The Checks

Jerry bekommt laufend Tantiemen-Schecks aus Japan, wo ein Ein-Sekunden-Spot von ihm im Fernsehen läuft. Jeder dieser Schecks ist zwar nur 12 Cent wert, aber es sind so viele, daß Jerry vom Gegenzeichnen einen Krampf in der Hand bekommt. Kramer läßt drei Japaner in seiner "Fardman-Kommode" übernachten. Diese Kommode ist ein Geschenk von Elaines neuem Freund Brett an Kramer, der nun aus Jerrys Bekanntheitsgrad bei den Japanern ein Geschäft machen will und nur Chaos anrichtet.

Elaine's new boyfriend, Brett, is obsessed with designer furniture and the song "Desperado." Jerry spots an umbrella salesman using the sales technique he invented. The salesman says it was someone else. Hundreds of twelve-cent royalty checks keep arriving from Jerry's brief appearance on a Japanese television. Kramer warns George that the carpet cleaners he hired are actually a front for a religious cult. Intrigued, George tries to be converted, but they're not interested. Kramer meets some Japanese businessman and he takes them on the town and to the cleaners. He is a little confused about the exchange rate. Brett delivers a large chest of drawers to Kramer and thinks that Jerry might be jealous. Kramer thinks the TV pilot that Jerry and George did would be perfect for Japanese television. They pitch it to a couple of Japanese TV executives. Elaine tries to find a song that she and Brett can share. Kramer puts his Japanese friends up at his place. They're sleeping in the chest of drawers. Jerry caught in the rain meets the man in the street that claims credit for the twirl. He also meets Brett who is convinced Jerry is down on his luck. George gets the cleaners to do the offices at Yankee Stadium where they find a new recruit. Because of the humidity from the hot tub, Kramer's guests get stuck in the chest. Jerry, with writer's cramp from check signing, uses a fire ax to open the chest. That scares the Japanese guests and injures Brett who passes out.

Il nuovo ragazzo di Elaine è un tipo un po' strano: è ossessionato dal design per arredamenti e dalla canzone "Desperado" degli Eagles. Jerry farà un'apparizione per la tv giapponese. Kramer suggerisce a Jerry e George che il loro pilot televisivo potrebbe essere venduto alla televisione nipponica, e in seguito si improvvisa un'improbabile guida per turisti giapponesi.

A fama de Jerry no Japão faz com que Kramer ganhe a simpatia de um grupo de turistas e inspira George a recordar o seu episódio piloto.

Brett, el nuevo novio de Elaine, está obsesinado con un diseñador de muebles y con la canción 'Desperado'. Además, Kramer advierte a George de que el limpiador de alfombras que el despidió es actualmente el líder de una secta religiosa. Intrigado por el hecho, George intenta entrar en ella, pero ellos no están interesados en él.

O novo namorado de Elaine é obcecado com a música “Desperado”. Elaine quer procurar uma música que os dois possam compartilhar. Jerry descobre que um vendedor de guarda-chuvas está usando suas técnicas de vendas, mas ele disse que a técnica pertence a uma outra pessoa. Jerry fica recebendo cheques de uma aparição que fez na tv do Japão e Kramer acha que o piloto que George e Jerry fizeram será ótimo para a tv japonesa. George fica sabendo que a os funcionários de uma empresa que limpa carpetes pertence a um culto secreto e fica intrigado quando eles não se interessam em convertê-lo. Kramer acomoda os empresários japoneses numa cômoda, para que assim possam dormir, mas eles acabam ficando presos na gaveta.
