partner before he worked with Maka's mother, Dr. Franken Stein.
Maka, Soul, Black Star et Tsubaki sont convoqués par Maître Shinigami. Ce dernier, mécontent de leurs dernières performances, leur annonce qu'il doivent mener à bien un cours de rattrapage si ils souhaitent rester à l'institut. Il s'agit pour l'occasion de défaire un ancien professeur de l'académie qui s'attaque depuis sa transformation en zombie, à ses anciens élèves...
Nella Shibusen gira voce che il maestro Sid, uno degli insegnanti della scuola, sia morto e che adesso vuole che anche gli studenti seguano la sua fine. Scampando alla lezione tenuta dal provvisorio professore Spirit, padre di Maka, questi e il suo partner Soul con Black Star e Tsubaki, poiché sono senza neanche un uovo di Kishin, vengono mandati dal Sommo Shinigami a fare un corso di recupero davvero impegnativo al cimitero. Infatti i quattro studenti devono sconfiggere lo zombie di Sid e capire chi lo abbia ridotto così. Sconfittolo, scoprono che il responsabile è un forte maestro d'armi in passato allievo della Shibusen, Franken Stein. Così Maka e gli altri raggiungono la casa di Stein.
ソウルとマカ、ブラック☆スターと椿のコンビは、ある日死神様より「補習授業」を命じられてしまう。その内容とはかつて死武専の教師であり、何者かの手によりゾンビ化してしまったシド先生を倒せというもの。早々にシドの墓場にて急襲を受けた4人だったが、シドは生前、「職人」の中でも最高ランク「三つ星」の持ち主であった。マカたちは無事ミッションを完遂させることができるのだろうか…！？
Так как Мака, Соул, блэк Стар и Цубаки на данный момент не имеют в запасе собранных душ, Шинигами-сама отправляет их на дополнительное занятие, провал которого будет означать исключение. Все четверо попадают на кладбище, где на них нападает Сид Баррет, их недавно почивший преподаватель, а ныне воскресший в виде зомби.
Maka y Soul Eater son llamados por Shinigami-sama durante una clase y se encuentran también con Tsubaki y Black*Star. El motivo de la reunión es que han de ir a clases de refuerzo por haber fallado en la recolección de almas Kishin. Su misión extra consiste en ir a un cementerio y resolver el misterio de los ataques ocurridos allí.
