敵の渡世人を追う伊三郎に好意をもつ少女。その渡世人には強い浪人の味方がいた。果たし状を受け取った伊三郎は浪人と斬りあうが倒れたのは浪人のほうだった。伊三郎の腕についている鈴から、伊三郎の姉が渡世人の妾であることがわかる。伊三郎は渡世人を斬ることで、姉への思いを断ち切る。そうして思い出の鈴を少女に与えると伊三郎は去っていった。
Isaburō, chasing a gang member who killed one of his comrades, gains the admiration of a young girl. However, the gang member has the support of a skilled rōnin. Isaburō receives a challenge to duel the rōnin and emerges victorious. From a bell tied to Isaburō’s wrist, the truth emerges: his sister is the gang member’s mistress. To sever ties with the painful past, Isaburō kills the gang member, bids farewell to his sister in his heart, and gives the bell to the girl before continuing his solitary journey.
