With Banagher Links as its master, the Unicorn Gundam goes into action. The mobile suit that is said to be the key to Laplace’s Box offers a glimpse of its incredible power in single combat against Marida Cruz and her Kshatriya. After the battle, the Unicorn Gundam is captured by the Londo Bell warship Nahel Argama. Also aboard the ship are Micott, Takuya, and Audrey, who have been rescued by a Londo Bell pilot named Riddhe Marcenas. Full Frontal, leader of the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves, launches an attack on the Nahel Argama with his mobile suit Sinanju in order to obtain the Box. Frontal, the so-called “second coming of Char Aznable,” claims to be a vessel embodying the hopes of the Spacenoids. What will happen when he encounters Banagher on the battlefield?

Uscito con il Gundam sul campo di battaglia, Banagher quasi involontariamente respinge gli attacchi delle truppe di Neo Zeon, salvando così la Nahel Argama, nave della Federazione Terrestre, da un disastro annunciato. Dopo aver perso i sensi, il giovane viene recuperato dalla stessa Nahel Argama insieme al Gundam e si ritrova a bordo insieme a Audrey, ovvero Mineva Zabi, principessa di Neo Zeon, prigioniera delle truppe federali. Ma le truppe di Neo Zeon non intendono rinunciare allo Scrigno di Laplace e tantomeno alla sua “chiave”, rappresentata dallo stesso Gundam Unicorn, e ripartono all’offensiva guidati da Full Frontal (apparentemente l’incarnazione di Char Aznable). Nel tentativo di fermare l’attacco Daguza, ufficiale delle truppe speciali federali dell’ECOAS, cerca di usare Mineva come ostaggio, ma Frontal non pare intenzionato a fermarsi nemmeno davanti a un simile ricatto. Quando la situazione sembra precipitare, Banagher si precipita nuovamente a bordo del Gundam e affronta Full Frontal in persona...
今際の際のビスト財団当主、カーディアスから、『ラプラスの箱』の『鍵』となるモビルスーツ《ユニコ−ン》を託された少年バナージ・リンクスは、『袖付き』のマリーダ中尉が駆る《クシャトリヤ》と交戦後、ロンド・ベルの強襲揚陸艦《ネェル・アーガマ》に拿獲（だかく）されてしまう。その艦には、バナージの友人のタクヤとミコットと共に、『箱』の譲渡を阻止しようとしてカーディアスと接触した少女オードリー・バーンも収容されていた。
その《ネェル・アーガマ》に対し、単機で挑みかかるモビルスーツが出現する。 《シナンジュ》と呼ばれる真紅の機体を駆る人物こそ、『シャアの再来』の二つ名を持つ『袖付き』の首魁（しゅかい）、フル・フロンタルだった——。
버나지 링크스라는 주인을 얻고, 드디어 움직이기 시작한 유니콘 건담. 라플라스의 상자의 열쇠라고 불리는 기체는, 마리다 크루스가 조종하는 크샤트리아와의 전투에서 그 압도적인 성능의 일부를 보인 후, 론도 벨의 강습양륙함 넬 아가마에 나포된다. 전함에는 론도 벨의 MS 파일럿인 리디 마세나스에 의해 기적적으로 구조된 미코트와 타쿠야, 그리고 오드리도 있었다. 그러나 상자를 노리는 네오 지온 잔당군 소데츠키의 수괴, 풀 프론탈이 애기인 시난주를 타고 넬 아가마에 접근하고 있었다. 스페이스 노이드의 생각을 구현하는 기구를 자부하고, "샤아의 재래"로 일컬어지는 그와 버나지의 접촉은, 전장에 무엇을 불러올까.
