Wegen eines vermasselten Experiments im Unterricht bekommen Akko, Sucy und Lotte als Strafaufgabe aufgebrummt, die diesjährige Hexenparade zu organisieren. Eine Strafe ist es deswegen, weil die Tradition gebietet, dass man durch die Parade an die Zeit der Hexenverfolgung erinnert. Das geschieht zwar mehr oder weniger auf spielerische Weise, aber die „Freiwilligen“ werden dennoch im Laufe der Veranstaltung reichlich mit Obst und Gemüse beworfen. Akko findet dieses archaische und deprimierende Konzept natürlich absolut bescheuert und beschließt, mit ihren Freundinnen und drei weiteren zu dieser Aufgabe verdonnerten Schülerinnen, durch die Parade den Bewohnern der Stadt zu zeigen, wie großartig Magie ist. Dabei hat sie aufwändige Effekte, Feuerwerk und umfassendes Unterhaltungsprogramm im Sinn, im Stil ihres großen Vorbilds Shiny Chariot. Als problematisch erweist sich jedoch, dass den Hexen in der Stadt die magische Energie recht schnell ausgeht, da sie nur in der Akademie, innerhalb des Einflussbereichs des Sorcerer’s Stone, ungehindert zaubern können. Aber Akko wäre nicht Akko, wenn ihr nicht auch dafür eine Lösung einfallen würde …
You can tell witch training is not going swimmingly for the young sorceresses Akko, Lotte, and Sucy—they face expulsion for screwing up one class too many, and their only way out is if they successfully organize their academy's annual parade through a nearby town. But when they stumble upon the momentous discovery that the objective of the parade is to humiliate witches and commemorate their past subjugation, Akko decides it is time for a change: It is time to show the world how fantastic modern witches truly are! However, with the other girls struggling to keep up with Akko's grandiose ambitions, and everything from mischievous boys to slumbering giants getting in their way, maybe pulling it off will require not only all the magical prowess the pupils of Luna Nova Magical Academy can muster, but also a miracle.

Akko, Lotte e Sucy, dopo aver combinato una serie di guai durante una lezione, sono costrette per non essere bocciate a collaborare con altre tre studentesse Amanda O'Neill, Constanze Braunschbank Albrechtsberger e Jasminka Antonenko per organizzare la tradizionale parata annuale delle streghe che si svolge nella città vicina alla scuola. Quando però Akko scopre che la parata non è altro che una rievocazione delle persecuzioni subite dalle streghe nei secoli passati, decide di svecchiare l'avvenimento per presentare le streghe in una luce più moderna, lontana dagli stereotipi del passato. Purtroppo però con il suo esuberante entusiasmo, Akko si trova ad ignorare sempre più i pareri e i sentimenti delle altre sue compagne ed amiche, entrando presto in contrasto con loro, che in fondo, conoscendo la sua fama di "combinaguai" non hanno mai avuto fiducia nel suo progetto.
