ザフト勢力圏の砂漠に降下したアークエンジェルに、ザフト軍のMSであるバクゥが襲いかかる。キラは慣れない戦闘環境になんとか対応しようとする。
The Archangel is attacked by multiple TMF/A-802 BuCUE units. Kira hastily takes off and fights the ZAFT forces, but he is unfamiliar with the desert environment. His ability to adapt amazes ZAFT's commander Andrew Waltfeld. When the Strike is about to run out of power, a resistance group comes to his aid and lures the remaining BuCUE units into an explosive trap.
Kira muss in seinem ersten Kampf auf der Erde die ZAFT Einheiten abwehren. Seine Fähigkeit sich anzupassen beindruckt Andrew Waltfelt, Kommander der ZAFT und ein legendärer Wustentiger. Doch Kiras Energie neigt sich zu Ende und gerade als er die Hoffnung verliert, kommen ihm Rebellengruppen zu Hilfe.
L'Archangel se retrouve attaqué en plein milieu de la nuit par les forces de ZAFT emmenées par Andrew Waldfeld, surnommé le "Tigre du Désert". Kira se lance à la rencontre des assaillants, mais, peu habitué à la gravité terrestre et au combat sur sol instable, il éprouve tout d'abord de sérieuses difficultés face aux Bacows.
