Um sich von den tragischen Ereignissen zu erholen, führt Kanbei die Samurai in eine Art Vergnügungsstadt damit diese sich dort etwas erholen können. Kanbei selbst besucht in der Stadt einen alten Freund, Shichiroji, der mit ihm im grossen Krieg gekämpft hat. Shichiroji lebt seitdem ein friedliches Leben. Doch kann ein Samurai einfach so seine Vergangenheit ablegen?
With Ukyo hot on their trail, Kambei and the others visit his old friend, Shichiroji, at an inn in the city of Kougakyo. Shichiroji tells them of a secret passage they can use to escape. Will they be able to loose Ukyo? Will Shichiroji join them or will he stay behind with Yukino? And, what has happened to Kikuchiyo?
Avec Ukyo à leurs trousses, Kambei et les autres rendent visite à son vieil ami Shichiroji dans une auberge de la ville de Kougakyo. Shichiroji leur montre un passage secret qu'ils peuvent utiliser pour s'échapper. Pourront-ils distancer Ukyo ? Est-ce que Shichiroji se joindra à eux ou restera t-il avec Yukino ? Et qu'est-il arrivé à Kikuchiyo ?
Kirara e i samurai trovano rifugio in una casa di piacere nel sottosuolo di Kogakyo dove Kambei incontra un suo vecchio compagno, Shichiroji, sopravvissuto miracolosamente alla loro ultima battaglia insieme ed accasatosi presso la sua salvatrice, la giovane geisha Yukio. Shichiroji accetta di unirsi al gruppo, e grazie anche all'intervento del redivivo Kikuchiyo il gruppo riesce a sfuggire alla retata organizzata da Ukyoo, ancora determinato a fare sua Kirara.
遊興娯楽の宿場街「癒しの里」にはサムライのシチロージがいた。カンベエの副官として戦場を渡り歩いたこの男も、今はサムライを辞めて料亭「蛍屋」の女将ユキノと情を交わしながら、お座敷で太鼓持ちの生活に甘んじていた。そこに現れるカンベエ。シチロージとユキノは、何気ない日々の幸せに終わりが来た事を察して…。
Com Ukyo quente no rastro deles/delas, Kambei e os outros visitam o velho amigo dele, Shichiroji, em uma hospedaria na cidade de Kougakyo. Shichiroji lhes conta uma passagem secreta eles podem usar para escapar.
Tras escapar de Ukyo y con la ayuda de su amigo Shichiroji, Kambei y los otros usan un pasadizo secreto para evitar que los capturen.
Kambei i inni uciekają przed Ukyo tajnym przejściem. Pomaga im Shichiroji.
