Peter Rostov, ein Geschäftsmann russischer Herkunft, stirbt durch das starke Gift Rizin, das ihm in tödlicher Dosis verabreicht wurde. Green und Cassady ermitteln und stellen fest, dass der ehrenwerte Geschäftsmann ein Mädchenschlepper ist und zusammen mit seinem Bruder Karl ein Bordell betreibt, in dem russische Mädchen zur Prostitution gezwungen werden. Als der Puff ausgehoben wird, erfahren die Detectives von einem der Mädchen, dass die Rostovs eine Frau namens Nadia Brezin umgebracht haben. Bei der Auswertung der Überwachungsbänder aus der Bar kommen sie dem Vater von Nadia auf die Spur. Er ist Polizist in Moskau und ehemaliger KGB-Mann. Green and Cassady get mixed up with the Russian consulate after Peter Rostov dies of ricin poisoning. Their investigation leads them first to his work, where they learn he spent a great deal of time traveling back and forth between Russia, and secondly to his brother, Karl. It isn't long before they link the Rostov brothers to an illegal prostitution ring trafficking in young Russian woman, but McCoy is faced with trying to get the remaining Rostov brother to testify so he can prosecute Brezin, the father of one of the trafficked girls.
