Marie is thrown by an encounter with one of her husband Paul's accusers and a bruising interview on her marriage by Paul's barrister, Zoe. She begins to question why she's remained loyal to Paul for so long, despite his many affairs. Is it love, or denial? Gerry presents Paul with evidence that seems to thoroughly discredit his key accuser. But it comes with uncomfortable advice that leaves Paul torn.
Paul and his family head for court to face the accusers and await the verdict. Paul has his own ideas about how to proceed, and in defiance of Jerome's recommendations, is determined to take the witness stand himself and give his side of the story. However, it seems that Karl may hold the key to determining the outcome of the trial. Dee starts to suspect that Marie's faith in her husband's innocence may be wavering and that even if he is innocent, their marriage may not survive.
