Ash e Goh hanno deciso di partecipare alla Grande mostra sui Pokémon fossili e Chloe ha deciso di andare con loro per il suo progetto di ricerca scolastico. I tre decidono di partecipare a un'attività in cui saranno in grado di ripristinare i fossili in Pokémon se ne trovano uno in buone condizioni. Goh caccia come un matto finché non trova un'Ambra Vecchia, il fossile che può essere ripristinato nel Pokémon Fossile, Aerodactyl.
Sacha et Goh visitent le Musée des Sciences d'Argenta avec Chloé. Goh se rend sur un site de fouilles pour trouver un Pokémon Fossile, mais la Team Rocket est déjà là !
Ash y Goh intentan asistir a una exhibición de Pokémon fósiles que se lleva a cabo en el Museo de la Ciencia de Ciudad Plateada. Chloe decide acompañarlos ya que esto puede ser de gran ayuda para su proyecto de investigación. Como la cola cierra en cuanto llegan al lugar, los tres deciden unirse a una actividad de excavación de fósiles donde podrán restaurar fósiles si encuentran alguno en buenas condiciones.
Ash und Goh haben nur noch Fossil-Pokémon im Kopf und Chloe arbeitet an einem Wissenschaftsprojekt, deshalb machen sie sich gleich auf zum Wissenschaftsmuseum von Marmoria City! Dort treffen sie einen Mann, der eine unheimliche Ähnlichkeit mit dem Ausgrabungsleiter hat, den unsere Helden in der Einall-Region kennenlernten. Aber er beteuert ihnen, dass er der Kurator des Wissenschaftsmuseums ist! Bei einer Fossiliengrabung finden unsere Helden alle möglichen antiken Artefakte – sogar ein Stück Altbernstein! Aber Team Rocket schmiedet wie immer hinterhältige Pläne. Als sie heimlich versuchen, eine Fossil-Pokémon-Restaurierungsmaschine zu bedienen, explodiert sie! Währenddessen hat Goh es auf ein angriffslustiges Aerodactyl abgesehen. Nach einem heftigen Kampf bittet Goh es, sein Freund zu werden. Aerodactyl stimmt zu, und Goh gewinnt einen brandneuen, uralten Pokémon-Freund!
