Lord Tenjin teilt Yato eine vernichtende Entscheidung mit. Nora setzt ihre Phantome auf Hiyori an, allerdings mit schockierenden Ergebnissen.
As Yukine takes up a part time job at Daikoku's food stand to help repay what he stole, he and Hiyori hear from Miyu about how Tenjin banished one of his regalias for stinging him with blight. Meanwhile, Tenjin informs Yato, who finally contemplates fulfilling Hiyori's request, that he may be able to fix her problem if he cuts his ties with her. On New Year's Day, as Yato and Yukine fight a group of phantoms, Hiyori, who was on a shrine visit with her friends, is lured out by Nora, who sends her own phantoms to chase after her. As Hiyori is saved as the phantoms are dissolved by dawn's sunlight, Nora informs her about Rabo and his desire to kill Yato, telling her to stop existing. After Yato and Yukine manage to defeat all the phantoms, they catch up to Hiyori, only to find she has no memory of who Yato is.
Yukine décide de reprendre sa vie en main : il occupe un petit boulot chez Kofuku et Daikoku pour rembourser ses vols et il demande à Hiyori de lui prêter ses livres de cours afin de continuer à apprendre.
Il sommo Tenjin comunica a Yato una devastante decisione e Nora manda i suoi Spettri dietro a Hiyori, con risultati scioccanti.
年末年始を迎え初詣に出かけたひよりは野良と遭遇してしまう。

자신을 여러 번 도와준 히요리의 체질을 정말로(!) 고쳐주기 위해 야토는 텐진을 찾아간다. 텐진은 야토와 히요리 사이의 연 자체를 끊어보면 어떻겠냐 제안하는데... 한편, 히요리는 부탁하면 뭐든지 베준다는 신, 라보에 대해 듣게 된다.
Юкинэ находит работу и решает учиться, отчего Ято переполнен гордостью. Также он наконец решает выполнить желание Хиёри. Тэндзин предлагает ему рассечь узы между ним и девушкой. В это же время, по школе ползут слухи о новом боге бедствий — Лаве.
Yukine acepta un empleo a tiempo parcial en puesto de comida de Daikoku ayuda a devolver lo que robó, y quiere utilizar viejos libros de texto de Hiyori para aprender como estudiantes normales. Tenjin sugiere lazos Yato Sever con Hiyori a llevarla de vuelta a la normalidad, lo que le molesta.
No Ano Novo, Hiyori visita um santuário próximo. Nora e um deus sinistro da Calamidade chamado Rabo têm outros planos para ela. No entanto…
