Ash und seine Freunde finden heiße Quellen, die wilde Pokemon nicht nur beruhigen sondern auch heilen. Sie lernen Nelson kennen, der rund um die heißen Quellen Sensoren aufgebaut hat, weil er sich sicher ist, dass Entei, ein legendäres Pokemon, hier auftauchen wird. Mit Hilfe seines Traunfugil und dessen Horrorblick-Attacke glaubt er, es auch ohne Schwierigkeiten fangen zu können. Doch er irrt sich. Als Nelson, Ash und seine Freunde von Team Rocket angegriffen werden, hilft ihnen Entei in allerletzter Sekunde. Nelson fordert Entei zu einem Kampf heraus. Doch Traunfugils Attacken können Entei nichts anhaben. Es verschwindet genauso schnell, wie es gekommen ist. Rockos Tannza hat sich zu Forstellka weiterentwickelt.
On their way to Mount Silver, the gang come across a hot spring and meet Nelson who is looking for an Entei. Ash, Misty and Brock decide to release their Pokemon for them to enjoy the hot springs and hot sand. Team Rocket appear pretending to be researchers in order to steal Larvitar. After escaping from Rocket's truck, Nelson and his Misdreavous meet Ash again.Nelson wants to battle Ash, so Ash sends out Phanpy first. While battling, TR steal Misdreavous after they find out how powerful she is. Rocket then steal all the wild Pokemon in the hot spring as well as Brock's Pinco. When Brock chases after it, Pineco evolves into Forretress. After Rocket over-powers their machine, it causes the hot spring to get out of control. But then, Entei's flamethrower saves the spring and blasts TR away. Nelson then tries to catch Entei, but it uses roar to escape.
Poursuivant leur voyage, nos amis tombent sur des sources chaudes ayant des effets bénéfiques sur les Pokémon. Ils rencontrent un jeune garçon qui souhaite capturer un Entei. Malheureusement pour lui, Entei contrera toutes ses attaques et forcera son Pokémon spectre, Feuforêve, à retourner dans sa Pokéball. Cependant, Nelson n’abandonnera pas, tant et aussi longtemps qu’il ne l’aura pas capturer. (Dans cet épisode, le Pomdepik de Pierre évolue en Foretress).
