In the year 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient sparefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time. They called it the greatest discovery in human history. The civilizations of the galaxy call it... MASS EFFECT.
The botched hearing at the Citadel leaves Saren in the clear and humanity scrounging for intangible evidence. In a bid to bring the renegade turian to justice, Shepard must find proof of Saren's betrayal. But with only a handful of untrustworthy and dangerous leads, their appeal seems grim.
Saren's guilt proven and humanity's acceptance into the Spectres a reality, Commander Shepard takes the Normandy and her crew into the Attican Traverse in search of the rogue agent to ascertain his intentions with the geth and so-called reapers. Shepard's first stop is Therum in search of archaeologist Liara T'Soni, daughter of the other voice on the recording.
The thorian dead, the colonists of Feros are free to go back to peaceful lifestyle they expected when they signed up for Exogeni. Meanwhile, Shepard sets his sights on the barren icy plains of Noveria, where geth sightings peak interest amid the shady corporations that work there.
With access to Peak 15, Liara is one step closer to confronting her mother over her allegiance to Saren.
Saren plans to breed an army of krogan warriors to fight his cause. This cannot happen. With the aid of the salarian squad, Shepard and the rest of the crew prepare for a fight they may not all come home from.
The crew of the Normandy are now fugitives on the run, hunting down Saren without Council backing in one last desperate bid to prevent Saren from achieving his goals at the fabled prothean world of Ilos.
One month after the devastating geth attack on the Citadel, humanity seized political control of the galaxy. Now the human-led Council is forced to respond to evidence that the reapers - enormous machines that eradicate all advanced civilizations every 50,000 years - have returned. To quell the rumours, the Council has sent Commander Shepard and the Normandy to wipe out the last pockets of geth resistance. Officially, they blame the invasion on the geth and their leader, a rogue Spectre. But for those who know the truth, the search for answers is just beginning...
The recently deceased Shepard finds himself embroiled in a bid to save a seedy district of Omega to consolidate the help of a salarian professor who may be able to shed some light on the collectors. Favour for a favour, the Commander questions the selflessness of residents of the Terminus systems.
The salarian professor Mordin, old friend Garrus, and psychotic biotic Jack on-board, the acquisitions seem to be progressing flawlessly. Next on the list is the krogan warlord Okeer, who has recently been spotted trading with the collectors. But without readable intentions, Shepard is hard placed to figure out which side the warlord is on.
Disgruntled from his run-in with old flame Ashley on Horizon, Shepard goes in search of another old friend who can help him with the Collectors. Unfortunately, an all too familiar enemy is lying in wait for him.
Amid appeasing a rowdy squad, Shepard receives word that the collector ship they have been preparing to go into battle against is now dead in the water after a turian assault. While they still have the opportunity, the Normandy sets course to inspect the bloodied behemoth and gain some more insight into the collectors' plans.
The crew bickers as Shepard contemplates what to do with the geth platform they recovered from the derelict reaper. Meanwhile, Tali receives word from the migrant fleet and approaches the commander with some not-so-good news.
Reeling after the crew's abduction, the Normandy pursues the collector kidnappers through the Omega 4 relay, despite being wholly unprepared for their final suicide mission. As they depart known space, Shepard reflects on the person he's leaving behind.
Days after taking out the collector base and returning to the Normandy with a few empty rooms, the Illusive Man begrudgingly tasks Shepard with fixing another Cerberus mistake.
Wracked with mounting casualties, Shepard's walls finally start breaking down, but when the Illusive Man provides intel on the Shadow Broker as a gesture of good faith, Shepard heads for Illium to pass on the information to his old friend Liara to aide her ongoing battle with the broker. But complications arise and Shepard joins forces with a Spectre to track Liara down.
Having stayed as the Shadow Broker's guests for a few months, the Normandy departs when a personal call from Admiral Hackett entrusts Shepard with a very private request to save his friend Amanda Kenson from batarians with the promise she holds urgent information on the reapers.
In 2157, humanity discovered it was not alone in the universe. Thirty years later, they found a peaceful place among dozens of galactic species. But this idyllic future is overshadowed by a dark past; reapers, a sentient race of machines responsible for cleansing the galaxy of all space-faring life every 50,000 years, are about to return. The leaders of the galaxy are paralyzed by indecision, unable to accept the legend of the reapers as fact. But one soldier has seen the legend come to life. And now, the fate of the galaxy depends on him.
With the reapers terrorizing earth and one of his crew in the infirmary, Shepard's pleas to the council for aid go ignored. But with the turian homeworld also facing the might of the reaper fleet, a quid pro quo arrangement may be on the cards.
Safely aboard the Normandy, the galaxy's most important female krogan undergoes Mordin's tests to cure the genophage. Meanwhile, both Victus and Wrex have sensitive problems that could undo all of Shepard's efforts to unite the races.
With Mordin's cure ready, the team heads to Tuchanka to end the genophage, placate Wrex and earn krogan & turian boots on the ground. But a call from the salarian dalatrass has Shepard torn; what is he willing to do to save earth?
With old friends and allies in the casualty lists on Tuchanka and the Citadel, the Normandy has little time to mourn as they head for the far rim in the hopes of enlisting the quarians' help in the war effort. But a big ole shitstorm awaits.
Shepard has done the impossible; uniting turian, salarian, quarian and geth for his cause. Victory is in their clutches as the asari councilor calls him in to discuss the catalyst. All that's left is to retrieve the final piece of the crucible on the besieged asari homeworld and they can all go home.
With Cerberus in possession of the final piece of the catalyst, the Alliance Navy launches a desperate assault against the Illusive Man's base while Shepard's crew prepare for the final push towards earth.
Preview for the upcoming Mass Effect 2 Mini Series by CShep25.
Two days after the Suicide Mission, the Normandy is cruising through the Omega Nebula when the Illusive Man begrudgingly tasks Shepard with fixing another of his Cerberus messes.
The surviving scientist, Dr Archer informs Shepard of the situation; a human test subject has gone insane after interfacing with the geth causing massive loss of life. It's up to Shepard to disengage the lock down and take down Archer's brother.
Having disabled the lockdown, the team head for Atlas Station; home to David, the rogue VI.
The Illusive Man helpfully provides Shepard with information on the Shadow Broker as a gesture of good faith with Liara. The Normandy heads to Illium to provide Shepard's old teammate with this valuable information, but complications arise when an attempt is made on her life, causing Shepard to team up with Tela Vasir, asari Spectre, to bring Liara in safely.
With the revelation that Vasir is a double agent for the Shadow Broker, Shepard and Liara must pursue her through the crowded city of Nos Astra in order to find vital information on the whereabouts of the Shadow Broker and Feron.
Liara and Shepard must face more Shadow Broker agents as they battle their way to the interrogation wing of the Shadow Broker's base.
Having stayed as the Shadow Broker's guests for a few months, the crew of the Normandy depart when a personal call from Admiral Hackett entrusts Shepard with a very private matter.
The batarians eating their dust, Shepard and Kenson head to the Project facility to review the imminent threat posed by the reapers.
Shepard battles through the indoctrinated guards to reach engineering, intent on stopping Kenson once and for all.
So Mass Effect Chronicles has come to an end. But despite that, there's still a little more to show. Given the premise of this in-betweeny series beign that of exploring Shepard's character and unique scenes not seen in the game, there was additional footage should there have been more than three ME2 DLCs. But be aware, these are deleted for a reason. They're unfinished and pretty shoddy; not as much spit and polish went into these scenes as the others that graced the episodes.
